  • 인천 남동공단에서 약 9Km 떨어진 해상에 준설, 매립하여 조성된 3만평의 인공섬에 위치한 인천 LPG 수입기지 현장은 인천광역시와 수도권 지역에 민수용 LPG의 안정적인 공급을 하기 위하여 건설되는 LPG저장용 지하동굴 공사 현장이다. 저장 용량은 Propane가스 17만톤($34만5천\textrm{mm}^3$), Butane가스 7만톤($12만5천\textrm{mm}^3$) 이다. 지하저장시설은 대용량의 액화가스를 주변환경을 해치지 않으면서 화재나 전쟁, 지진등 재해로부터 안전하게 보호 하는데 가장 경제적이고 효율적이며, 운전 및 유지 보수 비용이 적게 드는데다 국토의 효율적인 활용과 공사비가 저렴하다는 장점을 갖고 있다.(중략)

의료용재료의 최근 개발현황

  • The intelligent trajectory control method that controls moving direction and average velocity for a prosthetic arm is proposed by pattern recognition and force estimations using EMG signals. Also, we propose the real time trajectory planning method which generates continuous accelleration paths using 3 stage linear filters to minimize the impact to human body induced by arm motions and to reduce the muscle fatigue. We use combination of MLP and fuzzy filter for pattern recognition to estimate the direction of a muscle and Hogan`s method for the force estimation. EMG signals are acquired by using a amputation simulator and 2 dimensional joystick motion. The simulation results of proposed prosthetic arm control system using the EMf signals show that the arm is effectively followed the desired trajectory depended on estimated force and direction of muscle movements.

  • 본 논문은 1995년 일본 남부 효고켄 남부 지진 (코베 대지진)에 의해 코베시에 위치하는 인공섬인 포트 아일랜등서 발생한 액상화 현상을 해석적 기법을 동원하여 액상화 현상의 저감 효과 혹은 방지를 위하여 실시되어져 오고 있는 여러 공법들의 타당성을 수치해석적인 입장에서 검증한 것이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 코베시에 의해 획득되어진 연직 방향의 지진 기록에 의해 포트 아일랜드 시공 당시 구역별로 다른 지반 개량 공법을 실시했고, 혹은 실시하지 않는 구역에 대해서 1차원 및 2차원 전응력 그리고 유효 응력 해석 기법을 동원하여 일련의 해석을 실시하였고 그 결과를 다각적인 방향에서 제시하였다.

  • 근래 지구촌의 산업화가 가속됨에 따라 대지의 활용도가 급속하게 증가하고 있으며 아울러 인구의 증가 및 개개인 삶의 공간적 범주가 점점 확대되면서 지구상에 광범위하게 분포되어 있는 연약지반으로의 관심이 집중되고 있는 실정이다. 최근 국내에서도 고속철도, 인천국제공항, 도심지 지하철 및 서ㆍ남해안 항만공사 등 대규모 국가건설공사가 진행 중에 있으며 더더욱 임해시설의 확충이라든지 인공섬 등의 건설이 활발해지면서 연약지반에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 하지만 연약지반의 특성을 경시한 나머지 터널의 붕락, 주변지반 및 인접건물의 부등침하, 측방유동에 의한 구조물변위 등 대형 안전사고가 빈발하게 발생되어 왔다. 이러한 안전사고의 대책으로서 지반보강을 위한 여러 가지 신공법이 개발되었고, 새로운 터널보조공법이 국내 지하철건설현장에서 널리 쓰여지고 있으며 이러한 공법 등을 통한 성과도 적지 않게 보고되고 있다.(중략)

  • 인천경제자유구역 내의 중앙공원이 2009년 9월에 준공하여 일반시민들에게 개장되었다. 센트럴파크는 동고서저와 강으로 대변되는 한반도의 지형적 특색을 담고 있으며 동고서저는 구릉이 있는 산책로와 낮은 잔디밭으로, 강은 수로로, 다도해 남해는 인공 섬이 있는 수변 공간으로 연출돼 있으며 인공으로 조성된 수로에는 수상택시가 다니고 있다. 지하에는 2,700여대가 추자할 수 있는 주차장을 공원과 분리하여 조성하였고 수로주변에는 보행자 산책로, 자전거도로 등이 조정되고 추후 공원 내 박물관 및 생태관이 조성될 예정이다. 센트럴 파크는 인천광역시 송도동 24-5번지 일원에 위치하고 있으며 면적은$411,319m^2$, 사업기간은 2007. 2. 1 ~ 2009. 7. 31, 사업비는 1,900억원(공원 1,200억원, 주차장 700억원)정도이며 주요시설로는 해수 수로, 수상택시 및 무빙스테이지, 지하주차장, 조각원, 정형식 정원, 초지원, 보트하우스, 비지터센터 등이 있다.

Water Quality Improvement by Artificial Floating Island (인공섬을 이용한 소형 저수지의 수질 개선)

  • For improvement of water quality, $20m^2$ of artificial floating plant islands planted with Iris pseudoacorus, were installed in small pond on March, 1999. Small pond has surface area $1,000m^2$ and mean depth 1.5 m. The density of plants was 16 per $m^2$ by using jute pot. Environmental parameters such as COD, SS, T-N, T-P and planktons were biweekly measured from 29 March to 28 September. Because of the small portion of floating island, the effect for water quality improvement was not sufficient. But considering the data of plant growth and nitrogen and phosphorus uptake capacity of plant, about 40% of coverage by artificial floating island was needed for elimination of whole nutrients from inflow.

