Experimental Implementation of Continuous GPS Data Processing Procedure on Near Real-Time Mode for High-Precision of Medium-Range Kinematic Positioning Applications (고정밀 중기선 동적측위 분야 응용을 위한 GPS 관측데이터 준실시간 연속 처리절차의 실험적 구현)

  • This paper deals with the high precision of GPS measurement reduction and its implementation on near real-time and kinematic mode for those applications requiring centimeter-level precision of the estimated coordinates, even if target stations are a few hundred kilometers away from their references. We designed the system architecture, data streaming and processing scheme. Intensive investigation was performed to determine the characteristics of the GPS medium-range functional model, IGS infrastructure and some exemplary systems. The designed system consisted of streaming and processing units; the former automatically collects GPS data through Ntrip and IGS ultra-rapid products by FTP connection, whereas the latter handles the reduction of GPS observables on static and kinematic mode to a time series of the target stations' 3D coordinates. The data streaming unit was realized by a DOS batch file, perl script and BKG's BNC program, whereas the processing unit was implemented by definition of a process control file of BPE. To assess the functionality and precision of the positional solutions, an experiment was carried out against a network comprising seven GPS stations with baselines ranging from a few hundred up to a thousand kilometers. The results confirmed that the function of the whole system properly operated as designed, with a precision better than ${\pm}1cm$ in each of the positional component with 95% confidence level.

Design of a Low Power Reconfigurable DSP with Fine-Grained Clock Gating (정교한 클럭 게이팅을 이용한 저전력 재구성 가능한 DSP 설계)

  • Recently, many digital signal processing(DSP) applications such as H.264, CDMA and MP3 are predominant tasks for modern high-performance portable devices. These applications are generally computation-intensive, and therefore, require quite complicated accelerator units to improve performance. Designing such specialized, yet fixed DSP accelerators takes lots of effort. Therefore, DSPs with multiple accelerators often have a very poor time-to-market and an unacceptable area overhead. To avoid such long time-to-market and high-area overhead, dynamically reconfigurable DSP architectures have attracted a lot of attention lately. Dynamically reconfigurable DSPs typically employ a multi-functional DSP accelerator which executes similar, yet different multiple kinds of computations for DSP applications. With this type of dynamically reconfigurable DSP accelerators, the time to market reduces significantly. However, integrating multiple functionalities into a single IP often results in excessive control and area overhead. Therefore, delay and power consumption often turn out to be quite excessive. In this thesis, to reduce power consumption of dynamically reconfigurable IPs, we propose a novel fine-grained clock gating scheme, and to reduce size of dynamically reconfigurable IPs, we propose a compact multiplier-less multiplication unit where shifters and adders carry out constant multiplications.

OSPF Protocol Extension and Active Packet Delivery Scheme for IP Networks with Active Routers (능동 라우터를 가진 IP 네트워크를 위한 OSPF 프로토콜의 확장 및 능동 패킷 전달 방식)

  • The existing active routing Protocols assume that the active network topology is static or pre-configured. However a dynamic mechanism to route an active Packet according to the network condition is required due to the dynamic characteristic of the active network. As active routing protocols, SLRP and TCOM500 PLAN project have been proposed, but since both of them are based on the assumption of the static topology we can not say that they are dynamic routing protocols in their entirety. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new active network routing protocol, called AOSPF (Active Open Shortest Path First), which is compatible with the existing IP routing protocol. AOSPF is an extension of OSPF by adding a new LSA (Link State Advertisement) to allow the active network routing. The newly introduced LSA is used to specify whether the corresponding router is an active router or not. and one bit in the OPTION field of an LSA packet is used as the active router indication bit. This way of extending OSPF is similar to the scheme used in the extension of OSPF for multicast, i.e., MOSPF. In this paper, we will present the operation of AOSPF and the way how an active packet is forwarded based on the active network topology information constructed by AOSPF.

DNN-Based Dynamic Cell Selection and Transmit Power Allocation Scheme for Energy Efficiency Heterogeneous Mobile Communication Networks (이기종 이동통신 네트워크에서 에너지 효율화를 위한 DNN 기반 동적 셀 선택과 송신 전력 할당 기법)

  • In this paper, we consider a heterogeneous network (HetNet) consisting of one macro base station and multiple small base stations, and assume the coordinated multi-point transmission between the base stations. In addition, we assume that the channel between the base station and the user consists of path loss and Rayleigh fading. Under these assumptions, we present the energy efficiency (EE) achievable by the user for a given base station and we formulate an optimization problem of dynamic cell selection and transmit power allocation to maximize the total EE of the HetNet. In this paper, we propose an unsupervised deep learning method to solve the optimization problem. The proposed deep learning-based scheme can provide high EE while having low complexity compared to the conventional iterative convergence methods. Through the simulation, we show that the proposed dynamic cell selection scheme provides higher EE performance than the maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio scheme and the Lagrangian dual decomposition scheme, and the proposed transmit power allocation scheme provides the similar performance to the trust region interior point method which can achieve the maximum EE.

