Modified lignins were prepared. Soda and peroxy lignins were precipitated from black liquor produced from bagasse pulping with soda and peroxyacid pulping process. The precipitated lignins were hydrolyzed using 10% HCl. Different functional groups were also incorporated into lignin by carboxylation and phosphorylation reactions. Moreover crosslinking of these lignins were carried out using epichlorohydrin. Characterization of the modified lignins and lignins derivative were carried out using Infrared spectroscopy. Thermal analysis of these compounds were also carried out using TGA and DTA techniques. Efficiency of sorption of metal ions by the modified lignin was also investigated. It was found that, the peroxylignin and its derivatives show higher efficiency toward metal ions uptake than the soda lignin.

In order to reduce the availability of dissolved inorganic phosphorus in surface water, lakes, and estuaries, black shale and zero valent iron can be used as reacitve materials. Sorption of phosphate to sampled sediment, black shale, and zero valent iron was quantitatively evaluated in this research. Effect of coexistence of calcium was also tested, since coexisting ions can enhance the precipitation of phosphate. An empirical kinetic model with fast sorption(k$_t$), slow sorption(k$_s$), and precipitation(k$_p$) was well fitted to experiment data from this research. Langmuir and Freundlich sorption isotherms were also used to evaluated phosphate maximum sorption capacity. Calcium ions at 0, 1 and 5 mM affected the precipitation kinetic coefficient in empirical kinetic model but did not have impact on the maximum sorbed concentration.

Adsorption on goethite of individual component from a solution containing phosphate, sulfate, or copper ion was investigated. Competitive adsorption in the binary and ternary solution systems composed of phosphate, sulfate, and copper ions was also investigated. In competitive adsorption systems with phosphate and sulfate ions, the presence of phosphate ion reduced the adsorption of sulfate ion largely. On the other hand, the presence of sulfate ion caused only a small decrease in phosphate adsorption. This result suggests that phosphate ion is a stronger competitor for adsorption on goethite than sulfate ion, which is consistent with the higher affinity of phosphate for the surface compared to sulfate ion. Compared to the results from single-sorbate systems, adsorption of copper ion in the binary system of sulfate ion and copper ion was found to be enhanced in the presence of sulfate ion. Addition of sulfate ion to the binary system of copper ion and phosphate ion resulted in a small enhancement in copper sorption. This result implies that the presence of sulfate ion promotes adsorption of the ternary complex FeOHCuSO$_4$. The adsorption isotherms could be well described by the Langmuir adsorption equation.
1. Solubility diagram was used to estimate Chemical form of the Soil phosphates which supply phosphorus into soil solutions under submerged condition with soils originated from granite and basalt rocks. The granite origin soils with different amounts of available phosphorus have no effect of phosphate application on rice yield, while the basalt origin soil has the big effect. 2. Almost same pattern of change in pH and concentrations of phosphorus and cations in the soil solutions during the submerging period was. shown. Almost no difference in the values was recognized between NPK and NK treatments of the granite origin soils, but the difference of the basalt origin soil was recognized. 3. it was estimated from solubility diagram that phosphorus concentration in the soil solutions was governed by phosphate applied and variscite in the soils for the early stage of submerging period, and then it became to be governed by vivianite in the soils.
A total of 129 surface(upto 30 cm depth) soil samples were selected from the profile samples collected during reconnaissance soil survey in 1967, for the determination of phosphorus absorption co-efficient. The distribution range for each soil association has been established. The physicochemical factors affecting the phosphorus absorption coefficient have also been examined. The following general conclusions can be drown: 1. In general, the phosphorus absorption coefficient of the soil association of presently arable land are lower than the soils which are not in cultivation. 2. The higher the cation exchange capacity of soils, the higher is the phosphorus absorption coefficient. The factors governing phosphorus absorption coefficient in various soil associations are as follows: Parent Material Soil Association Governing Factor Fluvio marine Low Humic Gley Fluvio marine Alluvial Complex Narrow valley Siliceo mafic materials Red-yellow podzolic Redish Siliceo mafic materials Brown Lateritic Clay content Siliceous crystalline materials Lithosols C.E.C. & Clay content Alluvium Low Humic Alluvium Gley Alluvial Organic matter Siliceous crystalline materials Red-Yellow Podzolic Organic matter and clay content 4. The relation between phosphorus absorption coefficient determined by $(NH_4)_2HPO_4(y)$ and by the P 700 ppm $NaH_2PO_4(x)$ is $Y=2.716X+37(r=0.96^{**})$ which shows highly significant positive correlation and linear regression.
