Flow visualization is one of visualization techniques and it means a visual expression of vector data using 2D or 3D graphics. It aims for human to easily understand a special feature of the vector data. Flow visualization can be classified into various criterions such as visualization technique, data dimension, type of the flow, and so on. Visualization technique can be categorized into direct method, integration method and derived data based method. Data dimension can be divided into 2D, 2.5D and 3D. Type of flow data may be classified into steady and unsteady. In this paper, various LIC based flow visualization methods will be introduced which is one of representative integration based techniques. Those methods will be categorized with more detailed criterions such as dimension and type of flows.

최근 미국의 중견석유기업 및 유럽의 주요석유기업의 전략에 단적으로 보여지고 있는 것 같이 석유산업에 있어서 「인티그레이션(통합)」의 개념이 바뀌고 있다. 요컨대, 1970년대 이전에 보여주었던 「석유흐음의 중시」의 수직통합의 움직임에 대신하여 (페르시아만 산유국을 중심으로 종래의 수식통합지향의 기업도 일부 존속하고 있는 곳도 있다.) 자사내의 수직통합이 아닌 시장지향 (Market Oriented)을 특성으로 한 새로운 「통합」전략을 표방하는 기업이증가하고 있다. 한편으로 가장 우위를 점하고 있는 분야ㆍ지역으로의 특화 및 사업의 「분산」화를 경영전략으로서의 표방하는 기업도 출현하는 등 시장의 글로벌화가 진전하고 있어, 구미석유산업에 있어서 「제자리 찾기」가 서서히 선명화하고 있다.

Flow visualization is one of visualization techniques and it means a visual expression of vector data using 2D or 3D graphics. It aims for human to easily find and understand a special feature of the vector data. The Image Based Flow Visualization (IBFV) is one of the fastest technique in the dense integration based flow visualization techniques. In this paper, IBFV is accelerated and implemented using commodity GPU. Especially, mesh advection is accelerated at the vertex program.

As metropolitan areas are rapidly growing in both a lot of population and traffic volume, it causes traffic congestion. Generally, High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes may increase the efficiency of road usage. The main contribution in this paper is to provide the scientific attempt to measure the effectiveness with regard to HOV lanes adaptation using an Integration simulation tool in order to alleviate the traffic congestion in Olympic highway.

이 논문은 연속적인 비디오 영상에서 시간적인 정보를 최대한 이용하는 새로운 캡션검출과 인식알고리즘을 제안하였다. 누적된 차영상 정보로부터 비디오에서 캡션의 시공간적인 위치를 찾아내기 위하여 구문등록 기술을 이용하였다. 그리고 복잡한 배경 영상의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 새로운 다중 프레임 인티그레이션 방법을 이용하였다. 기존 논문과는 달리 빠른 속도의 수행을 위하여 복잡한 계산 과정을 포함하지 않는다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 다양한 뉴스 데이터 영상에서 적용되었고, 그 결과는 아주 정확하고 효과적이었다.
