  • This study investigates the predictors of the relationship quality between grandparents and grandchildren in emerging adulthood. Participants were 501 grandchildren with at least one living maternal/paternal grandparents. According to the t-test, the frequency of contact with maternal grandparents, the similarity of value to paternal grandparents, and the affective solidarity with paternal grandparents were significantly different depending on the grandchildren's sex. Results of multiple regression analyses indicated that the relationships of father-grandparents and mother-grandparents, the frequency of contact, and the similarities of value significantly predicted the affective solidarity between grandparents and grandchildren. However, the relative predictive power of these variables was different by the lineage and the grandchildren's sex.

As this phenomenon regarded, this study is purposed to explore the effects of social network on entrepreneurial intentions and new venture. To promote an empirical analysis, the sample survey based on 208 domestic nascent entrepreneurs are collected and multiple regression analysis and mediated regression analysis are used. The strong ties more influence on entrepreneurial intentions. On the other hand, the week ties which are based on substantial business knowledge, information, and technology more affect on entrepreneurship. Second, entrepreneurial intentions play a role in the partial mediation effect between the strong ties and entrepreneurship, and the perfect mediation effect is indicated by between the week ties and entrepreneurship. The results suggest that nascent entrepreneurs have a lack of capital during business start-up period. As this regard, they tend to achieve related entrepreneurship resources through the strong ties such as family, relatives, and friends. Moreover, it is suggested that the potential nascent entrepreneurs should be aware of necessity of technological and economical support so that it can establish various social network. Furthermore, it encourages entrepreneurial intentions, fosters entrepreneurship, and indicates the direction of entrepreneurship through practical suggestions. it is expected that moderating effect of gender on nascent entrepreneurs and non nascent entrepreneurs leads to useful results for the future.

  • This experiment was conducted to elucidate the effects of fruit bagging on the amounts of pesticide residues on/in pears with two pesticides, chlorpyrifos 25% WP, and penconazole 5% WP, and two pear cultivars, Niitaka and Hwangeum-bae. Residues of chlorpyrifos and penconazole in bagged pears were only $0.4{\sim}27%$ of those in non-bagged one. Residues of both pesticides in bagged and non-bagged pears were steeply reduced in the field but slowly reduced during storage. Residues of chlorpyrifos were more in the peel than in the flesh, while penconazole in bagged pear was evenly distributed in the peel and flesh. Chlorpyrifos was evenly distributed in outer bag and inner bag irrespective of bag materials, while most of penconazole was found in outer bag rather than in inner bag. To produce safer pear from pesticide residues, removal of bag before storage is recommended.

Considering that they could cause others to re-buy, friendly word of mouth, recommendations, we should know improving customers loyalty about a company(department store) is very important. This study presents not only customers and sales clerks relationship but also developing customer-customer relationship is important as well. From the viewpoint, this study gives the following strategic tactics to companies. First, customer's relationship with sales clerk is not able to be built in a short time unlike discount or gifts. Second, relationship around customers effects on loyalty of the department store, over the relationship of simple customer-sales clerk. Finally, companies, to make a relationship like fabric, should escape a two-level channel, a company to a customer, then recognize a three-level channel, a company to a friendly customer to a neutral or a unfriendly customer. That means a business should use the positive to make the negative or the neutral change their behavior to it.

  • In this paper, I intend to focus on the 1991 racial tension and violence portrayed in Anna Devear Smith's book Fires in the Mirror, which was published in book form in 1993. I make use of a series of interviews with many of those involved in the conflicts, which were based on the Jewish Holocaust and the history of African American enslavement. In Crown Heights, the black community and the Jewish community have each suffered terrible losses, but individuals and communities become rhetorically attached to foundational historical traumas that lie at the center of each group's cultural identity rather than try to understand each other's pain. Smith lets this rhetoric dominate Fires in the Mirror by putting contradictory monologues side by side in order to show how discourses on 'slavery' and 'the Holocaust' still have control over specific ethnic communities. My intention is not to delve into the conflict between the Jewish and black communities exclusively. Rather, I attempt to form an understanding of the problems of the critical/theoretical tenets proposed by 'the rhetoric of holocaust,' including the Jewish Holocaust and the black experience of enslavement. Such an understanding will help us see the failure in the theories, illuminating the ways that such rhetoric should have recognized its own violence and helped to forge a new relationship between racism and anti-Semitism. Fires in the Mirror mirrors back to us the ways that 'the Holocaust' betrays the possibility of error to indicate its own susceptibility to blindness. The cracks brought forth by conflicting narratives enable readers to observe wounds being healed and the possibility of new narrative looming up.
