This study investigated the recognition and preference of foreign students to Tangpyeongchae, in order to suggest strategy for developing Tangpyeongchae acceptable for them. Questionnaires translating in Chinese and English were given to 75 Chinese and American university students in Chungnam province. A total of 70 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS software(version 12.0). The students were asked about impression, recognition, preference and factors for improving acceptability of Tangpyeongchae. The respondents consisted 51(72.9%) Chinese and 19(27.1%) Americans. This research was conducted from May 11 to May 18, 2012. The results of this study were as follows : Impression after eating Tangpyeongchae got better scores than first impression by Chinese students, whereas there were no significant differences in Americans' impression. The main reason for good impression after eating it was 'good taste'. The Chinese and Americans' mean overall acceptance scores of Tangpyeongchae were 4.06 and 3.86 on 5-point scale, respectively, showing that they had high acceptance for Tangpyeongchae. Most of the Chinese students chose 'taste' as the most important factor for enhancing the popularity for Tangpyeongchae. It proposed that the control of taste may be a main factor, and then need to develop the sauce and seasonings which is suitable for Chinese taste for developing Chinese favorite Tangpyeongchae. Most of American students answered the texture should be improved for Americans' preference.

In particular, as the current educational institutions are becoming more competitive, universities need to make efforts to survive the fierce competition by improving their service qualities. In this situation, this study was conducted to confirm the effect of international students' evaluation of university service quality on university loyalty through university satisfaction and service engagements, And several implications can be suggested as follows. First, the dimensions of university service quality were identified as important factors that had a great influence on the university satisfaction of international students. Among the service quality dimensions, support services related to international students were found to be the most important variable in university satisfaction. The school's efforts to solve the inconvenience of international students and the grievances of students who feel difficulties that their own students do not feel are considered a very important factor in the satisfaction of international students. Second, it was found that international students' class engagement or friendship engagement can be increased through satisfaction with the school, and eventually, the increased engagements affect university loyalty. In particular, it has been verified that for international students, the loyalty of the school can be increased by establishing friendships with students from various countries and participating in various school programs. Finally, according to the purposes of studying abroad, the difference was confirmed between the groups studying for academic development and better employment and the group employed for overseas experience and immigration.

Recently, at university, the number of international students from China is increasing, and we want to improve their adaptation to college life, In this research, we applied a fusion program of the tea ceremony to respect and to enhance true self through tea culture for Chinese students and seeing the tea ceremony application in Chinese. The targeting 10 international students in T University of P City have participated directly to the tea ceremony experience program once a week for 4 sessions, and watching the tea ceremony app twice or more everyday for 30 days. As the result, the average stress score of cultural adaptation of Chinese students before participating in the program was 98.5 (SD 9.63), and after participating in the program that was 93.9 (SD 9.67). And it was confirmed that the stress score level of cultural adaptation before and after participation in the program was significantly different (Z=6.702***, P=.000). Therefore, this program can be effective to reduce the cultural adaptation stress to Chinese students.

In this paper it is considered that international students who are studying at Korean universities have difficulty in completing their studies while adjusting to Korean university life. The reason for this is that most international students enter university but they are lack of liberal arts knowledge such as Korean language skills and foundation studies necessary for their major studies. However, most universities focus on teaching Korean language as a liberal arts course for international students. Therefore It suggests that the most important and urgent required is for international students to improve their liberal arts knowledge as well as their Korean language skills. Furthermore, this paper argues order for international students who do not have enough liberal arts such as Korean language proficiency or basic science to study successfully, a systematic liberal arts curriculum and teaching methods for international students should be presented and applied in the field. Accordingly, this paper shows an example of the class operated by applying the knowledge-based Korean language teaching method to the cultural class, which is a dedicated subjects for international students, and proved its effectiveness.

This convergence study was combined research on identifying the effect of health behavior and awareness of Korean wave (Hallyu) on academic adjustment of foreign students living in Korea, and providing support for future foreign students to easily adjust to Korean culture. The subjects for this study are foreign students attending G University and were studied from April 2nd to 30th,2018. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS statistical program. According to the multiple regression analysis which was conducted to analyze the effect of health behavior and awareness of Korean wave on academic adjustment of foreign students, the older and the longer the stay, the poorer the academic adjustment; on the other hand, the higher the frequency of exercise and awareness of Korean wave, the better the academic adjustment. Further, it is necessary to address plans and measures to develop academic adjustment of foreign students by providing health care programs and Korean wave culture programs on sustainable health education and sports.

The purpose of this case study is to examine and compare the basic characteristics of quality assurance systems of the 3 leading countries in international higher education: Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands. The comparative analysis of the three cases demonstrates that, taking a more commercial stance on the international education service market, quality assurance systems of the 3 countries aim at facilitating effective promotion of student recruitment and enhancing their national brand image as advanced knowledge society. Consequently, rules and regulations of their systems are concerned primarily with strengthening institutional capacities to educate international students effectively, and, ultimately, improving their learning experiences in the host countries. Compared to these foreign cases, the newly-adopted quality assurance system in Korea places too much emphasis on internationalization process itself, thereby neglecting evaluation of educational capabilities of higher education institutions. Further implications for improvement of the Korean International Education Quality Assurance System(IEQAS) are discussed.

교육의 국제화로 인해 국내 대학에 재학 중인 유학생의 수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 그러나 유학생들이 학습 자원을 얻기 위한 가장 큰 정보원인 대학도서관은 유학생들을 위한 다국어 지원 서비스를 충분히 제공하고 있지 않은 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대학도서관에서 제공하는 서비스 중 다국어 지원이 가능한 서비스 요인들을 선정하고 해당 요인들이 유학생들의 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 선행연구를 바탕으로 사서/직원의 서비스(응답능력, 태도), 도서관 시설 이용(시설 안내, 장비 사용), 자료 접근 및 이용(홈페이지, 서가 배치), 이용자 서비스(이용자교육, 기타서비스)를 요인을 도출하였고 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 도서관 시설 이용이 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있었으며 사서/직원의 서비스와 이용자 서비스 또한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The authors of this study tried to explore the current status of the levels of information literacy of foreign students in Korea where many foreign students, mainly from several Asian countries, have been moving continuously into various universities. To do this, a survey was conducted of 202 Chinese students enrolled in universities in Busan and its neighboring area. They responed that their level of information literacy was slightly above the middle range and that the fields of 'information ethics' and 'information communication technology' were relatively high whereas 'information production, communication and sharing' and 'information investigation and search' were relatively low.

This study derives the suggestions for promotion of internationalization of universities. The reasons for increase in number of international students were analyzed and present condition of international students has been investigated. Research and analysis of International students support program of government was performed. Moreover, the questionnaire was Prepared based on literature review of national and international policies for the support on international students and the survey was conducted on international students studying in engineering programs at graduate level. Finally, suggestions for government, university and education institutions have been made for the improvement of international student support programs to promote internationalization of universities.

In the era of globalization, the number of international students are rapidly increasing. Korea is no exception. For a long time Korea has been one of the major countries in terms of students' outward migration at university-level, but recently the inward migration is also increasing so as to change the situation. First, this paper deals with theoretical aspects of international students' flows and reviews recent research achievements on those. Second, the paper describes the overall condition of international students in Korea using statistical data. Finally, this paper examines characteristics and backgrounds of international students in Korea.
