고립된 노드가 없는 최대가중치 k-노드 부분그래프

  • 그래프가 주어져 있고 각 노드에 가중치가 주어져 있다고 가정하자. 두 노드가 에지로 연결되어 있는 경우에 두 노드는 인접한다고 정의한다. 주어진 그래프의 부분그래프 중에서 k개의 노드로 이루어지고 부분그래프의 각 노드별로 하나 이상의 인접하는 노드가 부분그래프에 존재하면 이러한 부분그래프를 고립된 노드가 없는 k-노드 부분그래프라고 부른다. 본 논문에서는 고립된 노드가 없는 k-노드 부분그래프 중에서 부분그래프에 포함된 노드들의 가중치의 합이 최대가 되는 부분그래프를 선택하는 문제를 다룬다. 이 문제는 CDMA를 기반으로 하는 멀티캐스트 네트워크 설계에 응용 예를 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대상문제의 복잡성을 규명하고, 상한과 하한을 구하는 해법을 개발한다.

Improving Embedding Model for Triple Knowledge Graph Using Neighborliness Vector (인접성 벡터를 이용한 트리플 지식 그래프의 임베딩 모델 개선)

  • The node embedding technique for learning graph representation plays an important role in obtaining good quality results in graph mining. Until now, representative node embedding techniques have been studied for homogeneous graphs, and thus it is difficult to learn knowledge graphs with unique meanings for each edge. To resolve this problem, the conventional Triple2Vec technique builds an embedding model by learning a triple graph having a node pair and an edge of the knowledge graph as one node. However, the Triple2 Vec embedding model has limitations in improving performance because it calculates the relationship between triple nodes as a simple measure. Therefore, this paper proposes a feature extraction technique based on a graph convolutional neural network to improve the Triple2Vec embedding model. The proposed method extracts the neighborliness vector of the triple graph and learns the relationship between neighboring nodes for each node in the triple graph. We proves that the embedding model applying the proposed method is superior to the existing Triple2Vec model through category classification experiments using DBLP, DBpedia, and IMDB datasets.

An Algorithm for One-to-One Mapping Matrix-star Graph into Transposition Graph (행렬-스타 그래프를 전위 그래프에 일-대-일 사상하는 알고리즘)

  • The matrix-star and the transposition graphs are considered as star graph variants that have various merits in graph theory such as node symmetry, fault tolerance, recursive scalability, etc. This paper describes an one-to-one mapping algorithm from a matrix-star graph to a transposition graph using adjacent properties in graph theory. The result show that a matrix-star graph $MS_{2,n}$ can be embedded in a transposition graph $T_{2n}$ with dilation n or less and average dilation 2 or less.

  • Let G = (V, E) be a simple undirected graph. The Minimum Vertex Cover (MVC) problem is to find a minimum subset C of V such that for every edge, at least one of its endpoints should be included in C. Like many other graph theoretic problems this problem is also known to be NP-hard. In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm called LeafGA for MVC problem and show the performance of the proposed algorithm by applying it to several published benchmark graphs.

Graph Topology Design for Generating Building Database and Implementation of Pattern Matching (건물 데이터베이스 구축을 위한 그래프 토폴로지 설계 및 패턴매칭 구현)

  • Research on developing algorithms for building modeling such as extracting outlines of the buildings and segmenting patches of the roofs using aerial images or LiDAR data are active. However, utilizing information from the building model is not well implemented yet. This study aims to propose a scheme for search identical or similar shape of buildings by utilizing graph topology pattern matching under the assumptions: (1) Buildings were modeled beforehand using imagery or LiDAR data, or (2) 3D building data from digital maps are available. Side walls, segmented roofs and footprints were represented as nodes, and relationships among the nodes were defined using graph topology. Topology graph database was generated and pattern matching was performed with buildings of various shapes. The results show that efficiency of the proposed method in terms of reliability of matching and database structure. In addition, flexibility in the search was achieved by altering conditions for the pattern matching. Furthermore, topology graph representation could be used as scale and rotation invariant shape descriptor.

Cycle Extendability of Torus Sub-Graphs in the Enhanced Pyramid Network (개선된 피라미드 네트워크에서 토러스 부그래프의 사이클 확장성)

  • The pyramid graph is well known in parallel processing as a interconnection network topology based on regular square mesh and tree architectures. The enhanced pyramid graph is an alternative architecture by exchanging mesh into the corresponding torus on the base for upgrading performance than the pyramid. In this paper, we adopt a strategy of classification into two disjoint groups of edges in regular square torus as a basic sub-graph constituting of each layer in the enhanced pyramid graph. Edge set in the torus graph is considered as two disjoint sub-sets called NPC(represents candidate edge for neighbor-parent) and SPC(represents candidate edge for shared-parent) whether the parents vertices adjacent to two end vertices of the corresponding edge have a relation of neighbor or sharing in the upper layer of the enhanced pyramid graph. In addition, we also introduce a notion of shrink graph to focus only on the NPC-edges by hiding SPC-edges within the shrunk super-vertex on the resulting shrink graph. In this paper, we analyze that the lower and upper bounds on the number of NPC-edges in a Hamiltonian cycle constructed on $2^n{\times}2^n$ torus is $2^{2n-2}$ and $3{\cdot}2^{2n-2}$ respectively. By expanding this result into the enhanced pyramid graph, we also prove that the maximum number of NPC-edges containable in a Hamiltonian cycle is $4^{n-1}$-2n+1 in the n-dimensional enhanced pyramid.

