I think it is valuable to make Chinese ancient character 'Inscriptions on Bones and Tortoise Carapaces' hieroglyphics popular by combining with the digital. Because Chinese characters are ideograms, it has a huge visual effect. When it is thought over meanings with imaged data by using digital technology, it can be easier to conflate Chinese academia and humanities academia, moreover other academia that uses Chinese characters such as jurisprudence or business administration. I believe not only union of humanities and natural science in the global era can be the best example of the word 'consilience', which I mentioned before, but also people enjoy usability from educations, invention of learning contents or open learning to a cultural field by coming into wide use. Futhermore, it should contribute to changing the image of Chinese characteristics from existing difficult stereotype to positive image.

This paper attempts to analyze the changes of the contents in foreign area research carried out by Korean geographers, and discuss the task of the new regional geography in a global-local context. As compared with domestic area research, only a scant of foreign area research has been carried out. In the 1990's, the research interests are paid to how an open economy affects the regional economy, especialy the production technique, division of labor, industrial mix, market strategy, industrial location and organization, and so on. Unfortunately, however, the boundaries between economic geography and regional economy are gradully disappearing.

Enhancing individual competitiveness as well as national competitiveness by fostering creative human resources are one of the important visions of the nation. Thus, fostering creative human resources should be important mission of the nation. The purpose of this study is to identify what type of creative human resources is possible, based on Korean culture and background. Qualitative research experts was given to six experts of academics, institutes, and industries in science, humanities, social science, and art. The result indicated that key words for fostering creative human resources in Korea are 'fusion' and 'integration', and the definition and factors of creative human resources as well as educational strategy to foster it depend upon them. How to foster creative human resources in life-long learning also discussed.

The aim of this research is to change the self as ill being lacking need satisfaction to the self as wellbeing through the communication process. An anger among Korean middle-aged women is formed in a unique socio-cultural context, life, and hierarchical structure of the society where they belong to. Thus, anger for middle-aged woman can be cured when both the doctor and the patient are equipped with humanistic thinking and positions, and the angry self can be changed into the owner of subjective life. To achieve the research purposes, this study, used an anger treatment program for middle-aged women by convergence. Korean medicine and humanities uses Pilot test.

This paper is to classify subregions of Yeongnam region, to realize their core area, and to provide the basis on studying inherent cultural characteristics in Yeongnam region. To do so, I made a overlay human factors of administrative district and dialect with physical factors of drainage basin and climate area. The limit of subregion is the range of possessing environmental factors similar to provincial center. The parcels possessing a equivalent combination of environmental factors are 27, the size of parcel is various from one-city/county to six-city/county. These parcels are classified to six subregions(Andong, Sangju, Kyeongju, Daegu, Kimhae, Jinju). The boundary of subregion is high mountains and large river which are obstacle to communication between subregions, and in case of little obstacle exists transitional zone.

견우와 직녀의 사랑 이야기가 얽혀 있는 두 별은 여름철을 대표하는 별들로서 중국 문화권에서는 지난 수 천 년 동안 매우 인기가 높은 별이었다. 두 별은 중국의 춘추전국시대의 노래를 모아 놓은 시경(詩經)에 이미 등장하고 있고, 서기 408년에 조성된 고구려의 덕흥리 고분 속에 있는 벽화에도 그려져 있다. 고려시대에는 이 별들에 대한 국가적인 제사를 지냈으며, 조선 시대에는 칠월칠석에 국왕이 신하들과 어울려 잔치를 베풀고 칠석시(七夕詩)를 지어서 책으로 편찬하는 일도 있었다. 한편 견우성은 주로 농사와 관계된 별점을 가지고 있었고, 시각제도와 긴밀한 관계가 있는 28宿(수)의 하나였으므로 천문학자들이 지속적으로 관심을 갖고 관측한 별이다. 그러한 관측의 결과는 고려사, 조선왕조실록, 승정원일기 등에 다수가 남아 있다. 그런데 동양 천문학에서 이미 널리 다루어졌던 문제 가운데 하나는, 바로 이 문학적 견우성과 천문학적 견우성이 일치하지 않는다는 것이다. 지금 일반 시민들에게 견우성은 독수리자리의 알테어(Altair)로 알려져 있다. 그러나 모든 사서와 고대 천문서 및 천문도가 지칭하는 견우성은 염소자리의 다비(Dabih)라는 별이다. 견우성이 28宿(수)의 하나라는 사실은 그 별(별자리)이 황도와 백도 근처에 있어야 함을 의미한다. 따라서 알테어는 적위가 높아서 도저히 28宿(수)에 속할 수가 없다. 게다가 알테어는 은하수 속에 들어가 있으므로, 견우와 직녀가 은하수를 사이에 두고 마주보고 있다는 일반적인 설화와도 어긋난다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 현재 대다수의 서적과 매체, 그리고 일반인을 대상으로 한 행사와 천문관에서 상영되는 프로그램들에는 모두 알테어를 견우성으로 하여 설명하고 있다. 이러한 불일치는 상당한 혼란을 초래하고 있는 상황이다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 불일치가 천문학적인 견우성과 인문학적인 견우성의 불일치로 보고, 이 문제를 실증적으로 접근해 본다. 즉, 고려사, 조선왕조실록, 승정원일기에 실려 있는 견우성 엄폐 관측 기록을 조사하여 한국사에서 전문 천문학자들은 어느 별을 견우성이라고 보아왔는지 알아보고, 또한 일반인들이 지은 시문에는 어떤 별을 견우성으로 여겼는지 고찰한다. 아울러 역사적으로 이 문제에 대한 선인들의 생각을 짚어보고, 중국과 일본의 학자들은 이 문제를 어떻게 바라보고 있는지를 살핀 다음, 마지막으로 현실적으로 이 문제를 어떻게 해결할 수 있는지 고찰해 본다.

