언제 어디서든 인간의 편의를 도모하고자 하는 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(USN) 시대에 발맞춰 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구들 중 차량에 설치된 단말기를 통해 길안내 서비스, 교통정보 서비스 등 다양한 정보를 제공하는 텔레매틱스 서비스가 활발하게 연구되고 있다. 텔레매틱스 서비스의 일환으로 교차로에서 발생할 수 있는 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위하여 교차로로 접근하는 차량의 위치 및 속도 등의 차량정보를 교차로 중앙에 위치한 베이스 스테이션으로 전송하기 위해 IEEE 802.11 프로토콜[1]을 사용하였을 때, 도심 지역에 위치한 교차로의 경우 신속하고 정확하게 전송되어야 하는 차량 정보들이 교차로 주변의 빌딩숲에 가려진 두개 이상의 노드가 거의 동시에 송신을 하는 경우 충돌로 인하여 베이스 스테이션에서 수신 에러가 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 프로토콜을 통해 차량 정보를 베이스 스테이션으로 전송할 때 교차로 주변 빌딩이 성능에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 NS2[2] 시뮬레이션 도구를 사용하여 성능을 평가하고자 한다.

This paper presents and analyzes urban planning process to be adopted to create ubiquitous space in city environment, using City of Seoul's Digital Media Street Project as a case study. The Digital Media Street will become the main pedestrian thoroughfare in the Digital Media City (DMC) in Sangam area, planned to become the world's first ubiquitous environment in full urban scale. Ubiquitous space is reinterpreted from an urban planning perspective, and a new approach to planning such a space is introduced, including strategies to couple technology, space, and human activities. Methodology, role of different actors, planning process, and institutional arrangement are examined in turn, and this yields further agenda for improvements that can be made in planning ubiquitous spaces in the future.

최근 유비쿼터스를 비롯한 정보기술의 급격한 발전에 따라 GIS를 통하여 누구나 일상 속에서 직접 지리정보를 활용할 수 있게 되면서 공공분야 및 연관 산업분야에 큰 파급효과를 가져오고 있다. 특히, 지리정보의 유통 방식이 기존의 공급자가 제공하는 지리정보에 대해 조회 위주에서 벗어나 현장에서 실시간으로 지리정보를 가공하고 직접 갱신할 수 있는 양방향 서비스로 진화하면서, GIS는 u-City 구현에 필수적인 위치기반 공공서비스 인프라 구현을 통해 민간의 내비게이션, 텔레매틱스 등 관련분야 시장규모가 해마다 급속히 성장하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 상승세에도 불구하고 여전히 기관마다 서로 유사한 서비스를 제공하는 경우가 빈번하고, 민간의 대다수 유관업체들 역시 아직 지속적인 수익모델을 찾지 못해 단말기 제조 등 특정 분야에만 머무르고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 업종특성에 맞는 보다 구체적이고 유망한 신규 사업모델의 개발이 시급하다. 본 연구는 GIS 특성에 근거하여 사업모델 개발에 필요한 성공요인을 도출하고 그 타당성을 분석함으로서, 이를 통해 다양한 성공적인 지리정보 활용 비즈니스 모델의 구현과 평가에 기여하고자 한다.

유비쿼터스 환경에서의 일반 사용자를 위한 흠 네트워크의 실현은 다양한 가전 제품군의 홈 네트워크 미들웨어들이 표준화되고 상용 장비에도 장착이 되어 실용화된다. 흠 네트워크 환경에서 UpnP (Universal Plug and P1ay) HAVI (Home audio/video interoperability) HNCP(Home Network Control Protocol)등과 같은 개별 단체 표준 미들웨어들을 탑재하고 있는 이종 정보가전기기들 간의 상호연동성을 제공하고，홈 네트워크 미들웨어들을 쉽게 수용하기 위해서 Universal Middleware Bridge 시스템 규격을 ITA 표준안에서 정의하였다. TTA의 Universal Middleware Bridge(UMB)를 표준화로 제안되고 있는 범용 미들웨어 브릿지(UMB)는，SOAP/HTTP 기반의 UMB 메시지 전송/수신 기능을 가지고 있는 Universal Middleware Bridge Core(UMB-C)와 접속 설정 기능과 UMB 메시지를 수신，해석，생성，전송하는 기능을 가지고 있는 Universal Middleware Bridge Adaptor(UMB-A)로 구성 된다. UMB 메시지는 3가지 범주로 분류된 메커니즘이 있다. 첫 번째는 미들혜어의 접속과 해제에 관련된 메커니즘이고，두 번째는 장치 접속/해제에 관한 메커니즘이며，세 번째는 장치에 대한 제어/감시/이벤트에 관한 메커니즘이 있다. 본 논문에서는 미들웨어 운영 메커니즘에 서비스 품질 패키지，경고 메시지에 대한 메커니즘을 추가 설계하였다.