  • 최근 WWW(World Wide Web)이 확산되면서, 정보들을 좀 더 자유롭게, 시간과 공간의 제약을 받지 않으면서 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 하지만, 초기 Web 기반 기술은 2차원적이고, 수동적인 정보를 제공하는 정도였다. 이에 비해 사용자들은 좀 더 실제의 세계와 유사한 3차원 환경에서, 능동적으로 참여하기를 원했고 이런 사용자들의 욕구에 발 맞춰 많은 기술들이 쏟아져 나오기 시작했다. 본 논문에서는 최신의 VRML과 JAVA기술들을 활용하여 Web 상에서 3차원 실시간 방송 시스템을 구현하였다 클라이언트가 직접 방송에 참여하거나 관람만 할 수 있는 모드를 제공하고 있으며, 실제 방송 참여자들은 자신의 아바타(avatar)를 선택하여 행동 콘트롤러와 자동 행동 발생시스템을 통해 좀 더 동적인 동작과 함께 방송에 참여할 수 있도록 하였으며, 일반 관람인의 경우 웹상에서 실시간으로 방송이 진행되는 모습을 볼 수 있다.

Remote Parallel Pseudo-Dynamic Testings Using Internet on Base Isolated Bridge (인터넷을 이용한 원격병렬 유사동적실험 : 면진교량에 대하여)

  • This paper presents a numerical simulation study for remote parallel pseudo-dynamic testings using Internet. In this testing method, experimental facilities located at different places can be parallelly used for testing a large-scale structure with many components subjected to severe nonlinear behavior. Example analysis is carried out on a base- isolated bridge for earthquake loading. The results indicate that the time required for data communication between two facilities located 250km apart through Internet for t 000 time steps is about 20 minutes, which is fairly equivalent to the time required for pseudo-dynamic testing. This testing method can be more powerful, as the data transmitting technique through Internet improves.

  • In this paper we present a hybrid model that enables dynamic regrouping based on emotion in determining the behavioral pattern of crowds in order to enhance the reality of crowd simulation in virtual environments such as games. Emotion determination rules are defined and they are used for dynamic human regrouping to simulate the movement of characters through crowds realistically. Our experiments show more natural simulation of crowd behaviors as results of this research.

Pseudo Dynamic Test Research on the Seismic Performance of RC Bridge Piers Retrofitted with Fiber Sheet (섬유보강 RC교각의 내진성능에 관한 유사동적실험 연구)

  • The objective of this experimental research is to assess the seismic performance of circular RC bridge pier specimens retrofitted with fibers which were designed as a prototype of Hagal bridge in the city of Suwon, Korea. Pseudo-dynamic test has been done for two nonseismic test specimens which were nonseismic designed by the related provisions of the Highway Design Specification, and four nonseismic test specimens retrofitted with fibers in the plastic hinge region. Important test parameters were load patterns, and retrofit. The seismic behavior has been analyzed through the displacement ductility, energy analysis, and capacity spectrum. Approximate 7.0 displacement ductility was observed for nonseismic test specimens retrofitted with fibers. It is concluded that these retrofitting test specimens could have sufficient seismic capacity in the region of moderate seismic zone.

  • 본 논문에서는 하나의 넓은 동적 영역(High Dynamic Range: HDR)을 갖는 이미지를 Earth Mover's Distance(EMD)값을 이용한 이미지 분할 기법을 적용한 유사 지역 그룹화를 통해, 각 그룹별로 톤 매핑을 수행하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 기존의 EMD 값을 통한 이미지 분할 알고리듬은 이미지 내의 같은 그룹으로 분류된 지역에서 휘도(luminance)의 변화가 클 때 후광 현상(halo artifact)이 발생하는 문제점을 보였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 알고리듬으로 분할된 이미지를 처리할 때 휘도 변화량(gradient)의 정보를 활용하여 후광 현상 제거함으로써 주관적 화질을 향상시켰다.

  • 국내에서도 최근 이상기후 현상이 빈번하게 발생하고 있고, 이로 인해 매년 봄가뭄과 여름홍수가 반복적으로 발생하여 효율적 수자원 관리의 중요성이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 최적 저수지 운영을 통한 효율적인 수자원 이용으로 과다한 무효 방류와 같이 낭비되는 수자원을 절감시켜 신규 수자원 개발과 유사한 효과를 획득하고, 기존 시설에 의한 지역 용수의 안정적인 공급으로 신규 수자원 개발 억제에 의한 비용 절감의 필요성과 유역의 수자원 변화를 평가하기 위한 모형의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 저수량 확보, 생활.농업.공업.하천유지용수 공급, 홍수조절, 수력발전 등의 다양한 목적들을 적절히 고려하고, 사용자의 요구에 따라 목적별 우선권을 변경할 수 있도록 적절한 membership 함수를 구축하여 fuzzy DP 모형을 개발하였다. 또한, 개발된 fuzzy DP 모형에 소양강 다목적댐의 기왕의 수문자료를 도입한 모형의 최적화 운영결과와 기왕의 실적자료를 비교 검토하여 최적화 운영의 우수성을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 저수지의 효율적인 운영을 위한 지침으로 사용될 수 있을 것이며, 유역의 수자원 영향 평가에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
