Off-Line Recognition of Unconstrained Handwritten Korean Words using Over-Segementation and Lexicon Driven Post-Processing Techniques (과다 분리 및 사전 후처리 기법을 이용한 한글이 포함된 무제약 필기 문자열의 오프라인 인식)

  • 본 논문에서는 오프라인 무제약 필기 한글 단어를 인식하기 위한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 단어 인식 시스템은 크게 다석가지 모듈-문자 분리,조합행렬생성, 특징 추출, 문자인식, 사전 후처리 -로 구성되어 있다. 문자 분리 모듈은 입력된 단어 영상을 하나의 문자보다 더 작은 이미지 조각으로 과다 분리하며 , 조합 행렬 생성모듈에서는 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 이용하여 분리된 이미지 조각들로부터 사전상의 모든 단어들과 대응되는 가능한 모든 조합을 생성한다. 문자인식모듈은 각 그룹에 대하여 일괄적으로 얻어진 특징과 유니그램을 이용하여 문자인식을 수행한다. 마지막으로 사전 후처리 모듈에서는 각 그룹에 대한 문자인식 결과와 단어 사전을 사용하여 입력단어에 대한 최종 인식 결과를 도출한다. 본 문에서 제안한 방법은 문자 분리, 문자 인식 및 후처리를 상호 보완적으로 결합함으로써 한글이 포함된 무제약 필기 문자열을 효과적으로 인식할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 실제 우편 봉투 상에 쓰여진 필기 한글 단어 200개를 대상으로 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과 200개의 단어중 172개의 단어를 정인식하여 86%의 정확도를 얻을 수 있었으며 나머지 28개의 오인식된 단어들을 분석한 결과 대부분의 오류는 문자 인식기의 낮은 신뢰도 때문임을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 하나의 단어를 인식하기 위하여 약 2초가 소요되었다.

  • Green IT technology for the growth of low-carbon green environment and future development of the new technology. Therefore, in this paper, data generated by the security module for RFID applications, smart green building Sung multi-function sensor integrated module that can be integrated environment for building monitoring and management system has been developed. The development of a thermal sensor, temperature sensor, smog sensor, CO2 sensor, O2 sensor, tension sensor and damage detection sensor module with integrated system module integrated multi-functional sensors implemented in the paper. In real-time monitoring by allowing was design and developed system that can be implemented smart green building environment for the environment inside buildings.

  • In this paper, study on implementation of FFT analyzer applied to CAT, A/D conversion module, DSP module and VXIbus interface module are implemented in hardware and calculation program and control software are implemented in DSP module and VXIbus interface module, respectively. The control of the modules using PC is realized in software. The real time bandwidth of the FFT analyzing device is 100KHz. At sampling rate of 200KHz and with 2048 point FFT, the result of applying sine, triangular and rectangular wave of 20KHz to FFT analyzing device is compared with the FFT analyzed results of Hewlett-Packard 3562A dynamic output range of -40dBV- +30dBV, correct results are obtained and results of applying 10KHz, 20KHz and 50KHz input are compared and the correct values are obtained.

An Intelligent Agent System using Multi-View Information Fusion (다각도 정보융합 방법을 이용한 지능형 에이전트 시스템)

  • In this paper, we design an intelligent agent system with the data mining module and information fusion module as the core components of the system and investigate the possibility for the medical expert system. In the data mining module, fuzzy neural network, OFUN-NET analyzes multi-view data and produces fuzzy cluster knowledge base. In the information fusion module and application module, they serve the diagnosis result with possibility degree and useful information for diagnosis, such as uncertainty decision status or detection of asymmetry. We also present the experiment results on the BI-RADS-based feature data set selected form DDSM benchmark database. They show higher classification accuracy than conventional methods and the feasibility of the system as a computer aided diagnosis system.

  • In this paper, a parallel processing system is proposed for improving the processing speed of image related applications. The proposed parallel processing system is fully synchronous SIMD computer with pipelined architecture and consists of processing elements and a multi-access memory system. The multi-access memory system is made up of memory modules and a memory controller, which consists of memory module selection module, data routing module, and address calculating and routing module, to perform parallel memory accesses with the variety of types: block, horizontal, and vertical access way. Morphological filter had been applied to verify the parallel processing system and resulted in faithful processing speed.

