Korean medical device industry has laid the foundation for full-fledged growth and development with the G7 medical engineering technology development project that started in 1995, and the medical device production in 2020 increased by 8.52 times and the export by 13.94 times, compared to those in 2001. In early years, electronic medical devices such as ultrasound imaging device contributed greatly to Korean medical industry, but top ranks in medical device production and export in Korea has shifted recently to in vitro diagnostic medical devices and dental implants. However, the share of imported medical devices in the Korean medical device market have not changed much; it still ranges in 60 to 70%, as the Korean medical device industry produces and exports mid- to low-priced medical devices, and technology-intensive and capital-intensive high-priced medical devices are mainly imported. In this paper, we compare the leading medical devices produced by major Korean companies and those by global top medical device companies to suggest strategies for the Korean medical device companies to enter the global market.

생명공학기술(BT)과 정보통신기술(IT)의 융합으로 모바일 의료기기가 최근 빠른 속도로 발전 하고 있다. 작년부터 시작된 헬스케어 웨어러블 디바이스의 열풍은 IT기업의 헬스케어 시장 진입을 촉진하고 있으며, 스마트폰의 보급으로 인해 의료기기의 활용도와 편리성이 비약적으로 향상되고 있다. 각각의 영역에서 발전하던 의료기기와 스마트기기는 이제 모바일 의료기기라는 하나의 시장에서 만난다. 의료진을 중심으로 개발되던 의료기기는 소비자의 관점에서 재조명되어 보다 유용한 기기로 탈바꿈하고 있다. 단순한 건강관리에서부터 중증질환의 치료에 이르기까지 모바일 의료기기가 제공하는 스마트 헬스케어 솔루션이 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 본 보고서는 최근의 바이오 기술과 헬스케어 스마트기기의 발달을 살펴보고, 모바일 의료기기가 가져올 스마트 헬스케어의 가능성과 극복해야 할 장애물에 대해 분석하였다. 특히 ICT 융합산업이 직면하게 되는 이종 산업의 속성 차이를 이해하는데 주안점을 두었다.

의료기기 산업은 시장규모와 생산규모에서 미국이 전 세계의 $40\%$ 이상을 차지하고 있어 국내외 모든 의료기기 제조업체에서는 미국시장진출을 목표로 꾸준히 노력하고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 의료기기는 인체에 직접 적용된다는 특성으로 인해 각 국가의 정부는 저마다 다른 엄격한 기준으로 자국내 시장진출을 규제하고 있으며 엄격한 관리제도를 유지하고 있다. 국내 최신의 전자 의료기기는 필수적으로 의료기기를 제어하기 위한 의료용 소프트웨어를 필요로 하므로 의료기기 산업의 발전은 의료용 소프트웨어 산업의 발전에 직결된다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 의료기기의 경우에는 인$\cdot$허가를 위한 제도 및 절차가 갖추어져 활용되고 있는 반면, 의료용 소프트웨어의 경우에는 적합한 평가기준이 마련되어 있지 못하여 제도 및 체계구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국제표준(ISO/IEC 12119, ISO/IEC 9126을 바탕으로 평가메트릭을 구축하여 의료용 소프트웨어의 정량적인 품질을 측정, 평가하여 품질측정의 결과를 토대로 품질을 인증하는 의료응용 소프트웨어 시험인증 지원도구를 설계 및 구현하였다.

This study has analyzed the international trade flow of medical devices in Korea, China, and Japan more theoretically and systematically through a mutual connection of the medical device export structure of Korea and the import structure of China and Japan organically, with an intensity approach on the bilateral international trade flow. Also, it is meaningful to find a solution to boost exports of Korea to China and Japan. Therefore in this study, we recognize the importance of the medical device market in China and Japan, which is the main competition for Korea and its market, and look into the trade situation of these three countries. We also look into the relative market stream and the trade intensity of the main medical devices in Korea, China and Japan, and seek measures for the steady growth of the medical device market in these three countries.

