미국 디지털 유선방송 표준인 OpenCable 방식을 디지털유선방송 추진위원회에서 만장일치로 선정하여 정보통신부에 권고한 상태, 기술기준 정리 및 데이터 방송, Text Bed 관리 등의 업무를 추진위원호에서 수행할 예정임. 디지털 유선방송은 전송방식이 256QAM이 표준이므로, 최대 6MHz 대역내 다수의 HDTV 채널 수용이 가능할 것임. STB내에 OCAP Middleware가 탑재될 것이고 Web Browsing, Chatting, Email 등이 표준으로 되어 있고 양방향 데이터방송이 가능하므로, 현재의 단순한 방송위주의 유선방송에서 본격적인 방송 통신의 융합체로 새롭게 탄생할 것으로 예상됨

This study tried to examine the transfiguration process of cable broadcasting business in the early 1960s of Korea. Especially, on the basis of a critical mind of examining autonomy of cable broadcasting operator as agent, this paper examined not only the technical and financial business management, and the drawing up of a program, but also business plans of the National Cable Broadcasting Association in initial establishment time of 1960s.

This study attempted to analyze background and industrial difference of RO and SO. RO was launched for solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting. After solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting system, RO has played a roll as a local media. On the other hand, SO was launched by government's policy so SO has been protected and brought up by government. Because market of RO and SO is overlap and competitive, RO has been restricted by government for issuing new license and renewal of permission. Presently, environment of media has been changed very dramatically, so various niche media are needed for various customer's needs. In addition, local media are in trouble of playing a role as a public broadcasting service in Korea. Therefore, RO might be a good solution. In this study for the analysis of the user's needs a survey was conducted. This study shows possibility of RO's roll and function as a local media.

종합유선방송의 고기능화란 기존의 다채널만을 수용한 단순 종합유선방송뿐만 아니라 채널의 광대역화를 통한 쌍방향 통신의 개발로 이를 이용한 전화 서비스, 대화형 영상 서비스, 고속 인터넷 서비스와 같은 고도의 정보 통신 서비스까지 제공할 수 있는 새로운 자원의 정보통신 미디어로 발전된 것을 말한다. 그러나 우리 나라의 종합유선방송 사업은 많은 발전 가능성에도 불구하고 무리한 일정과 근시안적인 제도로 인해 시행 초기부터 프로그램의 제작 및 배분, 종합유선방송 사업자의 선정, 망의 설치 및 관리 둥에서 많은 문제점을 안고 있어 고기능 종합유선방송으로의 발전을 위한 제도적 대응방안이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 우리 나라의 종합유선방송의 제도의 문제점을 종합적으로 분석하고, 우리 나라에서 종합유선방송의 고기능화를 위한 제도적 대응 방안을 기술적인 측면과 정책적인 측면으로 나누어 제안하였다.

출판사가 단독 또는 컨소시엄을 형성, 유선방송 프로그램 공급업체로 나서 출판계 판도변화 등을 예상케 한다. 교육 3사의 경우엔 프로그램 차별화 전략 수립에 고심하고 있으며, 아동 1사는 전문인력 부족과 자체 개발 프로그램 제작의 현실적 어려움 등을 극복하기 위한 노력을 기울이고 있다.

디지털 기술의 발전에 따라 방송 통신 융합이 가속화되고 있다. 우리나라는 방송 통신의 융합을 위해 쌍방향성을 제공하는 IP-TV와 같은 서비스가 유선 인터넷망을 사용한 홈오토메이션의 고정 환경 서비스를 중심으로 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 자동차 또는 휴대폰 등의 이동형 디지털 TV에서의 양방향 데이터 서비스 같은 방송통신 융합 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 유선인터넷과 비슷한 전송속도와 비용을 갖는 무선 인터넷 서비스가 필요하다. 우리나라는 2006년 상반기에 유선인터넷과 비슷한 전송속도와 비용을 갖는 무선인터넷 서비스인 휴대인터넷을 상용화할 예정이다. 휴대인터넷은 동일한 주파수 대역을 이용하여 송수신을 하는 TDD방식을 사용한다. 우리나라는 셀룰러 시스템의 발달로 FDD를 중심으로 부품의 개발과 연구가 진행되어 왔기 때문에 TDD용 부품의 개발과 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 TDD 기반의 휴대인터넷용 고출력 RF 스위치의 개발에 대하여 기술한다.

Cable leakage criterion of technical regulations on CATV transmission system was reinforced considering interference against CDMA mobile communication system in 2007. The criterion is $3{\mu}V$/m(at 10m) over 824~849MHz. But generally it is difficult for us to decide if a given CATV transmission facilities conform to it or not through simple measurement methods. In this paper, the problems on measuring cable leakage is identified theoretically and the measuring model with spectrum analyzer, LNA, and antenna is proposed to settle the problems. Also, the model is proved to be useful by practically measuring outdoors and analysing the results and the process to decide to fit to the criterion or not is established.

케이블방송망은 광대역을 가진 유선망이라는 매체 특성으로 동일한 망을 이용하여 방송뿐만 아니라 통신까지 제공할 수 있는 양방향 방송서비스를 가능케 하는 방송통신 융합을 위한 최적의 망으로 거론되고 있다. 서비스 관점에서 케이블방송망은 도입초기 단순히 지상파 방송의 난시청 해소를 위한 수단이었으나 프로그램 공급업자와 종합 유선 방송국의 등장으로 독립적인 방송 매체로 발전하였으며, 북미 주도하에 1990년대 중반 통신법이 개정된 이후 양방향 고속 데이터서비스를 제공할 수 있는 방안으로 케이블 모뎀(CM: Cable Modem)을 개발하여 방송과 통신을 동시에 수용하는 통합망으로 발전시켜왔다. 최근 케이블방송은 전송 효율 고도화, 망 구조적 진화 및 대용량 콘텐츠 전송으로 크게 3개의 방향으로 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 본고에서는 각 발전 방향에서 제시하는 차세대 케이블방송의 기술개발 및 표준화 동향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.
