Performance Characteristics of Electric Powertrain Parts for Power Split Type HEV at Steady Speed (Power Split Type HEV 차량 정속주행시 전기동력부품 성능특성)

  • This paper studied performance characteristics of hybrid automotive to replace existing fossil fuel vehicles. Specially, about power split type HEV that is T-HEV's drive system when a vehicle drives at steady speed, monitored both output of each engine, motor and generator and battery SOC (state of charge) and analyzed performance characteristic of power transmission system and electricity power parts. This study shows those that acquired and analyzed information from signals between HCU and each controller of actual T- vehicle. From this study, it is confirmed that each conditions of EV and HEV drive can be a improvement with respect to the fuel efficiency of vehicles.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전동력전달계의 진동특성을 해석하고 이를 설계자료로 이용하기 위하여, 계 전체의 유효강성행렬 (effective stiffness matrix)을 실험적으로 결정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 이것은 비교적 측정이 용인한 관성행렬이 알려져 있다고 가정한 경우 기존의 선형 모델링을 그대로 이용하고, 위의 모든 기계요소의 해석이 불가능한 강성들을 포함한 등가강성(equivalent stiffness)으로 구성된 계의 유효강성행렬을, 실험에 의해 얻어진 계의 여러 작동상황과 이에 따른 고유진동수에 매칭(matching)시켜 결정하는 것이다. 또한, 이의 검증을 위하여 유성기어와 클러치로 이루어진 가상의 동력전달계를 구성하고 이의 시뮬레이션 결과를 이용하여, 유효강성 결정법을 통해 얻어진 등가강성들과 실제값들의 비교함으로서 그 신뢰도를 추정하였다.

Comparative Study of Different Drive-train Driving Performances for the Input Split Type Hybrid Electric Vehicle (입력분기방식 하이브리드 전기자동차의 구동계 구조에 따른 동력 성능 비교 분석)

  • In this study, the performances of five input split type hybrid electric vehicle sub-drivetrains were analyzed. The five sub-drivetrains consist of chain, helical gears and planetary gears. For the analyzing above five sub-drivetrains, the mathematical equations were derived. From the analysis, we found that the sub-drivetrain with chain shows slower acceleration performance and larger energy consumption on the city driving. And, the sub-drivetrain with only helical gear shows smallest energy consumption on the city driving. If the sub-drivetrain can change its gear speed, it shows fastest acceleration performance, but it has largest energy consumption on the city driving due to its additional auxiliary components.

  • There is a merit a planetary gear set disperses a delivery load, and to decrease loss of friction and noise. But, in addition to meshing this internal and external gear simultaneously and phase difference by the tooth contact point and the time difference occurs asymmetric and symmetric sideband noise and vibration caused by the modulation in the vehicle. Existing planetary gear set research have progressed to reduce the cause of the sideband as run-out, pitch error and imbalance. In this paper presents a method for the design of the carrier phase difference by developing various theorys and experiments for gear noise.

  • In this paper, a new drive system(SHS) for hybrid electric vehicle is proposed. As dual rotor hybrid electric vehicle using planetary gearsets, the SHS has the advantages of both series and parallel systems. The output speed and torque of SHS can be determined at specific point regardless of the engine's operating point. When the size of generator which is used in SHS is same as in THS, the SHS has more activities of engine control due to the ability that is operated in lower speed range. To maximize the performance of system, we carried out optimization for the three parameters that are engine, motorl and motor2. As the result of the optimization, we confirmed the SHS is more preferable to THS in fuel consumption and acceleration area.

  • In recent years, vehicle manufacturers have steadily developed fuel saving technologies such as multi-speed automatic transmission. With such a background, the Hyundai-powertech have developed the new 6-speed rear wheel drive(RWD)automatic transmission for FR vehicles. Despite having six-speed, it has the same number of planetary gears as a previously used five-speed automatic transmission and fewer brakes and one-way clutches than the 5 A/T, meaning that it is light, compact, and inexpensive.   • Static analysis using hybrid finite element(FE) method has been applied to characterize the influence of position, runout and thickness errors of the sun, ring and planet on the bearing forces and critical tooth stress. Some guidelines for tolerance control to manage critical stress and bearing forces are deduced from the results. Carrier indexing error planet assembly and planet tooth thickness error are most critical to reduce planet bearing force and maximize load sharing as well as to reduce critical stresses. Sun and carrier bearing forces due to errors increase several times more than those of normal condition.

  • This study deals with the effect of the shot peening in SCM420H planetary gears. The hardness and roughness of the gear surface can be improved by shot blast and shot peening. there in, the shot peening techniques are welcomed especially as one of the physical surface improvement methods. The two treatments are used widely, because of the qualitative analysis of shot blast and shot peening has become possible and the surface treatment can be done with little costs compared with other surface improvement methods. Therefore, this study investigates the effects of shot blast and shot peening in surface shape. The fatigue strength test at a constant stress amplitude is performed by using an electrohydraulic serve-controlled pulsating tester. And fatigue test also explained characteristics of shot blast and shot peening of planetary gears.

Structural analysis of a planetary gear carrier in the slewing reducer for tower crane (타워크레인 선회감속기용 유성기어 캐리어의 구조해석)

  • In this paper the structural analysis of a planet carrier was carried out for the design optimization of a slewing reducer used in tower cranes. The stress changes of the planet carrier according to the tolerance of interference fit were investigated, and the strength was evaluated on the basis of the stress level. The analysis results showed that the tolerance of interference fit have an important influence on the stress level of the planet carrier. To guarantee the static safety of carrier, the tolerances of carrier pinhole and planet pin as well as loading level exerted on the planet carrier should be determined considered correctly.

풍력발전시스템용 증속기 신뢰성 확보 기술

  • 풍력발전시스템은 육상용에서 해상용으로 개발되며 대형화하고 있는 추세이다. 풍력발전시스템이 해상용 등으로 대형화되면서 유지, 보수에 높은 비용이 소요되고 이에 따라 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 요구가 더 커지고 있다. 증속기의 경우 고장 빈도도 낮지 않고, 고장 발생 시 심각도가 높아 신뢰성이 가장 높게 요구된다. 최근 증속기의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 연구 개발에서 수명에 가장 영항을 크게 미치는 조건으로 적용하중 영향에 대한 비토크 하중(non-torque load)과 유성기어열의 설계 인자로 취급되는 하중 분할(load sharing), 치면 하중 분포(face-load distribution) 그리고 이를 필수적으로 입증하고자 요구되는 시험/평가 기술에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.
