  • The use of multiple celebrity endorsement is a common practice in advertising campaigns. However, little research has been conducted on the effects of multiple celebrity endorsement. In particular, the current study is designed to delve into what factors influence the effects of multiple celebrity endorsement. Portfolio-brand fit, portfolio-celebrity fit, and portfolio celebrity-consumer fit are three factors that affect a consumer's attitude toward the ad, the endorsed brand, and the purchase intention in the context of multiple celebrity endorsement. Study findings suggest that portfolio-brand fit, portfolio-celebrity fit, and portfolio celebrity-consumer fit positively affect attitudes toward the ad. In addition, as shown in the modified model, covariance among these three variables was found. Practical and theoretical implications were also discussed.

The investigation serves as a pivotal inquiry into the dynamics of this economy, striving to uncover the extent of internet celebrities' influence, particularly in terms of their economic impact. • Luxury products are sold in various online shopping malls in China. Companies utilize celebrities as their advertising models or disclose their CSR information to lower perceived risk. This study scrutinized the effects of CSR information and celebrity models on the relationship between perceived risk and the intention to use online shopping malls. According to the elaboration likelihood model, when consumers perceive high risk, they use the central route to process information and form attitudes. Celebrity models and CSR information as secondary clues may not have a significant effect. To test the hypotheses, a 2 (risk H/L)×2 (CSR)×2 (model) factorial design was employed. Study results found in a low perceived risk situation, CSR information or a celebrity model endorsing their products significantly increased the intention to use the shopping mall (model w/ 3.407 vs. w/o 2.88; CSR w/ 3.29 vs. w/o 2.779). However, in a perceived high-risk situation, their effects were not significant. Therefore, it is noteworthy that celebrity models and CSR information are effective in increasing the intention to use online shopping malls only when consumers use peripheral routes in a perceived low-risk situation.

  • This study was conducted to identify the negative effects of sports sponsorships on consumer attitudes towards sports celebrities and the products advertised by them. The results of this study verified the main effects of sports celebrities' responsibility level on consumer attitudes toward the sports celebrity and his/her products in cases of negative incidents. Furthermore, the moderating roles of sports celebrities' response strategies were identified. Data were collected from 135 undergraduate students in the Republic of Korea using a questionnaire. The data from nine participants were discarded because of disingenuous answers to the questionnaire; thus, the final sample consisted of 126 participants. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) of the obtained data revealed that a sports celebrity's responsibility level has negative effects on consumer attitude toward the sports celebrity and the product. The moderating effects of the sports celebrity's response strategies were also significant.

This increases the related cost, which makes the continued development of small and medium-sized game companies more difficult. Therefore, this study attempts to understand consumer values according to the type of mobile game marketing and to explore the factors that affect the switching intention of mobile games based on real users of mobile games. As a result of this study, it was found that the playfulness and economics of mobile game marketing have positive effect on the attitudes towards mobile game advertisements and attitudes towards mobile games, but the attractiveness of mobile game marketing using celebrities does not. It was found that attitudes towards mobile game advertisements and attitudes towards mobile games have an influence on the switching intention of mobile games. • This study is to investigate Right to Chinese Name for Foreigners under Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China. The basketball star Michael Jordan sued Qiaodan Sports in 2012, saying the company had built its business around his Chinese name read as Qiaodan in Chinese without his permission. The Chinese supreme court ruled that the trademark for Jordan's Chinese name should be returned to China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce to be re-awarded, and it means Qiaodan Sports Co. must stop using the Chinese characters for Qiaodan on its merchandise. However, the court rejected Jordan's claim to the romanized or pinyin form of the name "Qiaodan," saying in its judgment that this version may not be closely linked with him. People who want to claim the right to Chinese name, he/she must prove the specific name has linked with him/her. Furthermore, he/she must prove the Chinese firm's actions had displayed "malicious intent" by registering trademarks for his/her Chinese name. The courts approve infringement by Chinese firm and stop to use his/her name in the country.
