As computing technologies are rapidly progressed and widely used, the needs of high quality information have been increased. To satisfy these needs, it is essential to develop a system which can provide an efficient storing, managing and retrieving mechanism of complex multimedia data, esp. video data. In this paper, we propose a metadata model which can support content-based retrieval of video data. And we design and implement an integrated user interface for querying and browser for content-based retrieval in video database which can efficiently access and browse the video clip that user want to see. Proposed query processor and browser can support various user queries by integrating image feature, spatial temporal feature and annotation. Our system supports structure browsing of retrieved result, so users can more exactly and efficiently access relevant video clip. Without browsing the whole video clip, users can know the contents of video by seeing the storyboard. This storyboard facility makes users know more quickly the content of video clip.

MPEC-7 메타데이타는 이미지의 칼라 히스토그램과 같은 멀티미디어 객체의 속성을 기술할 수 있어서, MPEG-7을 사용하는 멀티미디어 디지털도서관 시스템은 멀티미디어 객체에 대한 내용기반 검색을 가능하게 해준다. MPEC-7 메타데이타는 XML 데이터이며, 이애 대한 질의를 위해서는 XQuery와 같은 XML 데이터를 위한 질의어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-7 데이터에 대한 XQuery 질의를 처리할 수 있는 XQuery 엔진을 제안한다. 엔진은 XQuery를 입력받아 정보검색을 위한 POT(Primitive Operation Tree)를 생성한다. 우리의 방식은 표준질의어인 XQuery를 처리함으로써 디지털도서관 시스템 사이의 상호 운영성을 확보할 수 있으며, XQuery 엔진과 정보검색기 사이의 표준 인터페이스로 사용할 수 있는 POT를 위한 primitive operation 집합을 정의하였으며, 또한 POT 상에서의 질의 최적화를 수행하여 검색 성능 향상을 도모하였다.

본 논문에서는 관계형 데이타베이스인 오라클과 IRS중 하나인 BRS를 사용하여 XML 저장관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. XML저장관리 시스템의 내용 검색과 인덱스 추출을 위해 BRS 검색 시스템을 사용하였으며, XML 문서, 구조정보, DTD, 이미지 등을 저장하기 위해 오라클을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 저장관리 시스템은 질의 처리기, 검색결과생성기, XML 객체관리자, XML 인덱스 관리자, 구조검색엔진 등으로 구성된다. 구현된 XML 저장관리 시스템은 XML 문서에 대한 내용검색뿐만 아니라 구조적 특징 또는 대트리뷰트에 기반한 검색을 효율적으로 제공한다. 구현한 저장관리 시스템은 문서 저장 시간, 문서 추출 시간, 내용 검색 시긴 등에 대해서 분할 모델 저장관리 시스템과 비교한다.

본 논문에서는 전력증폭기 선형화를 위한 Cartesian feedback 방식의 궤환 경로에서 발생하는 DC offset과 이득 및 위상 불일치를 자동적으로 보상하는 개선된 방식을 제안한다. Cartesian feedback에 의한 비선형 전력증폭기 왜곡성분의 감쇠 정도는 시스템 루프의 이득, 대역폭, 시간지연에 의해 결정된다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 궤환 경로 각 소자에서 발생하는 DC offset과 이득 및 위상의 불일치로 인하여 송신기의 출력신호에 원하지 않는 반송파 성분과 이미지 신호가 발생하여 궤환보상의 효과가 반감되는 결과를 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 신호처리 시스템 구조에서 이진 검색 (binary search) 알고리즘을 이용하여 궤환 경로에서 발생하는 DC offset과 이득 및 위상 불일치를 자동적으로 보상하는 방식을 제안하고 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 방식의 성능을 분석한다. 모의실험에서 고려된 방식에 비하여 동일한 정도의 DC offset과 이득 및 위상 불일치의 보상에 걸리는 시간을 평균적으로 40% 단축할 수 있었다.

