  • Fire is a disaster of uncertainty, but since it is an artificial disaster essentially, this study is to emphasize that prevention and suppression of fire should be done more efficiently to develop the national love and trust of fire fighting. And it examines small neighboring living facilities which can be the typical dead ground of fire fighting based on researcher's experiences, intuition and related materials. The main course of the study defines the concept of fire fighting administration, dead ground and small neighboring living facilities. compares and analyzes fire fighting at small neighboring living facilities and the whole fire fighting cases and divides the causes of dead ground of fire fighting into preventive administration and suppressive administration sides. Those causes were resulted from discrepancies of political and social structures, but some of them can be improved depending on firemen's efforts. In addition, the means available for preventing the dead ground of fire fighting based on analyzed causes are suggested. Institutional approaches should be consulted with related agencies and legalized, but most managerial approaches can be introduced easily. Other means are approached for PR.

  • In this paper, we propose the parser structure to realize the encoder which is standardized encoding rules to code and store the medical waveform such as an electrocardiogram or an blood pressure in aviation emergency medical service. To design the encoder based on the MDER, the effect on the scope of each tag should be considered. we design the parser with the root property which is to clarify the effect of scope between tags. the presented parser is implemented and compared with the other structures.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing the intention of the reuse in patients admitted in university hospital emergency medical center. Method: The participants were 253 patients admitted to a niversity hospital emergency medical center. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Patient satisfaction with nursing care service and switching cost were positively correlated with reuse by patients while the perceived risk was negatively correlated. As levels of satisfaction with nursing care services and switching cost increase, intention of reuse increases. Satisfaction with nursing care service, switching cost and perceived risk in emergency medical center influence intention to reuse and explain 68.8% of total variation of intention to reuse. Conclusion: Findings provide strong empirical evidence for importance of atient satisfaction with nursing care service, the switching costs and the perceived risk in explaining the intention of reuse an emergency medical center.

  • Purpose : This study was to analyze the demand for emergency ambulance service and to characterize the factors associated with the demand. Method : The basis for the model was from the actual demand for public emergency ambulance and socioeconomic and geographic characteristics. Multiple regression analyses were done for the related characteristics of public ambulance service. Result : The model explained total demand with a high degree of accuracy : the coefficient of determination($R^2=0.96$). For the regression, the set of variables indicative of low socioeconomic status were all significant. It showed the inappropriate use of public ambulance system. Public ambulance demand increased in higher housing density, low income, male unemployment and female labor force. Conclusion : The demand for public ambulances appeared to be highly predictable, using a simple linear model employing socioeconomic variables, quality of service variables, and land use variables. Low-income families tended, to use the public ambulance system more often than higher income. Area having elderly people or children also made many calls. Estimated demand calls were stable and had a tendency to be similar incident types.

  • In this paper, aim to suggest the medical information wireless transmission system to provide the mobility of medical service by means of wireless area network which makes it possible, home or at a long range, to check and oversee the state of patients, and to can out a simulation. The proposed method converts medical information to digital data in an emergency and sends them to mobile terminals such as PDAs to make possible swift first aid. The simulation took advantage of the OFDM transmission method based on IEEE 802.1la in order to send reliable medical information in mobile wireless channel environment, and analyzed the system performance by applying convolution encoding to transmit reliable information in AWGN and 3-ray mobile multipath fading channel environment.

  • The AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is not evaluated for spatial accuracy and temporal availability even if it is located within a building or a specific area that needed necessary to partition by spatial analysis and location allocation analysis. As a result of the analysis, the spatial analysis was performed using the existing public data of AED with applied the GIS location analysis method. A public institution (119 safety center, police box) was selected as a candidate for a public AED base that can operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year according to the characteristics of each residential area. In addition, Thiessen Polygons were created for each candidate site and divided by regions. In the analysis of the service was analyzed regional in terms of accessibility to emergency medical services in consideration of the characteristics of AED, that emergency vehicles could arrive within 4 minutes of the time required for emergency medical treatment in most areas of the study area, but it did not areas outside of the city center. As a result, It was found that the operation of the AED base service center centered on vehicles of public institutions is effective for responding to AED patients at night and weekend hours. 19 Safety Center under and police box the jurisdiction of Daegu City to establish an AED service center for public institutions, location-based distance, attribute analysis, and minimization of overlapping areas that the method of using a vehicle appeared more efficient than using the existing walking type AED.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this secondary data analysis study was to compare what factors influenced individual's satisfaction with emergency medical services (EMS). Methods: Data were obtained from the Korea Health Panel Survey 2013 with 20,641 participants. A total sample of emergency room (ER) users (n=1,709) aged 20 and over were selected and divided into two age groups, one for 1,046 adults and the other for 663 elderly. Participants' responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test and logistic regression. Results: Among adults and elderly who were transferred to other hospitals instead of being admitted or returned to their homes reported less satisfaction (${\chi}^2=10.18$, p=.006). Further, the adults who perceived their arrival to the ER as not delayed (${\chi}^2=3.74$, p=.049) or visited the ER for treatment for illness (${\chi}^2=5.32$, p=.021) reported more satisfaction than those who perceived their ER service being delayed or visited the ER for accident or poisoning. The elderly who visited ER by non-ambulance reported higher satisfaction than those who arrived by ambulance (${\chi}^2=14.15$, p<.001). Conclusion: In both adults and the elderly, satisfaction of EMS can be increased by avoiding transferring patients to other hospital. For adults to be satisfied with EMS, efficient and rapid EMS might be needed to avoid delay in ER arrival, especially for adults with accidents or poisoning.

  • U-Healthcare is one of the major applications in ubiquitous sensor network. U-Healthcare has potential to become a critical service for the people who immediately require emergency ambulatory attention. This paper describes about the real time pulse monitoring and reporting system, consisting of two components: thus, the one is a reliable bio-sensor that continuously monitors the pulse information of the subject, and the other is the automatic transfer system that transmits pulse information to both his/her family and hospital care system through the Base Station. In the hospital, this bio-information can be used to treat the patient accordingly. I designed the pulse information monitored by a bio-sensor module that transfers the pulse information to both the Base Station and the central monitoring system through transmitting protocols such as Zigbee and TCP/IP, as well as designed the architecture of information packets for the corresponding protocols. Furthermore, the central monitoring system automatically parses the pulse information of the subject into the web database server, which can continuously provides the real time information and status of the subject via an internet browser to the clients who are family members of the subject and the authenticated medical care personnel as well.

  • In this paper, a novel Internet-of-things (IoT) based telecare system is proposed to provide high-quality care services to silver generations. It consists of various sensor nodes including activity sensors, wearable emergency pagers, emergency telephone as a home gateway, and a server as a telecare service platform. Especially, an activity index as a qualification method is presented to analyze the activities of daily living. By using the activity index, the daily/weekly/monthly activity information can be obtained, from which we infer the activity pattern, notice the abrupt change of the activity, and take appropriate actions in abnormal situations.