Web Site Evaluation Using Structure Analysis Agents (구조분석 에이전트를 사용한 웹사이트의 평가)

  • 인터넷이 보편화되면서 그에 따른 정보량도 급증하고 있다. 웹문서량이 많아짐에 따라 웹문서를 구조를 이용하여 저장, 분석하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹사이트를 사용자가 평가하기 위해 계층적인 웹문서들의 관계를 사이트맵으로 구성하며 웹문서 내의 계층구조를 추출, 저장하고 그래픽적으로 표시하였다. 이를 위해 웹문서 내의 계층구조를 위해 W3기관의 공용으로 사용되는 Tidy 라이브러리를 이용하여 URL에 대한 HTML 문서를 얻고 이를 XML로 변환하였다. 변환된 XML 결과로 이진트리를 구성하고 계층구조를 표현하였다. 웹문서들의 사이트맵은 그래프형식과 계층구조형식으로 표현했는데 그래프형식을 이용하여 사이트맵의 연결구조를 파악할 수 있게 하였으며, 계층구조를 이용하여 웹문서간의 계층구조에 따른 정보를 얻을 수 있었다. 사이트맵을 구성하기 위해 URL들의 구조를 인접리스트로 저장하였으며, 방향성 그래프형식을 이용하였다. 또한 웹문서 구조를 계층적으로 구성하기 위해 웹문서의 그래프형식에 대해 BFS(Breadth First Search)방식을 이용했다. 또한 계층적 사이트맵을 이용한 평가항목을 이용하여 증권사이트에 대해 실험하였다. 실험을 통해 본 시스템이 웹사이트 평가에 유용성함을 입증하였다.

A Distributed Vertex Rearrangement Algorithm for Compressing and Mining Big Graphs (대용량 그래프 압축과 마이닝을 위한 그래프 정점 재배치 분산 알고리즘)

  • How can we effectively compress big graphs composed of billions of edges? By concentrating non-zeros in the adjacency matrix through vertex rearrangement, we can compress big graphs more efficiently. Also, we can boost the performance of several graph mining algorithms such as PageRank. SlashBurn is a state-of-the-art vertex rearrangement method. It processes real-world graphs effectively by utilizing the power-law characteristic of the real-world networks. However, the original SlashBurn algorithm displays a noticeable slowdown for large-scale graphs, and cannot be used at all when graphs are too large to fit in a single machine since it is designed to run on a single machine. In this paper, we propose a distributed SlashBurn algorithm to overcome these limitations. Distributed SlashBurn processes big graphs much faster than the original SlashBurn algorithm does. In addition, it scales up well by performing the large-scale vertex rearrangement process in a distributed fashion. In our experiments using real-world big graphs, the proposed distributed SlashBurn algorithm was found to run more than 45 times faster than the single machine counterpart, and process graphs that are 16 times bigger compared to the original method.

Distribution characteristics of geothermal anomalies related with direction of faults and lineaments (지열분포와 단층 및 선구조 방향성과의 상호연관성)

  • 지열 분포에 관련된 지질구조의 특성을 파악하기 위하여 지온경사, 지열류량 자료와 인접한 선구조의 방향성에 대한 상관성 분석을 실시하였다. GIS를 이용하여 지열정보데이터베이스에서 발췌한 209개 지온경사 자료와 218개 지열류량 자료에 대하여 전국 광역단열도로부터 가장 인접한 선구조를 추출하고 10도 간격의 방향별 지온경사 및 지열류량 자료 빈도 및 평균값을 그래프에 도시하였다. 인접 선구조의 방향별 지온경사 평균은 $N30^{\circ}{\sim}40^{\circ}W$, $N10^{\circ}{\sim}20^{\circ}E$ 방향에서 $58.9^{\circ}C/km$, $54.9^{\circ}C/km$로 가장 높았고, 인접 선구조의 방향별 지열류량 평균은 $N80^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}W$, $N50^{\circ}{\sim}60^{\circ}W$ 방향에서 98.71 $mW/m^2$, $98.70mW/m^2$로 가장 높았다. 각 선구조 상의 좌표들을 이용하여 지열류량 분포도에서 지열류량 값을 추출한 결과 $N10^{\circ}W{\sim}N40^{\circ}E$, $N60^{\circ}{\sim}70^{\circ}W$, $N50^{\circ}{\sim}60^{\circ}E$ 방향의 지열류량 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 지온경사와 지열류량 자료에 대한 인접 선구조의 방향은 북북동, 북서, 서북서 방향이 우세한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 우리나라 조구조 운동과 관련한 단층, 절리 등의 단열구조의 우세 방향과 잘 일치하는 것으로 해석된다.

Visualizing Geographical Contexts in Social Networks

  • We propose a method for geographically enhanced representation of social networks and implement a Web-based 3D visualization of geographical contexts in social networks. A renovated social network graph is illustrated by using two key components: (i) GWCMs (geographically weighted centrality measures) that reflect the differences in interaction intensity and spatial proximity among nodes and (ii) MSNG (map-integrated social network graph) that incorporates the GWCMs and the geographically referenced arrangement of nodes on a choroplethic map. For the integrated 3D visualization of the renovated social network graph, we employ X3D (Extensible 3D), a standard 3D authoring tool for the Web. An experimental case study of regional R&D collaboration provides a visual clue to geographical contexts in social networks including how the social centralization relates to spatial centralization.
