A Basic Study on the Determination Method of Reconstruction and Remodeling of Deteriorated School Facilities - Focusing on the Case of S High School in Incheon Metropolitan City - (노후 학교시설의 개축 및 리모델링 타당성 판별 방법에 대한 기초연구 -인천광역시 S 고등학교 사례를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to prepare an objective project basis by reviewing the feasibility of reconstructing and remodeling Greensmart Future School project for S High School's main building, which was built more than 40 years ago, in Incheon Metropolitan City, and to apply and review an effective methodology for determining renovation and remodeling. To this end, the feasibility of reconstruction and remodeling was evaluated in the long term by synthesizing the results of quantitative evaluation through economic review and qualitative evaluation through educational functional review. As a result of the study, it was found that the reconstruction plan was advantageous throughout all alternatives in terms of economic costs, and the field survey indicated limitations in spatial functions to support students' various educational activities and applying new directions, especially the 2022 revised curriculum and high school credit system.

An Analysis and Improvements of Loans and User Satisfaction for Smart Libraries: A Case of A Library in Incheon (스마트도서관 이용 및 만족도 분석과 활성화 방안 - 인천광역시 A도서관의 스마트도서관 사례연구 -)

  • As the number of smart libraries is continuously increasing, activation measures are necessary to expand user engagement and enhance service quality. This study analyzed the usage patterns of four smart libraries in A Library in Incheon, from June 2020 to December 2023. It also conducted user satisfaction surveys and question-and-answer sessions with a librarian. The number of books and loans increased, and two smart libraries in areas without public libraries showed high usage rates. Although users were satisfied with the smart libraries, they pointed out inconveniences such as the limited number of loan books and insufficient books. Consequently, it is suggested to improve user-centered service quality, continuous monitoring and evaluation, as well as active promotion.

  • 인천경제자유구역 내의 중앙공원이 2009년 9월에 준공하여 일반시민들에게 개장되었다. 센트럴파크는 동고서저와 강으로 대변되는 한반도의 지형적 특색을 담고 있으며 동고서저는 구릉이 있는 산책로와 낮은 잔디밭으로, 강은 수로로, 다도해 남해는 인공 섬이 있는 수변 공간으로 연출돼 있으며 인공으로 조성된 수로에는 수상택시가 다니고 있다. 지하에는 2,700여대가 추자할 수 있는 주차장을 공원과 분리하여 조성하였고 수로주변에는 보행자 산책로, 자전거도로 등이 조정되고 추후 공원 내 박물관 및 생태관이 조성될 예정이다. 센트럴 파크는 인천광역시 송도동 24-5번지 일원에 위치하고 있으며 면적은$411,319m^2$, 사업기간은 2007. 2. 1 ~ 2009. 7. 31, 사업비는 1,900억원(공원 1,200억원, 주차장 700억원)정도이며 주요시설로는 해수 수로, 수상택시 및 무빙스테이지, 지하주차장, 조각원, 정형식 정원, 초지원, 보트하우스, 비지터센터 등이 있다.

  • The vacant houses commonly observed in urban aging are considered to be representative signs of urban decline. Vacant houses are themselves vulnerable to security, and in particular, they are exposed to disasters due to poor management, which can accelerate the decline of the area. This study is to classify the area and analyze the causes and characteristics of the occurrence of vacant houses by type based on the data through the survey on the vacant houses in Incheon. This research analyze vacant house data survey so to characterized and categorized types of vacant houses. The criteria of vacant houses analysis are population density, population growth, aging extent. In conclusion there are four types of region in Incheon area according to housing types, hazard classes, building age and building areas. Type A is inner city, type B is mixed, type C is expandable and type D is unsular types.

  • The block-unit housing renewal project was presented as an alternative method to overcome the side effects of large-scale renewal projects while improving poor residential conditions. However, projects implementation is prolonged and even the pace of projects, which was considered an various incentives, is being delayed for the most part. In this study, delay factors are drawn by eight; conflict among association members, contract delay of joint implementation, participation paucity of constructor, inadequate project guidelines, alteration of project plan, lack of renewal project professionals, stricter loan restriction of HUG, lack of capacity of project operator. We categorized those eight factors to three aspects such as implementation, participants and proposition and suggested improvement alternatives according to three aspects.

  • There is a Conjoint Analysis to estimate the environmental value of natural river restoration project of Inchon Metropolitan City's small River: Gong-chon Stream, Gul-po Stream, Seung-gi Stream, Jang-su Stream. In order to find out the optimal expense condition, we tried to estimate the possible payable amount. According to the analysis, almost all people are willing to pay 15,000 Won. In case of the river types, the people liked 10 cm's depth of water and there should be brook trail, convenient facilities and flood plain at the stream edge space. But it is impossible to build these facilities with minimum fare 15,000 Won per a household. If the necessary expenses set high, the tax resistance of the local residents will be increased. So, in consideration of the analytical results of the attribute level, we draw five alternatives. This study is based on the results of Incheon metropolitan City residents' survey, and there is Conjoint Analysis to estimate the environmental value of natural-type river project of Incheon metropolitan City. If it is reflected the special assume factors of this study, and if there is exact environmental value estimation of the various river quality through different analysis, then it will become a study of high utilizing.

A Study on the TOD Planning Elements Affecting the Number of Public Transportation Users - Focused on the Subway and Railway Station in Incheon - (대중교통 이용객수에 영향을 미치는 TOD 계획요소 분석에 관한 연구 - 인천시 주요 지하철·전철역을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzes the factors that influence the number of public transportation passengers. By comparing the major TOD planning elements such as mixed-use level, job-housing proximity level, comparison of the density and pure density in the 66-autonomous city townships through a comparison such as TOD plan element achievements and indicators are chosen. A model is derived by correlation analysis and regression analysis of the parameters. The result of the regression analysis of the station influence area (SIA) in Incheon, the parameters that effect the number of passengers of public transportation are the number of employees, population, number of bus stops in the SIA, and the distance between the bus stop and the subway entrance. Therefore, as the number of employees and the resident population increase, the volume of traffic increases. Also, the number of public transportation users increases when there are more bus stops and when the distance between the bus stop and the subway entrance is short. This study shows that subways and SIA has achieved many parts of the TOD in Incheon, because the SIA around 29 subways and 11 Seoul-Incheon trail stations already included important TOD planning elements.

  • The purpose of this study is to review and evaluate the proper planning for 2030 Incheon Urban Parks & Green Space Master Plan. Some of the plans are aimed at multiple small districts within the city's old town, as local governments are planned to be sub-subsidized by Incheon Metropolitan City. However, these plans have become simple plans for each district and therefore find it difficult to collect from the perspective of the using system of the residents who are directly used. First, the construction of the urban park and green space network requires the construction of a service using system that can be felt by the users. Second, the basic idea of each district planned as the detailed strategy of the master plan should be planned through consultation with nearby the district. Third, specific targets and directions for the urban park and green space plan through the urban development project are needed.
