Applying the Theory of Planned Behavior to Understand Milk Consumption among WIC Preagnant Women (저소득층 임신부들의 우유 소비 행동을 이해하기 위한예측이론(Theory of Planned Behavior)의 적용)

  • Despite the importance of prenatal nutrition, many studies find inadequate calcium intake among pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to investigate the value of the Theory of Planned Behavior in explaining the intentions and the actual consumption of milk among pregnant women participating in or eligible for WIC. A cross-sectional survey was conducted to collect information regarding attitudes, subjective norms, perceived control, milk allocation within the family, intentions and consumption of milk. The survey questionnaire was developed using open-ended questions and interviews with 112 pregnant women. One-hundred-eighty women recruited from prenatal clinics completed the survey questionnaire. Multiple regression was used separately to investigate the association of factors to intentions and to the consu-mption of milk, as proposed in the theory. Milk allocation within the family was used as an exploratory variable to explain milk consumption. Study findings revealed that all three factors, attitudes, subjective norms and perceived control contributed to the model in explaining intentions (explained variance : 36.2%), with perceived control being most important. For milk consumption, intentions and perceived control were related significantly to actual consumption, while milk allocation within the family was not (explained variance : 44.6%). These findings suggest that perceived control is important in understanding both intentions and milk consumption, providing empirical evidence for the Theory of Planned Behavior. With respect to the role of perceived control, more strong evidence was provided in explaining intentions. Findings suggest that educational interventions to increase milk consumption among pregnant women should incorporate strategies to enhance the perception of control, and to strengthen positive attitudes and to elicit social support from significant other. Completion and Related Factors of Advance Directives in old adults (지역사회 재가노인의 사전연명의료의향서 작성의도 영향 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the completion and related factors on Advance Directives (AD) in olde adults. A cross-sectional descriptive study design was used. Participants were 196 old adults, 65 and over aged in D metropolitan city. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, and logistic regression with SPSS 22.0 program. The rate of completion intention toward AD was 58.2% in the participants. There were different age, Living alone, subjective health status, awareness toward AD, and negative attitude toward death by completion intention toward AD. In the regression analysis results, the predictors of completion intention toward AD was awareness toward AD in old adults. The findings of the study reveal that positive awareness toward AD can predict completion of AD of healthy old adults in community.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate factors influencing user's intention to use by expanding TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). Based on this model, this study developed a comprehensive model and user's motivation factors such as extrinsic and intrinsic motivation to describe their intention to accept WCDMA service. For this purpose those who have subscribed to and use the current mobile communication service - all of whom were 13 to 49 years old living in Seoul or other large cities - were surveyed. Structural equation model was conducted to identify and validate the relationship of overall variables relating to mobile service acceptance. The analysis results indicate that intrinsic motivations in mobile service acceptance process have significant impacts on perceived usefulness and perceived ease to use. The results of this study also proposed the way to boost mobile service user's extrinsic and intrinsic motivation for coming up with strategies on how to improve effectiveness of communication and marketing. Future directions and limitations are also discussed.

  • This paper proposes a semantic recommendation technique for a personalized e-commerce portal. Semantic recommendation is achieved by utilizing the attributes of products. The semantic similarity of the products is merged with the rating information of the products to provide an accurate recommendation. The recommendation technique also analyzes various attitudes of the customer to evaluate the implicit rating of products. Attitudes are classifies into three types such as "purchasing product", "adding product to shopping cart", and "viewing the product information." We implicitly track customer attitude to estimate the rating of products for recommending products. Also we implement a session validation process to identify the valid sessions that are highly important for giving an accurate recommendation. Our recommendation technique shows a high degree of accuracy as we use age groupings of customers with similar preferences. The experimental section shows that our proposed recommendation method outperforms well known collaborative filtering methods not only for the existing customer, but also for the new user with no previous purchase record.

  • The purpose of this study is to specify a probabilistic tracking mechanism for customer luxury purchase implemented by hidden Markov model, Bayesian inference, customer satisfaction and net promoter score. In this paper, we have designed a probabilistic model based on customer's actual data containing purchase or non-purchase states by tracking the SPC chain : customer satisfaction -> customer referral -> purchase/non-purchase. By applying hidden Markov model and Viterbi algorithm to marketing theory, we have developed the statistical model related to probability theories and have found the best purchase pattern scenario from customer's purchase records.

  • 본 고에서는 국내 인터넷전화서비스의 사업환경을 살펴보고 향후 시장을 전망하였다. 사업환경 분석은 시장, 사업자 그리고 정책환경 측면에서 분석을 실시한다. 시장 분석에서는 인터넷전화의 가입의향과 PSTN 해지의향, 인터넷전화서비스 선호 고객의 특성 등을 조사 분석하였다. 사업자 분석에서는 현재 인터넷전화서비스를 제공하고 있거나 향후 제공할 예정인 사업자들을 대상으로 이들이 추구할 전략 방향을 분석하고 이로부터 유사한 전략을 추구할 전략집단을 도출하였다. 정책환경은 그간의 인터넷전화의 정책동향과 정책 이슈를 중심으로 분석하였다. 시장전망은 가정용과 기업용을 구분하여 실시하며, 가정용은 다시 시내번호 인터넷전화와 070 인터넷전화를 구분하여 시장을 전망하였다. 기업용은 기업의 규모에 따라 인터넷전화 이용형태가 상이한 점을 반영하여 시장 전망을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 가정용 인터넷전화의 포화수준은 시내번호 인터넷전화가 155만 회선, 070 인터넷전화가 약 382만 회선으로 추정되었으며 기업용 070 인터넷전화의 포화수준은 약 130만 회선으로 추정되었다. 그 과정에서 시내번호 인터넷전화의 새로운 요금수준에 대한 고객의 수용도, 상호접속의 정비 시점이 인터넷전화 확산에 큰 영향을 미치는 요인임을 발견할 수 있었다.

