The Differentiation Process of the Soul and the Opposites in God in The Red Book (『레드 북』에 나타나는 심혼의 분화 과정과 신의 대극성의 문제)

  • The Red Book is a personal record that contains Jung's psychological self-experiment and describes his own experiences of the individuation process. Throughout The Red Book, Jung describes how he got caught by the spirit of the depths and dethroned the spirit of this time, how he regained his lost soul by getting to the bottom of inner processes, how he differentiated the soul upon encountering the various aspects of his soul, and finally how he confronted God approaching Jung in the form of the divine opposites. The spirit of the depths as a personification of the collective unconscious caught up with Jung and launched him into the individuation process. The spirit of the depths was "the God yet to come". Jung realized that he had been driven by the collective spirit of his time and then set off on a journey into a new territory of life under the guidance of the spirit of the depths. Jung first encountered his lost soul, afterwards experiencing various aspects of the soul-spirit duo such as Salome-Elijah, Helena-Simon, and Baucis-Philemon. In the process of individuation, the initial experience of the soul can appear to the ego as a Satanic force which darkens the consciousness. The Red Book describes how Jung consciously integrated the Satanic force and came to realize the meaning of it. Jung's experience of emotionally gripping aspects of the soul led him to the awareness of the dark side of God, Satan, while the insights he gained from that Satanic emotionality led him to the awareness of the bright side of God, Christ. Through this process, he finally encountered the opposites in God. Jung also referred to the Self as an image of God which manifests itself in the psyche. Jung later discovered God as a phenomenal psychic reality which incarnates itself from the unconscious into the conscious. He did it in terms of strict empirical science. Although the incarnation process of the deity is the main cause of psychological conflict and distress of a human being, if accepted consciously, we come to realize that the incarnation process of the deity in the psyche is the ultimate teleology and meaning of our life as well.

A Psychological Interpretation of Fairly Tale Mokdoryung, Son of Tree (한국민담 '목(木)도령'의 분석심리학적 해석)

  • A brief story of the tale follows : Mokdoryung was a son of an arbor tree and a fairly. When the boy was 7-8 years old, mother-fairy returned to the sky. By using father-tree, Mokdoryung survived from the flood where he saved ants, mosquitos, and a boy with the same age. They arrived on top of the highest mountain, met an old woman with two daughters, worked as servants. With help of insects, Mokdoryung passed the trials, married to a wise daughter and 2 couples became the ancestor of the mankind. Interpretation of the tale starts with amplification of tree which symbolizes Self and Libido. As the son of the tree-spirit and a fairly from the sky, Mokdoryung is a kind of 'divine child' which represents a psychic possibility to understand archetypal nature of unconscious. Adversities of early childhood due to mother's absence regarded as necessary condition for 'divine child' to attain highest good. Flood can be compensation of absence of feminine as well as to bring a new life. The notion of father·tree becomes a kind of life-boat has to do with union of opposite(vertical phallic tree and horizontal feminine boat). Ants and mosquitoes represent upper and lower level of unconsciousness, they mediate divine power. Therefore respecting insects means respecting unconscious, and reward of insects means salvation come from unconscious. The boy saved from the flood presents emergence of psychic energy in its latent unconscious condition to create mental dynamism. The old woman is Great Mother or anima, the controller or guider of unconscious. Working as servants can be an active service for the divine marriage. Trials of separating millet from sand, and finding right direction relate to separatio, means one needs to be separated from unconscious before conunctio, union of opposite. Two sets of couple becoming ancestor of man-kind has to do with number 4 (quaternity) as well as regeneration. Although the tale includes both positive couple (Mokdoryung, wise daugther in east room). and negative couple(shadow side of Mokdoryung, step daughter in west room)as ancestors of mankind, "Good" seems to be more valued than "evil".