The domestic medical device industry compared by advanced nations continues a quick growth, also the level of technique is gradually improving. However, the high import percentage, low investment, shortage of professional manpower and etc. are remained as weaknesses in the competitive circumstance. In this paper I researched world medical device market and industry, and tried to find the development plan of the domestic medical device. The approach could be in mid-long term rather than short-term, The institutional improvement and support of the government, the production complex, the market segmentation and overseas marketing reinforcement and etc. are necessary for export expansion plan.

In this paper, we examined trends and regulations of the global medical equipment industry through literature search. The medical equipment industry is attracting attention as a new growth engine in the Fourth Industrial revolution. However, the medical device industry is a highly competitive field due to product diversity, short product life cycle and technological advances. In addition, Medical equipment are related to human health and safety. Therefore, it can only be exported if it is approved by national or international standards. Therefore, from the development stage of the product, the medical equipment should designate the country to be exported and develop a medical equipment that meets the requirements for licensing the medical equipment in the country. Therefore, In this paper, In this paper, we will present the practical considerations of the medical equipment exporting company by examining the global medical equipment market trends and the regulations related to medical equipment in major countries.

In this study, the national competitiveness of Korean and Chinese medical device industry was analyzed through RCA index, MCA index, and TSI index in order to draw the export specialized items possessing the national competitiveness of Korea in Chinese market. The drawn national competitiveness index was grouped and the change progress was examined by years. Korea should analyze the tendency of Chinese medical device market, confirm our market share in the Chinese market, apprehend the competitive superiority, and draw and excavate the specialized export item in order to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean medical device in the Chinese market.

본 고는 한국광학기기협회에서 신규시장 개척을 통한 관련 광학업체들의 수출증대를 위해 펼치고 있는 전략적 해외시장개척사업의 일환으로 인도 레이저 시장을 조사하여 만든 보고서의 내용을 일부 요약한 것이다. 조사 내용에 따르면, 인도의 레이저 시장은 총 5,676만 달러로 추정된다. 이중 산업용이 가장 많은 51%, 그 다음이 의료용으로 38%, 나머지는 각종 연구소에서 이용되는 과학 연구용으로써 11%를 차지한다.

의료기기는 다학제적 융합기술 분야이자 고 부가가치 산업으로 IT 기술의 발전과 초고령화 사회의 본격화로 높은 성장 가능성이 전망된다. 이 중 피부 부착형 (웨어러블) 및 인체 삽입형 (임플랜터블) 소형 의료기기는 포화된 스마트폰 시장에 새로운 성장 원동력으로 작용할 것이다. 따라서 본고에서는 생체삽입형 및 부착형 소형 의료기기 중 생체삽입형 전극 어레이, 스마트 콘택트 렌즈, 피부부착형 헬스 모니터링 디바이스의 개발 사례를 알아보고, 궁극적 소형 의료기기로 손꼽히는 복용형 디바이스에 대한 전망을 알아본다. 또한 각 유형별로 현재 극복해야 할 기술적 한계와 문제점을 짚어본다.

의료용 광 계측은 의광학의 일부분으로 빛이 생체조직과 일으키는 상호작용을 이용하여 환자의 치료나 진단 또는 의학 기초분야의 발전에 효과적으로 사용하고 있다. 광 계측 및 센서기기를 응용하여 제품화된 의료용품들에는 혈당센서,혈압센서,내시경,검안기,영상진단기 등이 있다. 특히 혈당센서의 경우 급속하게 늘어가고 있는 당뇨병 환자의 수요에 비례한 시장이 현재 세계시장규모인 5조원에서 연간200%씩 증가될 것으로 예측되고 있다. 내시경의 세계시장은 매년 약 5% 내외의 성장을 거듭하고 있으며 검안기는 매년 약 7.2%의 성장률을 기록하고 있다.
