Investigating the Effect of Value Characteristics of SNS Users on SNS Usage Motivation, Social Capital, and Usage Behavior (SNS 이용자의 가치체계의 특징이 SNS 이용동기, 사회적 자본, 이용행위 등에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study investigated how Schwartz' value system(1992) would interfere with SNS users' motivations and behavioral responses. The study result shows that values are characterized in terms of openness, mutual reciprocity, self enhancement, normative compliance, and security. Each of them exerted differential impact on SNS usage motives, social capital, ad response, and word-of-mouth, among others. The five values were used as an input for segmenting SNS users and clustering method produced four value segments; experience seeker, interdependent sympathizer, self enhancer, and norm-bound. Each value group not only influenced SNS perceptions and behavioral responses differently, but also showed a systematic relationship with SNS service types. The study findings demonstrate that Schwartz's value system provides a very useful theoretical basis for understanding the psychological mechanism underlying SNS usage.

The Consumer Acceptance of MP3-playing Clothing and Bio-Signal Sensing Clothing Considered in the Technology Acceptance Model (혁신기술수용모델의 관점에서 고찰한 MP3-playing 의류와 생체신호 센싱 의류의 수용도)

  • An analysis was carried out for this study to figure out if there exists any differences in the model consumers accept for commercialized MP3-playing clothing and bio-signal sensing clothing. To analyze the differences of the structural variables of the products types, t-test was conducted with SPSS 15.0 package and multi-group analysis with AMOS 5.0 to find out the differences of each path goes with product types in structural equation model. In analytical results of effective sample of 557 copies of questionnaire, consumers' were highly aware of MP3-playing clothing in perceived ease of use, while they were aware relatively high of bio-signal sensing clothing in perceived usefulness, attitudes, consumer acceptance. The perceived value which was input to find out consumers awareness about sale price of commercialized products, was proven to do very important moderating role in forming consumers' attitudes and acceptance intention. Besides, consumers showed a difference in path in accepting model goes with product types. In bio-signal sensing clothing case, 'the perceived usefulness$\rightarrow$attitudes' path which was backed up in MP3-playing clothing was rejected, and 'perceived value$\rightarrow$attitudes' path appeared relatively high with moderating role of perceived value higher than MP3-playing clothing. Considering the results above, as the smart clothing is in the initiative commercialization stage while consumers were in the inquiry stage into awareness or information necessary in the course of purchase decision-making, and so an effective commercialization strategy seems to be necessary.

  • The introduction of the Digital Economy has formed a new market producing and trading information. Depending on the current contexts, each user evaluates identical information differently. It is difficult, even though important, to create and deliver the information customized to individual users by using some factors as time, location, and their personal characteristics. Information value, therefore, could be influenced by the capability of information systems to delivery useful information based on individual contexts to the right user immediately at the right time. From this point of view, we argue mobile systems which are able to be aware of individual contexts and deliver contextual information in real time can improve information value easily than other systems can. This research presents the results of an empirical test about antecedents to mobile advertising value. Though context relevance doesn't influence directly mobile advertising value, it plays an important role enhancing information usefulness which has great influence on mobile advertising value. Moreover, to supply information connected with users' context overcomes the effect of irritation. Lastly, entertainment can improve mobile advertising value as satisfying user's hedonic desire beyond the information source supporting decision making.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a comprehensive research model that can explain potential customers' intentions to adopt and use VPA(Virtual Personal Assistants) devices. This study proposes and validates a new theoretical model that extends the perceived value theory. Partial least squares analysis is employed to test the research model and corresponding hypotheses on data collected from 313 survey samples. Perceived value, perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment are important factors affecting the adoption of VPA devices. To increase potential users' intention to use, VPA device manufacturers should not only focus on developing utilitarian functions but also fun features based on open development echo-system. This study is the important empirical attempt to examine user acceptance of VPA devices, as most of the prior literature has concerned analysis of usage patterns or technical features.

Study of the Technology Evaluation of Development of Environment-friendly Controlling Method of Mushroom (길항 미생물 HC5를 이용한 버섯의 친환경방제 기술개발의 가치평가)

  • This study evaluated the economic value of the development of an environment-friendly controlling method of mushroom using IRR and NPV. The environment-friendly controlling method of mushrooms was developed by the national institute of horticultural and herbal science in Korea rural development administration. This technology can be used to improve the efficiency and practicality of cultivation of mushroom. The research results show that the technological value of the development of an environment-friendly controlling method of mushroom was evaluated at 135.4 billion won (average), 182.6 billion won (maximum), and 88.1 billion won (minimum) based on the discount rate of 7.3%. The IRR was 1,958.5% - 4,054.4%, which was greater than the discount rate (6%~10%). The NPV was evaluated at 134.8 billion won (average), 218.1 billion won (maximum) and 87.5 billion won (minimum) based on the discount rate of 7.3%. Therefore, the economic validity of the development of an environment-friendly controlling method of mushrooms was identified by the results of a technology evaluation.