The Effect of Gender Equality Instruction in Home Economic class on the High School Students Consciousness of Gender Equality - focused on the Unit of Design of Home Life - (가정과에 적용한 양성평등 수업이 고등학생의 남녀평등의식에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was a quasi-experimental study conducted in ${\ulcorner}$Design of Home Life${\lrcorner}$ unit of high school Home Economics. The purposes of this study was to analyze the effects of gender equity instruction on gender equity consciousness of high school students, and to raise gender equity consciousness of students. The summarized results of this study were as follows; 1. After experiment. gender equality consciousness of experimental group was higher than that of comparison group in all four areas, that is, home life, school life, vocational life and socio-cultural life. So there was statistically significant differences in gender equity consciousness between two groups. 2. The gender equity consciousness of the experimental group was higher In post-test than pre-test, so there was statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test in the comparison group. 3. After experiment, the change-rate of the gender equality consciousness In the experimental group was higher than that of in the comparison group, so there was statistically significant differences between two groups in the change-rate. As results of this study, in the ${\ulcorner}$Design of Home Life${\lrcorner}$ unit of high school Home Economics, it was proved that the gender equity class was effective on raising the gender equality consciousness of high school students in all four areas of home life, school life, vocational life and socio-cultural life.

Streptococcus thermophilus K-1 및 Lactobacillus acidophilus LB12 균주에 있어 최대 Exopolysaccharide 생산에 영향을 미치는 물리적 원인 규명을 위한 연구

  • EPS를 생성하는 Str. thermophilus K-1 및 Lb. acidophilus LB12를 10% 환원 탈지유에 배양하고, EPS 생산을 위한 배지로는 Elliker broth를 사용하여 20, 25 및 $37^{\circ}C$에서 72시간까지 저장하면서 12시간 간격으로 시료를 꺼내어 EPS생산량, 생균수, 산도 및 점도 등을 측정하여 EPS생산과 이들 물리저 요인들과의 상호관계를 조사하였다. Str. thermophilus K-1의 경우, $20^{\circ}C,\;37^{\circ}C$에 저장한 시료의 EPS 생산량은저장 60시간에 각각 0.358, 0.386O.D.로 최대를 나타내었으며, 저장 72시간에는 다소 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. $25^{\circ}C$에 저장한 시료는 저장 36시간부터 O.D. 0.313으로 급속히 증가하여 72시간까지 그 수준을 거의 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. Lb. acidophilus CH-2의 경우에는 25, $37^{\circ}C$에서는 EPS생산이 서서히 증가하다가, 36, 48시간에 0.775, 0.833O.D.로 각각 최대를 나타낸 후에 다시 서서히 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며, 저장 $20^{\circ}C$에서는 저장 60시간에 1.123O.D.로 EPS생산이 최대에 도달한 후 저장 72시간에는 다시 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 두균주의 세 가지 배양 온도에서 EPS가 최대를 나타내는 시점은 생균수가 감소하는 시점과 일치하므로, 균주 및 배양온도에 상관없이 균성장 말기 또는 균사멸기 초기에 EPS가 가장 많이 생산됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 점도 및 산도는 저장 온도가 높을수록, 그리고 저장 기간이 길어질수록 대체로 많이 생성되는 것으로 나타났으며, EPS생산과의 유의성도 상당히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 것들이 부딛힘이 없이 공존하고 일상의 논리가 무시된다. 부정, 의심이 없고 확실한 것이 없다. 한 대상에 가졌던 생각이 다른 대상에 옮겨간다(displacement). 한 대상이 여러 대상이 갖고 있는 의미를 함축하고 있다(condensation). 시각적인 순서가 무시된다. 마음속의 생각과 외부의 실제적인 일을 구분하지 못한다. 시간 상의 순서가 있다가 없다가 한다. 차례로 일어나야 할 일이 동시에 한꺼번에 일어난다. 대상들이 서로 비슷해지고 동시에 있을 수 없는 대상들이 함께 나타난다. 사고의 정상적인 구조가 와해된다. Matte-Blance는 무의식에서는 여러 독립된 대상들간의 구분을 없애며, 주체와 객체를 하나로 보려는 대칭화(symmetrization)의 경향이 있기 때문에 이런 변화가 생긴다고 하였다. 또 대칭화가 진행되면 무한대의 느낌을 갖게 되어, 전지(moniscience), 전능(omnipotence), 무력감(impotence), 이상화(idealization)가 나타난다. 그러나 무의식에 대칭화만 있는 것은 아니며, 의식의 사고양식인 비대칭도 어느 정도 나타나며, 대칭화의 정도에 따라, 대상들이 잘 구분되어 있는 단계, 의식수준의 감정단계, 집단 내에서의 대칭화 단계, 집단간에서의 대칭화 단계, 구분이 없어지는 단계로 구분하였다.systems. 정성적 시뮬레이션에 의한 화력발전소 보일러 프로세스의 고장진단