PACS는 의학용 영상 정보의 저장, 판독 및 검색 기능 등의 수행을 통합적으로 처리하는 시스템을 말한다. 그 중 방사선 검사 곁과를 디지털 이미지로 변환하여 대용량 기억장치에 저장시키는데 기에 따른 저장장치의 비용증가와 데이터의 효율적인 관리가 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 의료 영상 데이터의 효율적인 이동을 위한 이미지 저장 시스템의 모듈을 설계하였다.

The GIS which is analysis of the real world to construction of 3D virtual city develop s in rapid growth. 3D virtual city is simulated by use of a GIS, Computer graphics, virtual reality and Spatial database. In this paper 3D topographical basemap which have the geographic coordinate of world was constructed by digital map. And build the Cyber city with combining the building that have elevation and 3D topographical basemap. By using server/client system for the cyber city. 3D cyber city web service implemented. We proposed the hybrid base web service method rather than the image or vector base web service. By the spatial and attribute search in the 3D Cyber City, overcome the existing simple visibility of Web 3D technology, and exhibited development direction to the Web 3D GIS.

The designed and fabricated millimeter-wave security screening system receives radiation energy from an object and a human body. The imaging system consist of sixteen array antennas, sixteen four-stage LNAs, sixteen detectors, an infrared camera, a CCD camera, reflector, and a focusing lens. This system requires high sensitivity and wide bandwidth to detect the input thermal noise. The LNA module of the system has been measured to have 65.8 dB in average linear gain and 82 GHz~102 GHz in bandwidth to enhance the sensitivity for thermal noise, and to receive it over a wide bandwidth. The detector is used for direct current (DC) output translation of millimeter-wave signals with a zero bias Schottky diode. The lens and front-end of the millimeter-wave sensor are important in the system to detect the input thermal noise signal. The frequency range in the receiving sensitivity of the detectors was 350 to 400 mV/mW at 0 dBm (1 mW) input power. The developed W-band imaging system is effective for detecting and identifying concealed objects such as metal or plastic.

The purpose of the present study is to verify the two hypotheses: (1) Online services are fundamentally automated versions of the reference services. Accordingly there will be a major impact on reference services when Online service is introduced into the traditional library environment. The chief impact will be that the use of data bases retrieval service supplements and improves the traditional reference service when Online service is coordinated with the traditional reference service. and is fully incorporated into the existing user service areas. (2) The availability of data bases retrieval service will make it possible for the first time for the reference services to offer substantial search services of any kind resources limited to the printed sources. In light of such circumstances, libraries would provide better service to their users and greatly increase the productivity of reference librarians. There will be also the recognition that a result of an improved professional image for reference librarians and the library heightens user interest. This change may be translated into increased usage of library services generally. To achieve the purpose, 4 Research Libraries adopted Online retrieval from DIALOG's data bases-searching and reference services available in-house were chosen.

The information users of the middle of 1990s. who know the Internet as well as its useful information services, are now expecting the virtual library services. Especially the increasing demands on hypertext and hypermedia information in the internet settings have been centered on the W3 with the man-page information. In this manner, the paper describes the access methods with brief concepts of the W3 and explains URLs and HTML. It also gives the retrieval layouts of unformatted data including images and sounds and then provides the information sources and software of W3 Clients and Servers in order to catch up the most recently post version of W3.

스테레오 X-선 영상시스템 개발을 위하여 수치적 프로젝션을 획득하는 방법론 및 수치적 팬텀 영상을 고안하고 시험하였다. 오픈소스인 TAKE21을 사용하여 수치적 팬텀을 설계하고 그로부터 프로젝션 이미지를 획득하였다. 스테레오 영상을 위한 평행 원근 투영(Parallel-Perspective) 기하구조에 대한 스테레오 프로젝션 영상을 얻기 위해서 계측기의 계와 선원의 위치에 대해 동차 좌표계(Homogeneous coordinate)에서의 선형변환(Linear Transform)을 적용되는 방식을 이용하였다. 이러한 시뮬레이션은 스테레오 X-선 검색 장치의 설계 및 알고리즘 개발에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
