Time series of the dynamic response of a slender marine structure was predicted using quadratic Volterra series. The wave-structure interaction system was identified using the NARX(Nonlinear Autoregressive with Exogenous Input) technique, and the network parameters were determined through the supervised training with the prepared datasets. The dataset used for the network training was obtained by carrying out the nonlinear finite element analysis on the freely standing riser under random ocean waves of white noise. The nonlinearities involved in the analysis were both large deformation of the structure under consideration and the quadratic term of relative velocity between the water particle and structure in Morison formula. The linear and quadratic frequency response functions of the given system were extracted using the multi-tone harmonic probing method and the time series of response of the structure was predicted using the quadratic Volterra series. In order to check the applicability of the method, the response of structure under the realistic ocean wave environment with given significant wave height and modal period was predicted and compared with the nonlinear time domain simulation results. It turned out that the predicted time series of the response of structure with quadratic Volterra series successfully captures the slowly varying response with reasonably good accuracy. It is expected that the method can be used in predicting the response of the slender offshore structure exposed to the Morison type load without relying on the computationally expensive time domain analysis, especially for the screening purpose.
The main problem in speech recognition is the enormous variability in acoustic signals due to complex but predictable contextual effects. Especially in plosive consonants it is very difficult to find invariant cue due to various contextual effects, but humans use these contextual effects as helpful information in plosive consonant recognition. In this paper we experimented on three artificial neural net models for the recognition of plosive consonants. Neural Net Model I used "Multi-layer Perceptron ". Model II used a variation of the "Self-organizing Feature Map Model". And Model III used "Interactive and Competitive Model" to experiment contextual effects. The recognition experiment was performed on 9 Korean plosive consonants. We used VCV speech chains for the experiment on contextual effects. The speech chain consists of Korean plosive consonants /g, d, b, K, T, P, k, t, p/ (/ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ/) and eight Korean monothongs. The inputs to Neural Net Models were several temporal cues - duration of the silence, transition and vot -, and the extent of the VC formant transitions to the presence of voicing energy during closure, burst intensity, presence of asperation, amount of low frequency energy present at voicing onset, and CV formant transition extent from the acoustic signals. Model I showed about 55 - 67 %, Model II showed about 60%, and Model III showed about 67% recognition rate.

This paper proposes a lane recognition CNN network using split-attention network as a backbone to extract feature. Split-attention is a method of assigning weight to each channel of a feature map in the CNN feature extraction process; it can reliably extract the features of an image during the rapidly changing driving environment of a vehicle. The proposed deep neural networks in this paper were trained and evaluated using the Tusimple data set. The change in performance according to the number of layers of the backbone network was compared and analyzed. A result comparable to the latest research was obtained with an accuracy of up to 96.26, and FN showed the best result. Therefore, even in the driving environment of an actual vehicle, stable lane recognition is possible without misrecognition using the model proposed in this study.

Recently, the advanced condition monitoring methods such as the model-based method and the artificial intelligent method have been applied to maximize the availability as well as to minimize the maintenance cost of the aircraft gas turbines. Among them the non-linear GPA(Gas Path Analysis) method and the GA(Genetic Algorithms) have lots of advantages to diagnose the engines compared to other advanced condition monitoring methods such as the linear GPA, fuzzy logic and neural networks. Therefore this work applies both the non-linear GPA and the GA to diagnose AE3007 turbofan engine for an aircraft, and in case of having sensor noise and bias it is confirmed that the GA is better than the GPA through the comparison of two methods.

For the diagnosis of cancer-related diseases in clinical practice, pathological examination using biopsy is essential after basic diagnosis using imaging equipment. In order to proceed with such a biopsy, the assistance of an oncologist, clinical pathologist, etc. with specialized knowledge and the minimum required time are essential for confirmation. In recent years, research related to the establishment of a system capable of automatic classification of cancer cells using artificial intelligence is being actively conducted. However, previous studies show limitations in the type and accuracy of cells based on a limited algorithm. In this study, we propose a method to identify a total of 4 cancer cells through a convolutional neural network, a kind of deep learning. The optical images obtained through cell culture were learned through EfficientNet after performing pre-processing such as identification of the location of cells and image segmentation using OpenCV. The model used various hyper parameters based on EfficientNet, and trained InceptionV3 to compare and analyze the performance. As a result, cells were classified with a high accuracy of 96.8%, and this analysis method is expected to be helpful in confirming cancer.

