  • In this study, unlike high flowing concrete, using glass bubble to develop self-compacting concrete(hereinafter referred to as "SCC") with excellent filler performance by evaluating both flowability and yield stress, viscosity An experiment was conducted. Experimental results show that when 1 kg of glass bubbles are used, it is effective in stabilizing the physical properties of concrete, reducing the yield stress and viscosity.

  • The development of LCD Simulation program has been targeted to the design and estimation of LCD in an efficient, reasonable and proper method. In developing this program, we have got the theoretical construction for analysis of LCD. Moreover, we've applied CAE to the field of LCD, and thus we could help finding the optimal condition of LCD design or new type of LCD. This software can be applied for the modes such as TN, mono-STN, B/W STN(DSTN, FSTN), color STN, TFT, reflective modes and the program can be developed for other modes.

  • This work was carried out to investigate the welding behavior of thin A3003 Al alloy sheets by Nd : YAG laser beam. Considering bead shape and mechanical properties, the laser pulse shapes selected were two kinds of 2-division and 3-division by varying power level and pulse duration. In order to obtain optimum conditions, the factorial design method and central composite design method were applied. Tensile test, optical microscopy, micro hardness test and TEM analysis were performed. Due to the annealing caused by thermal effect during laser welding, precipitates were coarsended. The HAZ was softened and failed during tensile test. The hardness of HAZ was lower than that of base metal, since the heat input relieved the work hardening effect and caused grain growth.

  • Ni-SiC nano composite coatings were fabricated using electrodeposition technique with the aid of ultrasound. The properties of the nano composite were investigated by using SEM, XRD, Wear test and Vicker's microhardness test. The results demonstrated that the microhardness of composite coatings under ultrasonic condition was improved significantly as compared to conventional electrodeposition techniques without ultrasound. The nano particles were found to be distributed homogeneously with reduced agglomeration. The synergistic combination of superior wear resistance and improved microhardness was found in ultrasonicated conditions to the Ni-SiC nano composite coatings.

  • The exhaust systems are usually subjected to vibration or shock at high temperatures. The high temperature fatigue tests of the exhaust systems are rarely performed in domestic industries due to limited number of test facility and high test costs. In this paper, the high temperature fatigue test of some part of the exhaust system, not the whole system, is carried out. The resonator located at the central range is heated in the cylindrical electric furnace and the alternating load is applied on the end of the pipe welded to the resonator. The high temperature fatigue strength of the welded joint is obtained. The location of the fatigue crack is different to that in room temperature.

반도체 및 평판 디스플레이 산업에서의 진공 챔버 건식 세정을 위한 원격 플라즈마 생성 장치

  • 반도체에 대한 수요가 늘어남에 따라 반도체 칩 생산을 위한 웨이퍼 공정 및 평판 디스플레이 제조 공정에서 수백~수십 나노 단위 크기의 트랜지스터, 커패시터 등의 회로소자 제조를 요구하고 있다. 이에 따라 반도체 공정의 미세화가 10nm 이하까지 다다랐고 이로 인해 수율과 신뢰성 측면에서 파티클, 금속입자, 잔류이온 등 진공챔버 내부의 오염원 제거 중요성이 점점 증가하고 있다. 이러한 오염원 제거를 위해서 과거에는 진공 챔버를 개방하여 액상물질로 주기적인 세정을 하였으나 2000년대 초반부터 생산성 향상을 위해 진공 상태에서 건식 세정하는 원격 플라즈마 발생장치(Remote Plasma Generator, RPG)를 개발하여 공정에 적용 해 왔다. 건식 세정을 위해서 화학적 반응성이 높은 고밀도의 라디칼이 필요하고 이를 위해 플라즈마를 이용하여 라디칼을 생성한다. RPG는 안테나 형태의 기존 유도 결합 플라즈마 (Inductively Coupled Plasma, ICP) 방식에 자성코어(Ferrite Core)를 추가함으로써 고밀도 플라즈마 생성이 가능하다. 본 세션에서는 이러한 건식세정과 관련된 플라즈마 기술 소개, 플라즈마 발생장치의 종류 및 효과적인 건식 세정을 위한 원격 플라즈마 발생장치를 소개하고자 한다.
