The purpose of this study is to understand interrelation between design thinking system and creativity, and to analyze designer how to develop personal conception and attitude in interior design through the method of analogy for signification. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: 1. Introduction of general theories about analogical grammar and signification of analogy. 2. Investigating possibility of analogy as creative thinking method in interior design for meaning development. 3. Establishment of design process model for analogical design based on the case study through the design field. That is, concept and process of analogical design is shown objectively by application in collective residential design as commercial product strategy. Through this process, this study presents possibility of giving meaning in interior space through consilience between source and target of analogy. Finally, it examines analogical method is major strategy for ideation and mechanism for meaning development in interior design.

Analogy in problem solving is similarity-based reasoning facilitated by verbal and visual operation. This similarity-based reasoning generally supports initial phase of idea search. Therefore, this study intends to infer the types of problem solving by tracing the analogy use of verbal and visual representation through a experimental research. According to the result of this research, the types of problem solving by analogy are classified into 'evolving', 'divergent', and 'poor conversion' type. Firstly, 'evolving type' is distinguished between 'combination type' associated different contents to develope a new design and 'transformation type' associated similar words and sketches to be continuously revised and developed. In these types usually structural analogy rather than surface analogy is used. Secondly, in 'divergent type' associated words or sketches are individually represented, and among them one design solution is selected. In this type usually surface analogy is used. Thirdly, in 'poor conversion type' interaction between verbal representation and visual representation does not go on smoothly, and the generation of idea is poor. In here surface analogy is mostly used. These findings could form the basis of skill development of idea generation and conversion in design education.

Rule in union of each elements and rule of forms about picture image. 3) Mathematical structure analysis to search a unified principle at the balanced arrangement and rule of forms it analigized the standard the rule of forms. it analigized the standard the rule of forms to body module of basic movement of protagonist and follower above basic forms of grid that is the basis of design system.