Factors Associated with Willingness to Volunteer for End-Stage AIDS Patients among Hospice Volunteers (호스피스 자원봉사자들의 말기 AIDS 환자들에게 자원봉사를 제공할 의향에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: With the implementation of the Act on Life Sustaining Treatment, hospice-palliative care will be extended to non-cancer diseases including the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). However, there are concerns about negative perceptions and prejudice toward AIDS patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate factors related with willingness to volunteer (WV) for patients with end-stage AIDS among hospice volunteers. Methods: Participants were 326 hospice volunteers from 19 institutions. A self-administered questionnaire was employed to investigate the participants' WV for end-stage AIDS patients, and the questions were answered using an 11-point rating scale. Demographics, volunteer activity, satisfaction with hospice volunteering, knowledge of AIDS, and attitudes towards AIDS patients (i.e., fear AIDS patients, negative attitude towards AIDS patients, personal stigmatization and stigmatizing attitude) were also investigated. A multiple regression analysis was performed to examine factors associated with WV for patients with end-stage AIDS. Results: WV for patients with end-stage AIDS was 2.82 points lower than that for cancer patients (P<0.001). The multiple regression analysis showed that the higher the level of satisfaction with hospice volunteering (P=0.002) and the lower the level of "personal stigmatization" (P<0.001), participants showed greater WV for end-stage AIDS patients. Conclusion: The level of satisfaction with hospice volunteering and "personal stigmatization" were factors associated with participants' WV for patients with end-stage AIDS.

Effect of Experience Marketing of Exhibition Factors in Flower Fair on Intension of Customer Purchase (화훼박람회 전시요인의 체험마케팅이 소비자 구매의향에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was to highlight the importance of elements of flower fair to organizer who organize flower fair in local community, to increase of participancy in flower fair exhibition with informing experience element and finally to increase incomes of flower farmhouse. To investigate degrees of interest of visitors on experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair, survey was conducted for 278 target audiences and data was analyzed to find the effect of experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair on the interest of purchasing. To population statistics, female took majority, 61.9% in sex, twenties, 34.5% in ages, married, 50.7% in marriage and students, 36.7% in job. University graduation occupied 58.3% in education, one million something, 48.6% in average income, seoul showed 38.1% in resident cities and 1st time visit was 79.9% in flower fair visit. For statistical categories, technology statistics analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. To check validity, factor analysis was conducted, and to see interrelationship of factors, using regression analysis, fluence among factors was analyzed. Results showed that exhibition environment of flower fair was effected by cultural elements, exhibition quality and exhibition service were effected by event and cultural element, exhibition marketing was effected by cultural and image element and purchasing interest was effected by image element.

A study on the needs for the cool motorcycle helmet and the factors affecting the purchasing intention (오토바이용 쿨 헬멧의 필요성과 구매요인에 관한 조사연구)

  • This study is to investigate the needs for the cool motorcycle helmet and the factors affecting the purchasing intention of cool helmet. The convenient sampling from motorcycle clubs were conducted during 5/20/2014~5/28/2014 on Google DAX. As a result, 197 participants were surveyed. The main reasons of sensing unpleasant feeling wearing helmet were identified as 'hot and uncomfortable feeling' and 'it ruins hair style'. The mean score expressed in terms of five point scale showed that the needs for cool helmet was 3.9 and the purchasing intention of cool helmet was 3.6, respectively. The significant factors influencing the purchasing intention of cool helmet were identified as 'the needs for cool helmet' (odds ratio=6.52) and 'extra paying intention for cool helmet' (odds ratio=1.77). The main reasons of sensing unpleasant feeling wearing helmet were similar to the previous research. However, we can expect that the initial target market for cool helmet would be the low end (less than \40,000 of extra paying intention) or the high end (more than \100,000 of extra paying intention). The main contribution of this study is dealing with the topics related to the purchasing intention of the cool helmet.

Study on Forecasting Factors of Baby Boomer's Social Participation Desire After Retirement (베이비붐 세대의 노후 사회참여 의향 예측요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to identify forecasting factors of baby boomer's social participation desire. For this purpose, I utilized Hyun-Jung Kang(2012)'s data whose 1,115 sample were collected based on residential area and gender. The major findings are as follows; First, 77.7% of baby boomers are actually participating in economic activities. 27.0% in volunteering activities and 79.3% in leisure activities. 80.9% of baby boomers have intention to participate in economic activities after retirement, 76.7% in volunteering activities after retirement and 82.2% in leisure activities after retirement. Second, looking at the relationship between current social activity participation and intention to participate after retirement, those who are currently having social activities turn out to have higher intention to participate social activities after retirement. Those who wish to participate in social activities, although they don't participate in social activities currently, turn out to be 55.8% for economic activities, 70.6% for volunteering activities and 66.5% for leisure activities. Third, whether they are currently participating in social activities turns out to be most compelling forecasting factor for the desire on social participation after retirement. These results were discussed in terms of the continuity theory. and proposed that you need from the preparation of Middle - aged to activate the participation of important social variables known as old age life satisfaction.