Recently, local government has adopted the film location as the strategies for regional development and has established local film commissions for facilitating the film location. The film locations in Gyeongbuk have been grown gradually since Taejo Wang Geon, TV series was filmed in KBS on-location set of Mungyeong, and the government of Gyeongbuk established the Geeongbuk film commission in 2006. However, the film locations in Gyeongbuk are confined to filming some products in Gyeongbuk, and there's few film-related firms in Gyeongbuk. Furthermore, the film industries in Gyeongbuk is consumption-led and the capability of film-related firms is still weak. Therefore, Gyoengbuk film commission should play the wide roles, making the film-friendly institutions, creating local atmosphere of collaboration, fostering film-induced tourism, and maturing local film culture, as well as the general roles of film commission, offering the film location services, database services and networking.

Game is the latest type of Gesamtkunstwerk encompassing humanistic and engineering creativity. Nevertheless, Korea's game industry faces a crisis. The purpose of this study is to consider positive emotion-inducing effects as a way to deal with it. Among others, storytelling of , one of the most representative MMORPG games in the world, was selected for the study on various positive emotion-inducing effects. In the story of , the view of the world, characters and incidents are vital to the game and the study is focused on their emotion-inducing effects among the users based on actual examples. As a result, it was confirmed that the positive emotion-inducing storytelling would provide a possibility to reduce negative sentiment towards games, address crisis Korea's game industry faces, and interact with gamers in a positive direction.

This paper suggests to bring the idea of social construction of nature or social nature discussed in social science including geography to geographical and environmental education for breaking traditional divide of people(or society) and nature. And this paper analyzed relationship between people and nature, meaning of environment and the concepts of social nature represented in the geography curriculum and textbook of England, Australia and Korea. Recently in terms of focusing disciplines or education on integration or convergence, introduction of social nature in teaching and learning geography and environment has an important implication. With rapid growth of capitalism, nature is constructed socially by the political, economical, social and cultural practice. Thus geography education reduces the distance between human geography and physical geography and needs to focus on exploring not just the relationship between people and nature but social construction of nature. Another implication of the introduction of social nature in teaching and learning geography and environment is that students can develop the relational sensitivity about the relationship people and nature or people and place.

The purpose of this study is to analyze library space use patterns through users' smartphone WiFi. This study is applied a method to detect WiFi signal of users' smartphone to analyze the in-library wayfinding of users. The library usage data were collected for four months in a library in Seoul, Korea. The results show that the average 37.9% of library users revisits the library the next month. Half of users stay under 7 minutes in the library. Users mainly visit the library between 2 and 3 o'clock, and few users visit the library after 5 pm on weekends. The floor moving pattern result shows that the co-visit rate between the third and fourth floor is higher than others, in that these two floors are mainly composed of book shelves. These results indicate that the method to detect the WiFi signal for spatial pattern analysis could be more effective than observation which was used in previous research. It, therefore, is expected that this method would be applied in other libraries to analyze and enhance the library space usage.