  • In this study, it was necessary to examine consumer acceptance attitudes from an in-depth and multifaceted perspective at a time when the need for chatbot services in various industrial fields is increasing and being activated in earnest. Accordingly, this study conducted a structural equation model to examine not only the structural relationship between ease, usefulness, and playfulness among the main functions of chatbot services and their acceptance attitudes, but also whether there is a mediating effect of service value in the relationship. As a result of the main study of this study, it was identified that the relationship between the ease, usefulness, and playfulness factors, which are the main functional sub-factors of the chatbot service, and their acceptance attitude and service value had a statistically static influence relationship. Based on these research results, the main research conclusions suggest that when companies in various fields provide chatbot services in the future, it is necessary to clearly determine the influencing factors that can affect the chatbot service acceptance attitude and provide these services. Through this, it is expected that the AI chatbot service will strengthen communication with consumers and establish itself as a customized and personalized counseling service.

Study on Factors Affecting Perceived Value and Intention to Use the Metaverse: Focusing on Differences between Metaverse Experienced and Non-Experienced (메타버스의 지각된 가치와 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 메타버스 유경험자와 무경험자의 차이를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the intention to use the Metaverse from various angles based on the Extended Technology Acceptance Model and Value-based Adoption Model. Specifically, we examined whether there is a difference in perception of the Metaverse and in factors affecting the intention to use the Metaverse between the Metaverse experienced and non-experienced. For this purpose, the variables were classified into the technical characteristics of the Metaverse (interactivity, content quality), perceived benefits (perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment), and perceived sacrifices (perceived risk, perceived complexity) and a survey was conducted with university students. The findings of this study indicate that the perceived interactivity, usefulness, and enjoyment of the Metaverse had a major impact on the intention to use the Metaverse for those without Metaverse experience, whereas enjoyment of the Metaverse had the greatest impact on the intention to use the Metaverse for those with Metaverse experience. Based on the study results, we provided marketing strategy implications for continuous growth and development of the Metaverse industry.

Appraisal or Re-Appraisal of the Japanese Colonial Archives and the Colonial City Planing Archives in Korea: Theoretical Issues and Practice (일제시기 총독부 기록과 도시계획 기록의 평가 혹은 재평가 - 이론적 쟁점과 평가의 실제 -)

  • In this paper, I applied known theories of appraisal and re-appraisal to the Japanese Colonial Archives and the Colonial City Planing Archives in Korea. The purpose of this application to some of sample archives was to develop a useful and effective approach to appraise the archives which were not appraised before they were determined to be "permanent" archives by the Japanese colonial officials. The colonial archives have lost their context and "chain of custody." A large portion of their volume also disappeared. Only thirty thousands volumes survived. The appraisal theories and related issues applied to and tested on these archives are; "original natures" of archives defined by Sir. Hillary Jenkinson, Schellenburg's information value appraisal theory, the re-appraisal theory based on economy of preservation and prospect for use of the archives, function-based appraisal theory and documentation theory, the special nature of the archives as unique, old and rare colonial archives, the intrinsic value of the archives, especially the city planing maps and drawings, and finally, the determination of the city planing archives as permanent archives according to the contemporary and modern disposal authority. The colonial archives tested were not naturally self-proven authentic and trustworthy records as many other archives are. They lost their chain of custody and they do not guarantee the authenticity and sincerity of the producers. They need to be examined and reviewed critically before they are used as historical evidence or any material which documented the contemporary society. Rapport's re-appraisal theory simply does not fit into these rare historical archives. The colonial archives have intrinsic values. Though these archives represent some aspects of the colonial society, they can not document the colonial society since they are just survived remains or a little part of the whole archives created. The functions and the structure of the Government General of Korea(朝鮮總督府) were not fully studied yet and hardly can be used to determine the archival values of the archives created in some parts of the colonial apparatus. The actual appraisal methods proved to be effective in the case of colonial archives was Schellenburg's information value appraisal theory. The contextual and content information of the colonial archives were analysed and reconstructed. The appraisal works also resulted in full descriptions of the colonial archives which were never described before in terms of archival principles.

  • It is highly required to evaluate the economic value of technology in many decision making of the technology management area, for example, technology acquisition, transfer, and investments. Also evaluating the performance of R&D objectively is very important subject in the public side. So, developing the objective technology evaluation system has much usefulness in practice. In many studies, the patent information has been suggested to the valid measurement for evaluation of technology. The purpose of this study is to explore the validity of patent information as a measurement of technology evaluation.

Growth Characteristics of Adenocaulon himalaicum according to microenvironments (주요 산채류인 멸가치의 미세환경에 따른 생육특성)

  • Moisture and quantum were measured to investigated out the growth characteristics of Adenocaulon himalaicum which is one of the important plants at the forest plants. The herbal medicines of Adenocaulon himalaicum known as one of the main mountain edible herbs have great value of resources according to the report that dopamine causing schizophrenia is greatly reduced with it. The moisture is a primary factor for the growth of Adenocaulon himalaicum. In this study we showed that the site with little change of temperature and under $200\;{\mu}mol\;s^{-1}m^{-2}$ quantum is suitable. Also, the maintenance of relative humidity over $50\%$ is a very important factor in the proliferation of shady spot plants.