This paper proposes a CanSat system with a vehicle tracking function based on Jetson Nano, a high-performance small computer capable of operating artificial intelligence algorithms. The CanSat system consists of a CanSat and a ground station. The CanSat falls in the atmosphere and transmits the data obtained through the installed sensors to the ground station using wireless communication. The existing CanSat is limited to the mission of simply transmitting the collected information to the ground station, and there is a limit to efficiently performing the mission due to the limited fall time and bandwidth limitation of wireless communication. The Jetson Nano based CanSat proposed in this paper uses a pre-trained neural network model to detect the location of a vehicle in each image taken from the air in real time, and then uses a 2-axis motor to move the camera to track the vehicle.

AI technology has developed in the form of decision support technology in law, patent, finance and national defense and is applied to disease diagnosis and legal judgment. To search real-time information with Deep Learning, Big data Analysis and Deep Learning Algorithm are required. In this paper, we try to predict the entrance rate to high-ranking universities using a Deep Learning model, RNN(Recurrent Neural Network). First, we analyzed the current status of private academies in administrative districts and the number of students by age in administrative districts, and established a socially accepted hypothesis that students residing in areas with a high educational fever have a high rate of enrollment in high-ranking universities. This is to verify based on the data analyzed using the predicted hypothesis and the government's public data. The predictive model uses data from 2015 to 2017 to learn to predict the top enrollment rate, and the trained model predicts the top enrollment rate in 2018. A prediction experiment was performed using RNN, a Deep Learning model, for the high-ranking enrollment rate in the special education zone. In this paper, we define the correlation between the high-ranking enrollment rate by analyzing the household income and the participation rate of private education about the current status of private institutes in regions with high education fever and the effect on the number of students by age.
The acute toxicity in the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was analyzed and predicted using quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR). The aquatic toxicity, 96h $LC_{50}$ (median lethal concentration) of 275 organic pesticides, was obtained from EU-funded project DEMETRA. Prediction models were derived from 558 2D molecular descriptors, calculated in PreADMET. The linear (multiple linear regression) and nonlinear (support vector machine and artificial neural network) learning methods were optimized by taking into account the statistical parameters between the experimental and predicted p$LC_{50}$. After preprocessing, population based forward selection were used to select the best subsets of descriptors in the learning methods including 5-fold cross-validation procedure. The support vector machine model was used as the best model ($R^2_{CV}$=0.677, RMSECV=0.887, MSECV=0.674) and also correctly classified 87% for the training set according to EU regulation criteria. The MLR model could describe the structural characteristics of toxic chemicals and interaction with lipid membrane of fish. All the developed models were validated by 5 fold cross-validation and Y-scrambling test.
A distillation column, which is a main facility of the chemical process, separates the desired product from a mixture by using the difference of boiling points. The distillation process requires the optimization and the prediction of operation because it consumes much energy. The target process of this study is difficult to operate efficiently because the composition of feed flow is not steady according to the supplier. To deal with this problem, we could develop a data-driven model to predict operating conditions. However, data preprocessing is essential to improve the predictive performance of the model because the raw data contains outlier and noise. In this study, after optimizing the predictive model based long-short term memory (LSTM) and Random forest (RF), we used a low-pass filter and one-class support vector machine for data preprocessing and compared predictive performance according to the method and range of the preprocessing. The performance of the predictive model and the effect of the preprocessing is compared by using R2 and RMSE. In the case of LSTM, R2 increased from 0.791 to 0.977 by 23.5%, and RMSE decreased from 0.132 to 0.029 by 78.0%. In the case of RF, R2 increased from 0.767 to 0.938 by 22.3%, and RMSE decreased from 0.140 to 0.050 by 64.3%.
