  • The present study was carried out to evaluate the impacts of the qualities of dental medical services on service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty for 221 patients who visited 17 dental hospitals or clinics located in Busan and Ulsan using questionnaires and obtained the following conclusion. By gender, males had higher perceptions of para-language than females did in the qualities of the dental medical services, and by the level of education, college students and university graduates had higher perceptions of body language and physical appearance. Scores of service value, consumer satisfaction and customer loyalty were higher in males, college students and university graduates, and married patients, but those were not statistically significant. It turned out that the qualities of the dental medical services were correlated with service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty. As the perception of para-linguistic and verbal communication in the qualities of the medical services increased, service value increased; as the perception of verbal communication and physical appearance increased, consumer satisfaction increased; and as the perception of verbal communication, physical appearance and body language increased, consumer loyalty increased. To sum up the above findings, the qualities of dental medical services influence service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty, so in the future, it will be necessary to study quality dental medical services with which patients are satisfied.

Concretely, it is confirmed where there are effects of patient-centered communication of doctor to patient participation and whether there are moderating effects of trust between patient-centered communication of doctor and patient participation. In domestic general hospital, 301 samples were for this analysis collected and tested by factor analysis and moderating regression analysis. As a result of this study is as followings. First, it is confirmed that communication facilitating factor have influences on patient participation positively and communication inhibition factor have no influences on patient participation. Second, there are moderating effects of trust between facilitating factor and emotional participation, between facilitating factor and informational participation. Especially, in higher level group of trust, it is confirmed that facilitating factor more influence on emotional participation and informational participation. On the basis of these study results, I suggested theoretical and practical implication for the patient-centered communication and successful medical service.

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to identify the degree of emotional labor, mental health care, care performance of certified caregivers for elder with dementia, and the factors that affect care performance. Methods: In order to collect data, structured questionnaire was used for 197 caregivers who worked at 3 dementia specialized facilities located in D city. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 20.0. Results: Care performance had negative relationship with emotional labor(r=-.320, p<.000) and mental health(r=-.240, p<=001). Emotional labor had positive relationship with mental health(r=.208, p=.003) And the prediction factors influencing care performance were health status(${\beta}=.363$, p<.001), emotional labor(${\beta}=-.242$, p<.001), mental health(${\beta}=-.223$, p=.001). The total variance was 38.9% by predictors(F=25.978, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the care performance mental health program should be provided and good health management is needed to improve health status. And also it is necessary to develop and apply new strategies to reduce emotional labor of the dementia facility caregivers.