  • 최근 산업 플랜트의 공정제어 시스템은 복잡하고 대규모화되어 고장 발생시 경제적 손실과 위험성이 증폭되어 규정된 안정서와 신뢰성 확보가 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 고장검출 및 진단기법은 시스템의 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 효과적인 방안을 연구하는 것으로 현대에 들어서 많은 학자들의 관심을 끌고 있으며 실제 계통에 점차적으로 응용되고 있다. 현재까지 개발된 고장검출 및 진단기법은 사용된 프로세스 모델의 형태, 고장검출 진단 알고리즘에 따라 다양하게 분류 될 수 있으며 일반적으로 사용된 모델에 따라 크게 1) 정량적 모델에 근거한 해석적 기법, 2) 정성적 모델에 근거한 기법, 3) 지식기반 진단 기법으로 구분 할 수 있다. 이중 정량적 모델 기법은 대상계통의 수학적 모델에 근거하여 운전 데이터를 분석함으로서 고장검출 진단을 수행하는 해석적 기법으로서 근본적으로 계통의 정확한 수학적 모델을 요구하므로 불확실성을 포함한 계통 및 비선형성이 강한 계통등에는 적용이 곤란하다. 정성적 모델 및 지식기반 기법은 정량적 진단 기법과는 달리 대상 프로세스에 대한 수학적 모델 대신에 운전자의 경험과 프로세스 변수간의 상호 작용 및 고장의 전파과정, 고장원인과 증상과의 직접적인 관계에 대한 구조적 지식에 근거한 것으로 고장원인에 대한 계통의 동작을 추론 할 수 있으며, 상황 변화에 따른 영향을 예측할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 정성적 모델 및 지식기반 기법에 근거한 고장검출 및 진단 기술을 화력 발전소 보일로 프로세스에 적용하여 정성적 시뮬레이션에 의한 설비의 고장을 조기에 발견하여 고장 파급으로 인한 발전 정지 및 설비의 손상 확대를 방지하고 고장 발생시 신속한 원인 규명 및 후속 조치관련 정보들을 운전원에게 제공할 목적으로 현재 전력원에서 개발중인 지능형 경보시스템에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.음과 같이 설명하였다. 서로 상반되는 것들이 다음과 같이 설명하였다. 서로 상반되는 것들이 부딛힘이 없이 공존하고 일상의 논리가 무시된다. 부정, 의심이 없고 확실한 것이 없다. 한 대상에 가졌던 생각이 다른 대상에 옮겨간다(displacement). 한 대상이 여러 대상이 갖고 있는 의미를 함축하고 있다(condensation). 시각적인 순서가 무시된다. 마음속의 생각과 외부의 실제적인 일을 구분하지 못한다. 시간 상의 순서가 있다가 없다가 한다. 차례로 일어나야 할 일이 동시에 한꺼번에 일어난다. 대상들이 서로 비슷해지고 동시에 있을 수 없는 대상들이 함께 나타난다. 사고의 정상적인 구조가 와해된다. A Study on Audio-Visual Expression of Biometric Data Based on the Polysomnography Test (수면다원검사에 기반한 생체데이터 시청각화 연구)

