We propose a new method to reduce the complexity of excitation codebook search. The preselected excitation pulses by the coarse search method can be updated to pulses with higher quality performance measure. The excitation pulses can arbitrarily be deleted and inserted among the searched pulses until the overall performance achieves. If we use this excitation pulse search method in AMR-WB, the complexity required for excitation codebook search can be reduced to half the original method while the output speech maintains equal speech quality to a conventional method.

무선 전자상거래 시대가 도래하고 있다. PC에서처럼 이동전화기로도 상품을 검색하고 주문할 수 있게 되는 것이다. 이제까지 이동전화기는 음성통화를 위한 것이었지 정보를 검색하거나 상거래를 하기 위한 도구는 아니었다. 그러나 통신기술의 발달로 이동통신으로도 대량의 데이터를 빠르게 주고 받을 수 있게 됐다. 바로 IMT-2000 이라는 새로운 이동통신기술 때문이다.

The purpose of this paper is constructed a HEEAAS(Human Emotional Expression Animaion System), which is an animation system to show both the face and the body motion from the inputted voice about just 4 types of emotions such as fear, dislike, surprise and normal. To implement our paper, we chose the korean young man in his twenties who was to show appropriate emotions the most correctly. Also, we have focused on reducing the processing time about making the real animation in making both face and body codes of emotions from the inputted voice signal. That is, we can reduce the search time to use the binary search technique from the face and body motion databases, Throughout the experiment, we have a 99.9% accuracy of the real emotional expression in the cartoon animation.

원화자로부터 목표 화자의 음성으로 변환을 위해서는 음운 및 피치변환이 이루어져야 한다. 원 음성과 목표 음성 신호 사이에 따른 발성길이, 크기 및 피치 등의 운율 특성은 화자의 개인성 및 발성문장의 의도를 나타내는 주요 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 음성 변환을 수행하기 위하여 발성된 음성의 강세구(phrase)단위의 피치 검출을 통하여 템플릿을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 우선 한국어의 운율구에 대한 정보가 필요한 것인지, 한국어는 어떤 운율 구조를 갖는지에 대하여 알아본다. 마지막으로 어떻게 연속음성으로부터 한국어에 적당한 운율구 단위를 나눌 것인지, 즉 자동 세그멘테이션 및 레이블링에 대하여 분석한다. 또한 논문에서는 한국어 문장음성의 운율구를 강세구와 억양구로 나누고 육안으로 표시한 운율구 단위를 기준으로 이 운율구 단위에 적합한 특징을 추출하여 패턴을 작성한다.

본 논문은 일반 웹페이지를 음성인식이 가능한 웹페이지로 전환하고, 이 페이지가 사용 될 수 있는 웹서비스를 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 구현한 시스템은 웹서비스 소비자와 웹서비스 제공자로 구성되어 있다. 웹서비스 소비자는 다음에 설명하는 두개의 웹서비스 제공자를 호출하는 기능과 재구성된 웹페이지외 xml 문서를 저장하는 기능, xml 문서로부터 사용자의 음성과 매핑되는 URL을 검색하는 기능을 포함하고 있다. 웹서비스 제공자는 웹페이지를 변환하는 웹서비스 제공자와 음성인식 웹서비스 제공자이다. 웹페이지 변환 웹서비스 제공자는 일반 웹페이지를 분석하여 필요한 태그를 변환하는 기능과 하이퍼링크 값인 URL을 추출하는 기능으로 구성되어 있다. 사용자의 음성을 분석하고 인식하는 음성인식기는 기존의 연구에서 구현된 음성인식 웹서비스 제공자를 이용하였다.

본고에서는 최근 스마트폰 등에서 사용자에게 편리한 인터페이스 수단으로 활용되고 있는 음성인식 기술에 대하여 알아본다. 음성인식 기술은 컴퓨터가 인간의 말을 알아듣는 기술로서 50년 이상의 연구개발 역사를 가지고 있다. 그간 꾸준한 기술개발과 상용화 시도를 통하여 지속적인 발전을 이루어왔으며 최근 들어 스마트폰 활성화에 따라 관심도가 급속히 높아지고 있는 분야이다. 음성인식 기술은 언어와 관련된 기술이니만큼 기술측면과 시장측면에서의 특수성이 있으며 이를 충분히 고려한 연구개발전략이 수립되어야 한다. 현재, 구글, 애플, 마이크로소프트 등 세계적인 IT 선도기업이 음성인식 기술 개발에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있으며 특히 스마트폰 환경에서의 음성인식 응용 서비스인 음성검색, 자동통역, 인공지능 개인비서 등을 시작하며 본격적인 기술, 시장 선점 경쟁에 돌입하였다. 이들 서비스에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 이에 따른 시사점 및 국내 대응현황에 대해 알아본다.

신성장동력산업용 음성인식 기술은 지능형 로봇, 텔레매틱스, 홈네트워크, 차세대 PC, 디지털 콘텐츠 검색 등에 음성인식 기술을 적용하기 위한 것이다. 음성인식 기술은 사람이 일상생활 속에서 사용하는 단말기들의 제어나 정보 서비스를 마우스나 키보드를 사용하지 않고, 사람이 갖는 가장 친화적이면서 편리한 의사소통 도구인 목소리를 사용하여 원하는 단말기의 제어나 정보 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있도록 지원하는 기술을 말한다. 본 고에서는 음성인식 기술의 발전과정을 통한 음성인식 기술의 발전 동향에 대해서 설명하고, 신성장동력산업 분야의 인터페이스로 음성인식 기술을 적용한 핵심 요소 기술에 대한 개발 동향과 응용 사례에 대해서 기술한다.

Code Excited Linear Prediction(CELP) speech coders exhibit good performance at data rates below 4.8 kbps. This major drawback of CELP type coders is required much computation. In this paper, we propose a new pitch search method that preserves the quality of the CELP vocoder with reducing complexity. In the pitch searching, we detect the segments of high correlation by a simple preprocessing, and then carry out the pitch searching only for the segments obtained by the preprocessing. By using the proposed method, we can get approximately $77\%$ complexity reduction in the pitch search.

The SMS(Short Message Service) in Mobile phone is a service that a text message by 80byte is transmitted and received. Recently it's used instead of voice calls. In this paper, We investigate how you take advantage of the SMS for searching information without simply as a means of voice call, and how much efficiency does the SMS have in Location Information Retrieval Services on LBS(Location-based service). Based on the previous topics, we design the information retrieval system using SMS for solveing the rates issue by existing wireless Internet access, and propose the possibility as new forms of content services.

Code Excited Linear Prediction(CELP) vocoder exhibits good performance at data rates below 4.8 kbps. The major drawback to CELP type coders is their large amount of computation. In this paper, we propose a new pitch search method that preserves the quality of the CELP vocoder with reduced complexity. The basic idea is to restrict the pitch searching range by estimating the preliminary pitches. Applying the proposed method to the CELP vocoder, we can get approximately 87% complexity reduction in the pitch search.
