유기 EL용 ITO 표면 연마장비의 운전변수와 균일도의 상관관계에 대한 연구

  • 본 연구는 차세대 FPD의 소재로서 각광받고 있는 유기EL 의 제조공정을 위한 연구이다. 유기 EL 의 모재로서 이용되고 있는 ITO 코팅 유리는 그 표면의 정밀도에 따라서 제품의 불량률이 변화되게 됨으로 제조공정에 있어서는 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 하지만, ITO 코팅유리의 표면 정밀도를 얻기 위하여 필수적인 연마공정 내에서 연마입자와 ITO 코팅유리의 상호작용에 의하여 연마가 이루어질 뿐 아니라, 불순물의 유입이나 기타 공정조건에 의하여 유리 표면 결함이 발생 및 불균일 연마가 수행되는 것은 피할수 없는 상황이다.(중략)

  • Recently, Organic EL(Electro Luminescence) is interested in Flat Panel Display(FPD) department of new generation. This paper describes a image processing algorithm for the scratch detecting for ITO coated glass. We use the logical level thresholding method for binarization of gray-scaled glass image. This method is useful to the algorithm for detecting scratch of ITO coated glass automatically without need of any prior information of manual fine tuning of parameters.

Synthesis of Blue Emission Hydrazone Derivatives for Organic Electroluminescence (유기 EL용 청색 발광 히드라존 유도체의 합성)

  • As a fundamental study on organic electroluminescence(EL), blue emitting materials were synthesized and characterized. Individual blue colored hydrazone derivatives were synthesized from the reaction of aldehydes (phthalaldehyde, isophthalaldehyde) with the corresponding amnios (1-methyl -1-phenylhydrazine, 1,1-diphenylhydrazine hydrochloride). Recrystallization of hydrazones from chloroform revealed the melting temperature within $142∼156^{\circ}C$. Photoluminescence(PL) analysis on each hydrazone showed that emission range were blue(458∼478 nm). The structure of obtained hydrazones were elucidated by FT-IR, $^1$H-NMR and C, H, N elemental analyzer.

Trap Level Study of Alq3 for OLED with Debye Dielectric Relaxation (Debye 이론을 이용한 유기 EL용 Alq3계 재료의 Trap Level 측정)

  • Upon Debye's dielectric relaxation theory, we tried simple determination method of trap level in organic EL materials. From dielectric measurements in the 20 Hz - 1 MHz frequency range and in the 150 K - 320K temperature range, the depth of traps in Alq$_3$ filled with remaining electrons was determinated. Comparing to other determination techniques like TSL, or TL, the apparatus all we need is just simple LCR meter, thermometer and cooling method(liquid nitrogen). The mean activation energy is about 0.20 eV. It is in good agreement with previous determinations by other techniques like TSL. This results consolidate the validity of Burrow's transport mechanism model. Further intensified experiment with UV light on the dielectric absorption(Photodipolair effect) was nevertheless disturbed by the photoconductivity component.
