The behavior of fatigue delamination in a GLARE(Glass Fiber Reinforced Metal Laminates) under fatigue loading conditions investigated. The behavior of fatigue delamination was examined basing on investigation of the crack and delamination using a SAM (Scanning Acoustic Microscope). The crack and delamination behavior on the relationship among a-N, SAM images and crack length-delamination length were considered. The test results indicated the features of different fatigue delamination and crack growth according to each fiber orientation angle and also obtained to more increase delamination than crack through the relationship between crack length and delamination length in GLARE.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the visual performance by contrast sensitivity (CS) and disability glare (DG) in low astigmatic eyes corrected with toric soft lenses and other optical corrections. Methods: Twenty university students with myopia (-1.00 to -6.50D Sph. with astigmatism up to 1.50 cyl) were enrolled and corrected by five different methods: 1) soft toric lenses; 2) spherical soft contact lenses; 3) RGP lenses; 4) best spectacle corrected visual acuity; 5) spherical equivalent spectacles. All subjects had corrected vision acuity of 20/20 or better. Contrast sensitivity and disability glare were measured using the OPTEC 6500 contrast sensitivity view-in tester included the EyeView Functional Vision Analysis software at photopic or mesopic conditions with glare. Results: At photopic condition, best corrected spectacle wearers had the highest monocular contrast sensitivity at all spatial frequency followed by soft toric lenses, RGP lenses, spherical equivalent spectacles, and spherical soft contact lenses. However, all of them were in normal contrast sensitivity value at photopic condition. At mesopic condition with glare, toric soft lenses were the highest and followed by RGP lenses, spherical equivalent spectacles, best spectacle corrected visual acuity and spherical soft contact lenses. It was observed that spherical soft contact lens wearers demonstrated lower range than normal contrast sensitivity value at mesopic condition with glare. Conclusion: Toric soft lenses gave better visual performance than spherical soft lenses in low astigmatic eyes. Subjects requiring the use of contact lenses under mesophic conditions could benefit from toric soft lenses.
Purpose : This study investigated the visual functions of drivers aged over 65 year olds and drivers aged 50~65 year olds. In addition, difference of visual functions between professional drivers and normal drivers were investigated. Methods : Forty Driver aged over 65 year olds and 67 drivers aged less than 67 year olds were participated. All participants had more than 5 years of driving experiences and had no ocular pathology. Demographic data(gender, job, age, body condition) and visual functions such as contrast sensitivity(CS), stereopsis, glare recovery time and discomfort glare index were measured. Results : Constrast sensivity under photopic condition was higher with bus driver group. In addition, difference of CS at 12cpd and 18cpd were signifcantly different between normal drivers(1.57) and bus drivers(1.70) (p<0.05). There was no significant difference for glare recovery time, despite of trend of longer recovery time with age. Discomfort glare index was significantly different that normal drivers with more than 65 year olds had 3, taxi and truck driver presented almost 5 index score (p<0.05). Conclusion : Analysis of visual function of elderly drivers, it was confirmed that their visual functions decreased with age. Therefore, visual function tests such as CS, discomfort glare index and stereopsis in addition to current available test may need to be considered for drivers aged over 65.