  • The goal of the study is to provide a new type of audio-visualization method through case analysis and work production based on Polysomnography(PSG) data that is difficult to interpret or not familiar to the public. Most art works are produced with conscious actions during waking hours. On the other hand, during sleep, we get into the world of unconsciousness. Therefore, through the experiment, want to discover if could get something new when we were in the subconscious state, and if so, wondered what kind of art could be made through it. The study method is to consider definition of sleep and sleep data first. The sleep data were classified into normal group and Narcolepsy, Insomnia, and sleep apnea by focusing on sleep disorder graphs that is measured by sleep polygraph. After that, I refined and converted the acquired biometric data into a text-based script. The degree of sleep in the text form of the script was rendered as a 3D animated image using Maya. In addition, the heart rate data script was transformed into a midi format, and the audition was implemented in the garage band. After Effects combines the image and sound to create four single channel images of 3 minutes and 20 seconds each. As a result of the research, I made an opportunity for anyone easy to understand the results, having difference with the normal data, through art instead of using difficult medical term. It also showed the possibility of artistic expression even when conscious actions did not occur. Through the results of this research, I expect the expansion and diversity of artistic audiovisual expression of biometric data.

A Study on the Mythological Analysis of Animation (애니메이션의 신화적 분석에 관한 연구)

  • From the result of analysis to animation, it can be detected the close relation between myth and animation. As Plato mention that myth is a story. Though it is common field for many researchers on myth and animation now, but it have been performing many researches only for animation narrative in the aspect of myth. Therefore this study will be examined that the ritual ceremony, the frequency of participation, and imagination of myth can be related with animation directly. The ritual ceremony is a similar activity to go to theater for watching animation. It can be merged into the unconsciousness state while awaken state. A high frequency of ritual ceremony can also be provide the experience of shortening a distance between the present and the ancient time of mythical aura. Last, imagination is an enemy of rational thoughts, however, it is vital source and material which was created by myth and it can also create new animation. It will be formulated a methodology for this paper which are three elements for an analogizing tool with new mythological approaches, it is inclusive method for animation and myth. So it can be applied and analyzed to other visual media with this methodology.

An Interpretation of the Korean Fairy-Tale "Borrowed Fortune From Heaven" From the Perspective of Analytical Psychology (한국민담 <하늘에서 빌려온 복>에 대한 분석심리학적 이해)

  • This study examined the Korean folklore "Borrowed Fortune from Heaven" from the perspective of Analytical Psychology, considering it a manifestation of the human psyche, and tried to gain a deeper understanding of what happens in our mind. Through the exploration, the researcher was able to re-identify the ongoing psychological process operating in the depths of our mind, pertaining to the emergence of a new dimension of consciousness. Particularly the researcher was able to gain some insights into how the potential psychic elements for the new consciousness are prepared in the unconscious, how they get integrated into the conscious life, and what is essential for the accomplishment of the process. The tale begins with a poor woodcutter who, in order to escape from poverty, starts gathering twice as much firewood. However, the newly acquired amount disappears overnight, so the woodcutter gets perplexed and curious about where it goes and who is taking it. He seeks to find out the truth, which leads him to an unexpected journey to Heaven. There he learns the truth concerning his very tiny amount of fortune, and discovers another big fortune for an unborn person. By pleading with the ruler of Heaven, the woodcutter borrows that grand fortune, on the condition that he must return it to the owner when the time comes. After that, the woodcutter's life undergoes a series of changes, in which he finally becomes a wealthy farmer, but gradually is reminded more and more that the destined time is approaching. In the end, the fortune is completely transferred to the original owner, resulting in a dramatic twist and the creation of a new life circumstances. The overall plot can be understood as a reflection of the psychological process aiming at the evolution of consciousness through renewal. In this context, the woodcutter can be considered a psychic element that undergoes a continuous transformation in preparation for participating in the upcoming new consciousness. In other words, the changes brought about by this figure can be interpreted as a gradual and increasingly detailed foreshadowing of what the forthcoming new consciousness would be like. Interestingly, as the destined time approaches, the protagonist's anguish in conflict reaches its climax, despite his good performance in his role until then. This effectively portrays the difficulty of achieving a new dimension of consciousness, which requires moving past the last step. All the events in the story ultimately converge at this point. After all, the resolution occurs when the protagonist lets go of everything he has and follows the will of Heaven. This implies what is essential for the renewal of consciousness. Only by completely complying with the entire mind, the potential constituents of the new consciousness that should play important roles in a renewal and evolution of consciousness through experiencing, can participate in the ultimate outcome. As long as they remain trapped in any intermediate stage, the totality of the psyche would develop another detour aiming at the final destination, which means the beginning of another period of suffering carrying a purposeful meaning. The tale suggests that this truth will be applied everywhere that renewal of consciousness is directed, whether for an individual or a society.

