A study of estimating the hit probability and confidence level considering the characteristic of Precision Guided Missile (정밀유도무기 특성을 고려한 명중률 및 신뢰수준 산정방안)

  • The performance of Precision Guided Missiles is estimated by using hit probability only, which is calculated by hits against total amounts of fires in current domestic live-fire tests. It has a limitation in judging the performance of all produced Precision Guided Missiles by using the calculated hit probability according to the result of live-fire test, because the overall characteristics of the produced Precision Guided Missiles are not considered. In other words, a method is needed to estimate the confidence level which is more reliable than simply calculated hit probability according to the result of live-fire test for guaranteeing the hit probability of Precision Guided Missiles by certain level, which is already being operated or produced. This paper introduces a method to estimate the confidence level of Precision Guided Missiles by minimum live-fire tests using Hypergeometric distribution and Bayes' rule suitable for the characteristics of Precision Guided Missiles, which are small production, high costs and unable to check whether the missile hits the target or not before the live-fire tests. Also, this paper suggests a reasonable confidence level for showing the performance of the Precision Guided Missiles using the results of live-fire tests and domestic and foreign literature, when the result of live-fire tests will be decided.

  • 첨단 과학기술의 발전으로 미래전은 정밀타격이 보편화되는 방향으로 발전할 것이며, 이때 정밀유도무기가 적의 핵심표적만을 선별 공격함으로써 빠른 시간 내에 적 전력의 기능을 마비시킬 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 최근 정밀유도무기에 적용되고 있는 GPS 유도방식은 재밍상황에 그 취약성을 들어 낼 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 GPS 유도방식인 정밀유도무기를 사용하여 공격할 경우 재밍에 대응하기 위한 방편의 하나로 방위각을 제어함으로써 재밍 대응이 가능한지 여부를 실험 및 분석하였다. 분석결과 방위각 140도까지는 제어 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, a study on the seeker technology in guided weapon system development. Seeker is guided weapons mounted on the device that is targeted for implementation homing guided looking for confirmation of the target after picking up, tracking, command, induce calculations necessary to induce the target's direction or control device to provide location information to perform a series of features. Therefore, the Seeker is guided weapons systems and important device that determines the performance of one guided control. Explorer is a tactical and strategy guided weapons from different goals and specifications of weapons systems development and encourage economic efficiency, Interoperability, designed to improve the reliability and hit requirements and the more numerous. Therefore, this research through the Explorer's attributes and weapons systems encourage the development direction of the technical details of the offer.

  • 유도무기체계를 위한 구동장치는 크게 유도탄 조종용 구동장치와 유도무기 발사대 터렛 구동장치로 나눌수 있다. 유도탄 구동장치는 1회용이지만 높은 출력/무게비가 요구되고, 발사대 구동장치는 대부하라는 점에서 기술적 특성이 구별된다. 유도무기 구동장치로는 유압, 공압, 전기모타 구동장치가 쓰일수 있으나 종래에는 작은 동력이 요구되는 전술용 유도무기의 구동장치를 제외하고는 많은 경우에 출력대 무게 비가 높은 유압구동장치가 사용되어왔다

  • The guided missiles and decoy systems that have been developed have been likened to a spear and shield. When a new attack system appears, another defense system is developed, and the attack system is once again upgraded to neutralize it. Now, due to the limitations of the decoy system, guided weapons have become the main force of both the defense and attack systems. Also, these systems have been expanded to use Space systems as a means of defending against a guided weapon system that is too fast for terrestrial-based systems. Induced weapon systems started at the sub-sonic level, and have become so important that their speeds have become super-sonic and hyper-sonic. The concept of Space has been included in the range of guided missiles, and satellite systems have become essential elements of guided missiles. Focusing on the correlation between the guided missile system and the satellite system, we analyze the characteristics of modern guided munitions and the direction of development of the guided weapons system.

  • Unsteady numerical analysis was performed to simulate air-launched missiles from a complete helicopter in hover by using an unstructured overset mesh flow solver coupled with a module of six degree-of-freedom motion of equations. The unsteady computations have been performed to obtain flow fields around the complete helicopter including main rotor, tail rotor, and fuselage equipped with multiple missiles, and six-DOF simulation has been performed to predict the behavior of the air-launched missile. The effects of the launching position and the missile thrust on the trajectory of the missile were investigated as well as the aerodynamic interference of the air-launched missile under the unsteady downwash produced by main rotor.

  • Recently, because Global Positioning System (GPS) achieves accuracy for engagement of enemy targets, GPS guided weapons have a wide range of applications from land through sea to air. Especially, when GPS guided weapon is then launched, it reads current position and searches a course to the target. As we all know, because GPS signals are weak, these signals can be affected by interference. If jamming signal is strong enough, it can jam the receiver of GPS guided weapon. Therefore, anti-jamming technique is an important thing under these conditions. In this paper, the controlling azimuth angle was used to improve navigation performance of precision guided missile under jamming conditions. First of all, precision missiles by GPS positioning such as SLAM-ER and JDAM were investigated. Also, the azimuth cutoff angle of satellites for usable navigation under jamming signals was analyzed by experimental tests. As a result, we found that azimuth cutoff angle under 140 degree can help ensure continuous GPS reception under the missile guidance.

  • This paper provides Bayesian methodology to estimate the reliability for guided weapons which are not continuously operating. The posterior distribution of subsystems and components becomes the next prior distribution. By analyzing the results of the sub-systems and components presented a method for estimating the reliability of the entire guided weapons. Bayesian methodology using existing test data of subsystems may be used to reduce the sample sizes.

고효율 색소결합 유-무기 하이브리드 레이저 재료의 제조와 특성평가

  • 레이저 색소 분자간의 회합을 막음으로써 높은 레이저 효율을 갖는 고체 색소 레이저를 제조하기 위해 레이저 색소인 DCM을 유-무기 하이브리드 재료에 화학적으로 결합시켰다. 수산화기를 기능기로 갖는 DCM을 합성하여 이를 솔-젤반응의 전구체로 활용하였다. 유기실란을 DCM과 함께 솔-젤반응을 시킴으로써 DCM이 결합된 유무기 하이브리드 재료를 제조하였다. DCM이 결합된 유-무기 하이브리드 재료는 유기물과 무기물의 특성을 각각 갖고 있기 때문에 용액공정을 통해 고체 색소 레이저를 단시간에 제작할 수가 있을 뿐만 아니라 열적 및 광학적으로 우수한 특성을 보여주었다. Nd:YAG 레이저를 여기광으로 이용하여 DCM이 결합된 유-무기 하이브리드 재료의 레이저 효율을 측정하여 DCM을 유기용매에 녹인 색소 레이저의 레이저 효율과 비교하였다. DCM이 결합된 유-무기 하이브리드 재료는 DCM의 농도가 높아질 수록 유기용매를 이용한 색소 레이저에 비해서 더 높은 레이저 효율을 가지는 것을 관찰하였다. 이는 DCM이 결합된 유-무기 하이브리드 재료에 각각의 DCM 분자가 실록산 망목구조와 화학적으로 결합이 되어있기 때문에 하이브리드 재료에 안정적으로 존재할 수 있게 되고 망목구조에 둘러쌓여 분자간의 회합이 방지되는 효과를 가지게 되기 때문이다.