Glare phenomenon by sun's altitude and strong sunlight make a much visual handicap. And so, it reaches to unreadable situation although enough illumination in the fore site student of a window site and passage site. In school student seat arrange in the order of their height. So, cause the eyesight acuity according to distance is different, eyesight of backseat's student drop 1.0 and less in spite of 1.0, a learning effect reduces rather then that of the fore site student for site and Passage sitestudents. Therefore. in school, the conclusion's alteration of school structure, position's alteration and material quality's improvement of blackboard are needed, should be local lighting in blackboard. Therefore, we think that in other in improve the effect of lesson by the student, the student seats are not given by uniform disposition in the order of their height but change by a specified period.
The concrete median barriers are the most popular safety appurtenance that can be installed on narrow medians and are effective in keeping uncontrolled vehicles from crossing into opposing lanes of traffic. It is necessary to install and maintain median barriers because it is very difficult to reserve enough room required for medians in KOREA. Also, concrete median barriers are accepted as the actual alternatives for median barriers, mostly because they require almost no maintenance even after serious collisions. Typical concrete median barriers are 810mm high and have 596mm high glare screens on top of them. However we have experienced a number of "climb" and "roll-over" accidents of heavy vehicles and most of all, there have been some serious accidents caused by the part of broken glare screens. So the improvement study of concrete median barriers started. Prior to this study, a new type of concrete median barrier was suggested which is 1,270mm high and has no glare screens on top of it. So it was required to compare the properties of various types of concrete median barriers including the new type to find the optimal type of concrete median barrier. In this study, we have evaluated the characteristics of four types of concrete median barriers (New Jersey type, F type, constant slope type, and wall type). We have performed many computer simulations for the evaluation of the crashworthiness of them, and through the simulations we have tried to find a proper type of concrete median barrier. Through the computer simulations, we evaluated the structural stability and safety of the four types of concrete median barriers. We confirmed the structural stability and safety of them But in regard to the probability of "roll-over" of heavy vehicles, the higher concrete median barriers showed better performances than the lower. As the result of this study a new type of concrete median barrier was recommended.

Tunnel lighting in Korea has the problems of unsatisfactory illuminance uniformity which obstructs driver's vision, a flicker phenomenon on wall of tunnel, a heavy glare, low efficiency of luminaires, low utilization factor, and high energy consumption. We developed a high efficiency luminaire reflector for tunnel lighting which removes these problems. Developed luminaire saves energy and improves lighting environment by increasing 10% of luminaire efficiency. It can reduce installation cost by decreasing the number of luminaires, while average illuminance of 200[lx], overall uniformity of 0.4, longitudinal uniformity of 0.7, and electric power consumptions per unit area of 3.7[W/m$^2$] are accomplished.

Due to mismatch of thermal expansion coefficients between aluminum sheet and glass/epoxy sheet, thermal residual stresses generally appear in the FML. These stresses will affect the yield and fatigue strength of the FML. The numerically determined residual stresses in the Fiber-Metal-Laminates(FML) have been compared to the residual stresses measured from the curvature and tensile test methods. These two experimental methods have been developed for assessing the influence of residual stress in FML. Post-stretching process has been applied to remove the thermal residual stress and reverse the stress distribution. After post-stretching process, the residual stress has been measured from experiments. The results obtained show that analytical and experimental data are well agreed. The thermal residual stress can be removed by post-stretching process and it will increase the yield strength of FML.
In this paper, we propose the development of high-sensitivity low-end radiation measuring sensor module. The proposed measurement sensor module is a scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design, amplification and filter and control circuit design for sensor driver, control circuit design including short-distance communication, sensor mechanism design and manufacturing, and GUI development applied to prototypes consists of, etc. The scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design is designed by checking the characteristics of the scintillator and the photomultiplier (SiPM) for the sensor structure design. Amplification, filter and control circuit design for sensor driver is designed to process fine scintillation signal generated by radiation with a scintillator using SiPM. Control circuit design including short-distance communication is designed to enable data transmission through MCU design to support short-range wireless communication function and wired communication support. The sensor mechanism design and manufacture is designed so that the glare generated by wrapping a reflective paper (mirroring) on the outside of the plastic scintillator is reflected to increase the efficiency in order to transmit the fine scintillation signal generated from the plastic scintillator to the photomultiplier(SiPM). The GUI development applied to the prototype expresses the date and time at the top according to each screen and allows the measurement unit and time, seconds, alarm level, communication status, battery capacity, etc. to be expressed. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, the results of experiments conducted by an authorized testing institute showed that the radiation dose measurement range was 30 𝜇Sv/h ~ 10 mSv/h, so the results are the same as the highest level among products sold commercially at domestic and foreign. In addition, it was confirmed that the measurement uncertainty of ±7.4% was measured, and normal operation was performed under the international standard ±15%.