The Interpretaion of the Fairy Tale <The Frog King or Iron Heinrich> in Light of Jungian Psychology : The Unification of Opposites in the Fairytale (민담 <개구리 왕 혹은 충직한 하인리히>의 융심리학적 해석 : 민담에 나타난 대극의 합일)

  • The initial situation in our tale shows that the earth-mother-feminine principle disappeared from the center of the collective consciousness into the collective unconscious. Therefore the heaven-father-masculine principle is dominant, which is represented by the king. And in the king's daughter, who is living without mother, the positive father complex is working. She stays in the heaven-spirit world playing with the golden ball, which can be seen as the state of inflation. She is disconnected from the earth-mother-feminine principle, which is important for a woman to find her genuine feminine identity. This demanded principle approaches her through the frog, a bewitched prince. Psychologically it means that a man is under the power of the negative mother complex. The disgusting, ugly frog is a symbol for the shadow, the earthly animal instincts of the princess. Only with his help she can find her golden ball again, which has fallen into the deep well. Their talk about the rewards to him for his help shows us very well the opposites. The frog wants the feminine value such as relation, earthly eros, but the princess offers the masculine value such as heavenly logos. After the frog brought her the lost ball, i.e. she regained her libido, she completely forgot her promise. Like this the content, which is becoming conscious, here the shadow, is easy to fall back into the unconscious and to be repressed. The frog cannot be with the princess without the help of the king, a father figure, a firm protector of the collective oder. At first unwillingly the princess obeys Logos of her father. But her authentic instinctual urge grows stronger and it causes that her ego is released from the power of her father complex. At just this moment the frog turns into a prince, i.e. he is liberated from the mother complex. The marriage of princess and frog-prince symbolize the unification of the opposites: heaven becomes earthly and earth becomes heavenly. Three iron bands, wrapped around the heart of Heinrich, a young king's servant, are snapped, while he brings the prince and princess back to his kingdom. The heart, the place of earth-mother-feminine consciousness, is now liberated. This principle, which disappeared into the unconscious, emerged into the collective consciousness and the wholeness is recovered. The Self is now leading the collective consciousness, which includes not only the principle of Logos but also Eros.

A Study on a Sensitivity Analysis using Color Information and Fuzzy Reasoning Rule (색채 정보와 퍼지 추론 규칙을 이용한 감성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • 인간이 그린 그림은 자신의 심리적 상태와 성격, 정서적인 갈등과 같이 자기표현을 나타낸다. 그림을 통해서 색채 정보와 그린 물체의 위치를 통하여 그린 사람의 심리 상태를 파악하고 치료 할 수 있다. 이러한 그림 치료를 통해서 갈등을 조정하고, 자기 표현과 승화 과정을 통해 자아의 성장 과정을 도울 수 있고, 내담자들의 객관적이고 의식적인 서술만으로 파악하기 어려운 문제를 그림을 통해 무의식 세계를 쉽게 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 인간이 그린 그림에서 색채정보와 물체의 위치 정보를 분석하고 퍼지추론 규칙을 이용하여 감성 상태를 파악하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 알슈울러와 해트릭(Alschuler and Hattwick)의 색채에 따른 감성상태와 Grunwald의 그림 표현의 공간 구성에 따른 심리상태에 적용한 결과, 제안된 감성 분석 방법이 효율적인 것을 확인하였다.