An Effective Evolvable Hardware Design using Module Evolution (모듈진화를 이용한 효율적인 진화 하드웨어 설계)

  • Recently Evolvable Hardware (EHW) is widely studied to design effective hardware circuits that can reconfigure themselves according to the environment. However, it is still difficult to apply for complicated circuits because the search space increases exponentially as the complexity of hardware increases. To remedy this problem, this paper proposes a method to evolve complex hardware with a modular approach. The comparative experiments of some digital circuits with the conventional evolutionary approach indicate that the proposed method yields from 50 times to 1,000 times faster evolution and more optimized hardware.

  • 최근 들어 스마트폰이 급격하게 보급됨에 따라 스마트폰을 이용하여 상대방의 위치를 확인하는 응용 프로그램이 많이 개발되고 있다. 현재 운영중인 위치 추적 서비스는 두 사람이 스마트폰을 소지하고 있는 경우의 서비스 형태와 한 사람만 스마트폰을 소지하고 있는 경우의 서비스 형태로 분류된다. 우리는 스마트폰과 스마트폰 간의 위치 정보 교환을 통해 상대방의 위치를 찾는 방식이 아닌 스마트폰과 GPS모듈 간의 위치 정보 교환을 통하여 어린이나 애완견의 위치를 찾을 수 있도록 GPS 모듈을 개발하고 이 모듈과 통신하는 스마트폰 앱을 개발하였다. 개발된 GPS 모듈은 위치 정보를 받아 전달하는 기능만 가지므로 스마트폰에 비해 매우 저렴하게 구성할 수 있어서 적은 경비로 상대방을 찾을 수 있으며 공중망 대신 무선랜 망을 통해 위치정보를 전달하게 설계되어 추가적인 통신 비용이 들지 않는 장점을 가진다. 하지만 위치추적 서비스가 무선랜 망이 구축된 제한된 구역에서만 가능하다는 단점이 있다. 개발된 위치추적 서비스 방식은 시장이나 놀이공원 같은 특수한 지역에서 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • Object-Oriented design method decomposes the program into object that establish the relationship between objects. It is the technique of object centered decomposition unlike function oriented legacy system. Since existing Object- Oriented design method doesn't fully explain of the design method of module and decomposition, and need to implement the Object-Oriented software as a total system init. It has many problems that whole object design method and application programs should be analyzed for the understanding an Object-Oriented software component. Therefore, this study provides a procedure for Object-Oriented module design and criteria of decomposition to practically support the complex and large system development. Futhermore, it shows a consistency between design model and implementation through a case study applying these module decomposition criteria to the real system.

  • An information system to manage leveling data efficiently is presented. The system is consisted of input, adjustment, and query/answer module. The input module manipulating leveling data is based on the chain structure. The adjustment module adjusts the abservations by least squares method, and tests outlier by Baarda's data snooping method. The query/answer module serves user with the height and location of bench marks. In this system, the efficiency of works was increased as a result of removing the boring routine by applying the characteristics of leveling data. If necessary, for the special purpose, the system is expanded easily by appending some pertinent unit modules.

Low Conversion Loss and High Isolation W-band MMIC Mixer Module (낮은 변환 손실 및 높은 격리 특성의 W-band MMIC 믹서 모듈)

  • In this paper, we report on a high performance 94 GHz MMIC mixer module using 0.1-um metamorphic high electron mobility transistors (MHEMTs). A modified resistive mixer with a RF amplifier was proposed in this work for low conversion loss and high LO-RF isolation. The MMIC mixer module was fabricated using a MMIC chip and CPW-waveguide transitions. The fabricated mixer chip and module showed a low conversion loss of 6.3 dB and 9.5 dB, and LO-RF isolations of 24.8 and 30.4 dB at 94 GHz, respectively. This results are superior to those of previously W-band (75-110 GHz) MMIC mixers.
