Pressure Pulsation Characteristics of a Multiple-Delivery Radial Piston Hydrulic Pump (다중 토출 레이디얼 유압 피스톤 펌프의 압력 맥동 특성)

  • In this study, the authors carried out experiments and numerical simulations in order to clarify the pressure pulsation characteristics in multiple-delivery rotating-cam and stationary-cylinder type radial piston pumps. Also, a tee filter was applied to the pump in order to mitigate the pressure pulsation. Through the experiments and simulations, it was known that pressure pulsation with a magnitude higher than 40% of the mean load pressure could occur in the pump used in the experiments. Moreover, it was confirmed that a tee filter designed in this study could effectively mitigate the pressure pulsation.

  • 유압베인 펌프는 소형으로 유량이 많으나, 발생압력 면에서는 피스톤식 펌프에 미치지 못하기 때문에 고압화에 대한 노력이 계속 되어져 왔다. 또한 자원화, 성에너지화의 일환으로 고압, 고효율, 장수명화에 대한 요구가 다른 형의 펌프, 모터와 더불어 더욱더 강력해 지고 있는 실정이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여는 베인펌프의 슬라이딩 부분, 특히 베인 선단부의 윤활 상태를 파악할 필요가 있다. 캠링에 대한 베인의 수직작용력을 파악하기 위하여는 베인 주위의 압력을 여러 위치에서 뿐만아니라 동시에 연속적으로 측정하지 않으면 안된다. 따라서 저자들은 압력평형형의 인트라베인식 유압베인 펌프를 이용하여 베인 주위 4개소의 비정상 압력을 특정하였다. 본 논문에서는 압력측정 결과를 기초로 하여 베인선단 슬라이딩부에 가하여지는 가중을 구하여 압력측정의 조건하에서의 베인과 캠링간의 윤활상태에 대하여 어떠한 윤활 이론을 적용할 것인가를 명확히 하고자함이 이 연구의 목적이다.

  • To improve the performance of the bent axis type axial piston pump driven by the tapered piston, it is necessary to know the driving characteristics and mechanism of the tapered piston and the cylinder block. Since each piston not only rotates on its axis and reciprocates in the cylinder bore, but also revolves around the axis of the driving shaft, it is difficult to analyze the driving mechanism theoretically. The theoretical mechanism far the bent axis type axial piston pump is studied by using the geometrical method. The driving range of the tapered piston is determined by theoretical equations. The results show that the cylinder block is driven by one tapered piston in a limited range and the core parameters such as driving factor of the piston and the ahead delay angle influenced performance of the bent axis type axial piston pump.

  • In this paper, a structural stability analysis of the swash plate hydraulic piston pump installed on hydraulic supply systems in marine vessels is presented. In order to verify the integrity of the pump design, a standard structural analysis technique based on the finite element method has been applied for various operating and boundary conditions. For the maximum operational torque (223 N·m) at 5°, 10°, and 15° of the swash plate angle, the maximum deformation, equivalent stress and safety factor are evaluated. The analytical results show that under current operating conditions, the structural reliability of the design has been confirmed.

  • The paper describes an approach for measuring delivery flow ripple generated by oil hydraulic axial piston pumps. In order to reduce pressure ripple which cause to undesirable noise. vibration and fatigue in hydraulic systems it is indispensible measure a delivery flow ripple from pumps. Since the flow ripple measurement of flow pumps is independent of the dynamic characteristics of the connected hydraulic circuit the measurement of flow ripple is most suitable for pump fluid-borne noise rating. The measurement of flow ripple with high frequencies from axial piston pumps is made by applying the remote instantaneous flow rate measurement method which is based on the dynamic characteristics between pressure and flow rate in hydraulic pipeline. The measured flow ripple waveforms are influenced by the configuration of V-shaped triangular relief groove in the valve plate. It can be seen that the appropriate relief groove in valve plate reduces the pressure and flow ripple amplitude and frequency spectrum for high harmonics.

  • Pressure fluctuation in the cylinder is one of the major sources on noise emission in oil hydraulic piston pumps. This paper reports an experimental study of pressure fluctuation characteristics in the cylinder of oil hydraulic piston pumps. We measured pressure fluctuation at BDC with delivery pressure, rotational speed. Because the pre-compression and the V-grooves in the valve plate is known of noise reduction, we investigated also the effect of pre-compression and V-grooves at the ends of the kidney ports with four types valve plates. We found that the pre-compression and the V-grooves in valve plate could reduce the noise of oil hydraulic piston pumps.

  • The regulator system has been modeled and combined to a swashplate type axial piston pump. Linear approximation has been performed for nonlinear coefficient terms of an axial piston pump-regulator model without significantly affecting accuracy. Based on the mathematical model of an axial piston pump-regulator system, a couple of characteristic curves of negative flow control and horsepower control are drawn, which show a good correlation with those of experimental results. So the simplified axial piston pump-regulator model in this paper is expected to be utilized not only for the design and analysis of hydraulic circuit of excavator but also for prevention of engine overload.