다양한 서비스와의 서비스간 융합이 활발히 이루어지는 유비쿼터스 서비스 환경에서 사용자에게 보다 편리하게 맞춤 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 다양한 입출력 수단을 통해 상황에 따라 적절한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 멀티모달 상황인지 기술은 언제, 어디서나 사용자에게 최적의 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 다양한 상황정보를 인지하여 적절한 입출력 수단을 사용할 수 있는 UI를 제공함으로써 사용자별 맞춤형 서비스가 가능하게 하는 기술이다. 본 고에서는 멀티모달 및 상황인지 기술에 대한 개요와 KT에서 개발하고 있는 멀티모달 상황인지 플랫폼 및 이를 기반으로 한 홈네트워크 서비스를 소개하고자 한다.

Ubiquitous information technology creates new space connected to electronic and physical space and makes new life pattern come true. Although it is expected that ubiquitous technology will lead significant changes on various life fields, relevant studies on its market needs, customer needs in social and cultural context and its necessity at organizational level have been passively carried out. What is worse, IT technology application scheme in railway field has not fully established since railway field's technology development is mainly focused on hardware compared with road and air traffic. In order to apply ubiquitous technology to railway field, therefore, it is required to identify ubiquitous technology functions which applicable to railway field and to establish ubiquitous rail system implementation scheme for end users. In this paper, we suggested implementation scheme for u-Rail which sorts railway industry by its components in order to implement service centered ubiquitous technology to each railway industry field.

유비쿼터스 환경에서 위치추적 서비스를 구현하기 위해서는 위치 정보 및 이를 기반으로 한 주변의 상황에 대한 정보와 최적화된 위치 서비스 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 오차해결 기법은 실제 위치하는 측정태그와 보정태그와의 거리계산을 통하여 최적의 위치 값을 추출해내는 기법으로써 우선적으로 앤커에 수신된 태그의 위치 값 계산을 한 후 보정태그와의 거리 오차 계산을 통하여 위치 값을 보정한다.

최근 IT 기술의 발달로 많은 디지털 컨텐츠 서비스 사업이 사용자에게 제공되고 있으며, 유로 컨텐츠의 경우 사용자 개인 정보를 통한 사용자 인증을 요구되고 있다. 이에 저작권 보호, 관리, 유통을 위한 DRM 기술의 확보가 콘텐츠 사업의 성장에 필수 항목으로 요구되고 있으며 기반 기술 및 국제 표준화를 위한 노력중에 있다. 본 논문은 최근 보급률이 급증하고 있는 SmartPhone 상에서 음원 컨텐츠 서비스 이용에 적용 가능한 DRM 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 DRM 시스템은 사용자의 USIM 카드를 이용하여 암복호화에 사용되며, 불법적인 복제 방지를 위한 방안도 제시하고 있다.

We called a current society the convergence generation. In information society, digital convergence means a service or new product which appeared through fusion of unit technologies in information and communication regions. The effects of convergence technologies and social phenomenons are visualized in overall regions of society such as economy, society, culture, etc. In 2011, The Government introduced "IT Convergence Technology Prediction Survey 2025". This report includes 10 ICT industries. In this paper, we described a smart city which was leading case in digital convergence and related with our life.

Conventions play important roles as tools for effective marketing. It will be able to understand the changes of particular industry's market, develop a new market and potential clients, and get a chance such as strategic network constructing. To support effective viewing of visitors, conventions have introduced a variety of ubiquitous computing technologies. This study introduces a case of applying the Utility Tag-based convention service system at the Cosmetics & Beauty Expo, Osong Korea 2013. The Utility Tag-based convention service system is constructed total three systems: (1) NFC Tag Management System; allowing effective access and management of NFC tags in various locations and objects, (2) Information Provide System; allowing participating vendors to manage information they want to provide information to visitors, and (3) Utility Tags; providing a variety of service to visitors for effective viewing in exhibition/convention space. This study first explores literature review and applying case related to ubiquitous computing in this field and introduces Applying an Utility Tag-based convention service system. In addition, we analyze visitors' behaviors and association rules by take advantage of collected touch data, present various possible for applications of the Utility Tag-based convention service system.
