최근에 음성언어장애에 대한 언어치료사의 평가 및 치료 활동이 활발히 이루어지고 있으나, 음성평가 기준 및 치료 자료가 충분치 않은 것이 현실이다. 음성 평가를 실시할 때에도 각 치료실마다 음성 평가에 사용하는 장비가 달라 결과물의 해석에 다소 차이가 있으며, 또한 같은 장비를 사용함에도 불구하고 음성 자료를 수집하는 방법에 있어서 표준화된 절차 및 자료에 따라 평가를 하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 표준화된 측정절차에 대한 요구는 개인적인 기준으로 좌우될 수 있는 주관적인 평가에서는 더욱 절실하다. 음성의 지각적 평가에서 중요한 측면 중에 하나는 음성의 질에 정확한 판단 및 이에 대한 자료공유 및 정보교환이다. 현재 음성의 질에 대한 측정평가를 위해 제일 많이 사용되고 있는 방법 중 하나가 GRBAS 방법이 간편하여 임상적으로 많이 사용하나 음성의 질에 대한 세밀한 평가를 하는 데는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 음질을 평가하는데 있어서 자주 사용되는 음질 용어에 대한 우리말 용어를 통일의 필요성의 시급한 실정에 기초하여 이를 대표할 수 있는 음성샘플 자료의 구축마련을 위한 일종의 발제이다. 이러한 작업을 통해 각 음성 및 언어치료실에서 음성의 질에 대한 청지각적 평가에 공통 기준을 마련하고, 임상교육 적인 목적으로 청지각적 훈련 자료로 이용이 가능할 수 있으리라 사료된다. Subjective voice evaluation is necessary and important to assess the voice disorders in addition to objective voice evaluation. Subjective voice evaluation is divided into examiner and examinee subjective voice assessment. The examiner assessment represents perceptual judgment to the patient's voice such as GRBAS scale, Buffalo voice profile, consensus auditory perceptual evaluation of voice (CAPE- V) and so on. The examinee assessment consists of indirect method including voice handicap index (VHI), voice outcome survey (VOS), voice symptom scale (VoiSS), voice related quality of life (V-ROQL) and direct method which is called patient's self-subjective voice rating. This review article describes a general rule, advantages and pitfalls about GRBAS scale, VHI and patient's self-subjective voice rating which are presently most representative voice assessment tools.

배경 : 음성평가시 그 음질을 파악하기 위한 검사 중 주관적 검사로서 많이 쓰이는 것은 GRBAS 척도에 의한 청인지적 4단계 평정이고, 객관적 검사로서 널리 쓰이고 있는 검사 도구는 CSL 중 MDVP이다. 이중 GRBAS 검사는 평가자의 고도의 숙련도를 요구하며, MDVP에 의한 음성평가는, 나타난 결과에 대한 정확한 해석을 요구한다. 목적 : 이에, 1차적으로 음성과용 환자를 대상으로 하여, GRBAS 척도에 의한 청인지적 음성평가 결과와 CSL 중 MDVP에 의한 객관적 음성평가 결과에 대한 상관성을 비교, 분석해 보고, 이를 통하여 청인지적 음성평가에 숙련되지 못한 평가자가 객관적 검사도구를 통하여 음성평가를 하고자 할 때 주목해야 할 변인들에 관하여 알아보고자 한다. 객관적인 검사도구인 Dr. Speech Science(DSS)의 음성평가 결과가 갖는 의미를 알아보고자 이 연구를 하였다. 성대결절환자 여자 성인 25명을 대상으로 DSS를 이용한 음성평가와 청각심리적 검사방법인 GRBAS와의 관계를 비교 분석하였다. 청각심리적 검사인 GRBAS의 0, 1, 2, 3의 각 Grade에 따라 DSS의 음성평가의 결과와 비교하였다. DSS의 음성평가 결과로서 Grade가 0, 1, 2인 경우 총 15례중 1례를 제외한 모든 경우에 있어서 hoarseness, harshness, breathiness항목에서 정상소견을 나타냈으며 Grade가 3인 경우에는 총 10례 중 6례에서 hoarseness, harshness, breathiness항목에서 정상소견을 나머지 4례에서는 hoarseness에서 slight한 정도를 보여주었다.

음성언어처리기술의 응용이 활발해져 감에 따라 각국에서는 이들 기술의 성능을 객관적으로 평가하기 위한 국제적인 협력활동이 활발하다. 본고에서는 이들 음성 DB 및 음성 입출력 평가법 관련 국제협력활동을 소개하고 국내에서도 이에 적극적으로 대응하기 위한 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of semi-closed vocal training-based Vocal Aerobic Treatment on the voice improvement of soprano. Study subject was one soprano who appealed to the suffering of her voice problem due to vocal cord nodule. A study method of conducting pre/post acoustic evaluation and subjective voice evaluation to compare the measures was used; Vocal Aerobic Treatment was carried out twice a week for a total of 32 session. In the acoustic evaluation, MDVP (multi-dimensional voice program) and VRP (voice range profile) were used to evaluate the pitch, voice quality, and voice range; in the subjective voice evaluation, SVHI (singing voice handicap index) was used to assess voice satisfaction. As a result of the pitch evaluation, the soprano maintained a proper Fo. As a result of the voice quality evaluation, the jitter, shimmer, and the noise harmonic ratio numbers decreased compared to the numbers shown before the treatment. As a result of the voice range evaluation, the scope of the range was broadened, with the number of semitone increasing from 30 to 35. As for the subjective voice evaluation, the result of the total score obtained after the survey report divided by the number of questions showed a decrease from 3.6 to 0.6. The soprano herself reported of having a minor extent of a voice problem. The summary of the above results reflects that Vocal Aerobic Treatment is useful in the voice improvement of vocalists However, as this study is case research regarding the Vocal Aerobic Treatment effect on one soprano, further research on the treatment effect covering many other vocalists is necessary. Also, there is a need for follow-up studies regarding voice management and voice treatment program on not only the vocalists but also the voice users in many other professions.

The performance of the speech recognition engine is one of the most critical elements of the in-vehicle speech recognition interface. The objective of this paper is to develop an automated platform for running performance tests on the in-vehicle speech recognition engine. The developed platform comprise of main program, agent program, database management module, and statistical analysis module. A simulation environment for performance tests which mimics the real driving situations was constructed, and it was tested by applying pre-recorded driving noises and a speaker's voice as inputs. As a result, the validity of the results from the speech recognition tests was proved. The users will be able to perform the performance tests for the in-vehicle speech recognition engine effectively through the proposed platform.