The monolayer characteristics of phosphate amphiphiles with azobenzene at air/water interface were studied by the measurment of $\pi-A$ curves and absorption spectra. Immediately after being spread on the water surface, these amphiphiles having strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions showed the typical absorption spectra which resulted from domain formation. But the aggregated domains could be controlled by changing the subphase conditions (adding bulky salt and rasing pH). Addition of metal ions in subphase changes the molecular orientation of monolayer. As the metal ion charge increases ($1\leq2$ < 3 < 4 valence), the absorption maximum (310nm) of the amphiphile with azobenzene shifts to a longer wavelength (350nm) which means that the orientation of the amphiphile is tilted. These results suggest that the molecular orientation, and furthermore the aggregation state of monolayer can be possibly controlled by the interaction of metal ions with different charge types.
Currently, lithium-ion batteries are mainly used in energy storage equipment products including automobiles. This can be exposed to dangerous situations such as explosions in the event of incorrect battery management conditions that are overcharged or left in high temperature conditions. It also causes a situation battery cannot be used when it has been over discharged. Therefore, a system that manages the state of the battery is required. The battery management system aims to obtain optimum battery efficiency by accurately recognizing the state of the battery and keeping the voltage of each cell constant. In this paper, we develop a lithium-iron phosphate battery that has higher safety than a general lithium-ion battery. Then, in order to manage this, we try to develop the algorithm of the BMS module based on the Bluetooth communication using the MATLAB-SIMULINK.
The effects of sodium pyrophosphate, sodium tripolyphosposphate and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid as a degumming aid reagent were investigated under the conditions of underground water and dimineralized water for the scouring water sources. The changes of water qualities by adding the condensed sodium phosphates and the physical properties of scoured silk fabric were examined, respectively. 1. The water hardness of underground water was decreased by adding the condensed sodium phosphates and it was further reduced according to the increasing temperature. The water hardness reducing power of sodium pyrophosphate was a little stronger than that of sodium tripolyphosphate. 2. The sodium silicate as an alkaline reagant for scouring decreased the water hardness, but the sodium carbonate increased it in the underground water. 3. The pH value of 0.4% soap and 0.25% sodium silicate mixed solution after boiling was. 9.80, but it was leveled upto 9.90 by adding 0.05% sodium pyrophosphate and upto 9.95 by 0.02% ehtylene diamine tetraacetic acid, respectively. 4. The masking action of Fe$\^$3+/ ions dissolved in the scouring water was more remarkable by ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid than by the condensed sodium phosphates. Of the condensations, sodium tripolyphosphate was more effective than sodium pyrophosphate in the action. 5. Genrally, the dimineralized water scouring increased the boil-off ratio with reducing the flexural rigidity of fabric which was negatively related with the favorablility of hand-touch more than the underground one did. 6. Under the underground water scouring, the addition of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid increased the boil-of ratio and compressive elasticity of fabric with reducing the flexural rigidity more than that of the condensed sodium phosphates did. 7 The additions of sodium tripolyphosphate and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid reduced the flexural rigidity of fabric with raising the boil-off ratio even in the dimineralized water scouring, but there was no sifnificant difference between both of them.
Objective of this research was to evaluate the fate of nitrogen and phosphorous in hydroponic waste solution from the plastic film house cultivation applied to the upland soil by column leaching and field experiment. The pH and EC of leachate were decreased by the reaction with the upland soil in the column leaching experiment. The EC and concentrations of $H^+,\;K^+,\;and\;{NH_4}^+$ of leachate were decreased as the column length (soil depth) was increased. But these were increased as the amounts of the hydroponic waste solution were increased field experiment growing red pepper (Capsicum annum L.) to monitor the nutrients movement using ion exchange resin capsule demonstrated that the nutrient concentration of soil solution was increased in the orders of $PO_4-P. Nitrate concentration of resin capsule inserted into the soil was relatively higher than other nutrients $(NH_4-N\;and\;PO_4-P)$ at the 45 cm of soil depth. The overall results demonstrated that the hydroponic waste solution could be recycled as plant nutrients to enhance fertility of soils. But nitrate leaching was a major factor for safe use of the hydroponic waste solution in soil.