ARTIFICIAL ISLANDS RECENTLY CONSTRUCTED IN OSAKA BAY. JAPAN (최근 일본 오사카만에 건설된 세개의 인공섬)

  • An attempt has been made to summarize some of the unique geotechnical problems encountered during construction of a few large man-made islands recently completed off the coast of Osaka Bay, Japan. Large settlements appear to be the most serious problem both during and after construction. Settlements due to consolidation of a thick layer of soft alluvial clay that constitutes seabed seem to virtually cease within a relatively short period of time when vertical drains are installed adequately prior to fill placement. Settlements due to compression of underlying thick diluvial deposits consisting of layers of stiff clays interbedded with coarse-grained soils, however, continue over a prolonged period of time and call for special provisions for structures built on the artificial islands to cope with relatively large future settlements. Although accurate settlement prediction is not possible, it is both technically and economically feasible, nevertheless, to construct large-scale islands. Partjcularly attractive and promising is creation of sizable new areas for various purposes, immediately adjacent to highly-developed, densely-populated cities situated along the coast such as those around Osaka Bay.

A Study on the Original Landscape for the Restoration and Maintenance of Buyongjeong and Juhamnu Areas in Changdeokgung Palace (창덕궁 부용정과 주합루 권역의 복원정비를 위한 원형 경관 고찰)

  • This study was conducted to newly examine the original landscape of Buyongjeong(芙蓉亭) and Juhamnu(宙合樓) areas in Changdeokgung Palace(昌德宮), focusing on the modern period including the Korean Empire, and to derive useful research results for restoration and maintenance in the future. The study results can be summarized as follows. First, the artificial island in Buyongji(芙蓉池) was originally made up of a straight layer using well-trimmed processed stone. However, during the maintenance work in the 1960s and 1970s, the artificial island in Buyongji was transformed into a mixture of natural and processed stones. The handrail installed on the upper part of the artificial island in Buyongji is a unique facility that is hard to find similar cases. The handrail existed even during the Korean Empire, but was completely destroyed during the Japanese colonial period. Second, Chwibyeong(翠屛), which is currently located on the left and right of Eosumun(魚水門), is the result of a reproduction based on Northern bamboo in 2008. Although there is a view that sees the plant material of Eosumun Chwibyeong as Rigid-branch yew, the specific species is still vague. Looking at the related data and circumstances from various angles, at least in the modern era, it is highly probable that the Eosumun Chwibyeong was made of Chinese juniper like Donggwanwangmyo Shrine(東關王廟) and Guncheongung(乾淸宮) in Gyeongbokgung Palace(景福宮). Third, the backyard of Juhamnu was a space with no dense trees on top of a stone staircase-shaped structure. The stone stairway in the backyard of Juhamnu was maintained in a relatively open form, and it also functioned as a space to pass through the surrounding buildings. However, as large-scale planting work was carried out in the late 1980s, the backyard of Juhamnu was maintained in the same shape as a Terraced Flower Bed, and it was transformed into a closed space where many flowering plants were planted. Fourth, Yeonghwadang Namhaenggak(暎花堂 南行閣), which had a library function like Gyujanggak(奎章閣) and Gaeyuwa(皆有窩), was destroyed in the late 1900s and was difficult to understand in its original form. Based on modern photographs and sketch materials, this study confirmed the arrangement axis of Yeonghwadang Namhaenggak, and confirmed the shape and design features of the building. In addition, an estimated restoration map referring to 「Donggwoldo(東闕圖)」 and 「Donggwoldohyung(東闕圓形)」 was presented for the construction of basic data.

Geotechnical Evaluation on the Application of Reactive Vertical Drainage Method (반응성연직배수공법의 적용에 대한 지반공학적 평가)

  • Recently, our ocean development paradigm is changing so that the development focus has been moved from the port facility developments to creating useful marine space. This paradigm accords well with the current green technology and helps the growth of service industries and the development from this paradigm can become a national land mark. Accordingly, the concept of creating marine waste landfill by the development of resource recycling technology has been introduced for eco-friendly space as an artificial island in future. Therefore, this study introduces the reactive vertical drainage method that is to pursue the purification of pollutants as well as stabilization of newly deposited soils in marine environments. To install the reactive vertical drainage piles for more effective feasibility and constructability, placements of drainage mid-layer are considered in the geotechnical viewpoint. Consolidation characteristics were evaluated by standard consolidation tests after several types of model test. As s result, the application of mid-layer drainage is strongly recommended in the reactive vertical drainage to quickly stabilize newly deposited soils. And vacuum consolidation method has better consolidation characteristic than vertical loading method in terms of the settlements predicted by additional stress for further use as an artificial island.

A study on the air leakage performance improvement of duct coupling for temporary ventilation of long subsea tunnel (초장대 해저터널의 공사중 덕트 접속부의 누풍 성능 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The construction of long sub-sea tunnel does not provide the favorable condition for the installation of ventilation system to be used during construction due to the constrained construction space. For the ventilation system required during construction, the artificial island where ventilation shaft is located is constructed at some location along the sub-sea tunnel route, which requires a high construction cost. Therefore, it is intended, as much as possible technically, to minimize the construction of artificial island. However, this requires a longer distance between ventilation shafts, there-by causing increased air leakage at the ventilation duct connection points due to the higher fan pressure being required to deliver ventilation air. Previously the air leakage was studied as an important issue. In this study experiments were carried out to develop the improved duct connection method considering various conditions such as, tunnel length, etc. Additionally, its performance results with leakage rates are shown and compared to the "S" class leakage rate of SIA. As a result, the new duct coupling type of improved method is analyzed as applicable to such a 30 km long tunnel with the leakage rate of $1.46mm^2/m^2$, which is better performance than SIA leakage rates.
