Lightweight Design and Structural Stability of Wide Impeller for Lage-area Surface Treatment (대면적 표면처리용 광폭 임펠러의 경량 설계 및 구조적 안정성)

  • In this study, a lightweight wide impeller for large-area surface treatment was designed and structural stability was confirmed based on finite element(FE) analysis. A lightweight bracket FE model was established through topology optimization, and the optimal FE model was selected after structural analysis. The bending deformation FE analysis was performed, and bending deformation was included in the allowable deformation range. In addition, FE modal analysis was performed, and the range of safe speed(RPM) by rotation was suggested. Ultimately, it was confirmed that this analytical technique is effective for design the lightweight wide impeller.

  • Currently, 90 % of the world's population breathes air with a fine dust content exceeding the World Health Organization's annual average exposure limit (10 ㎍/㎥). Global efforts have been devoted toward reducing secondary pollutants and ultra-fine dust through regulations on nitrogen oxides released over land and sea. Domestic efforts have also aimed at creating clean marine environments by reducing sulfur emissions, which are the primary cause of dust accumulation in ships, through developing and distributing environment-friendly ships. Among the technologies for reducing harmful emissions from diesel engines, electrostatic precipitator offer several advantages such as a low pressure loss, high dust collection efficiency, and NOx removal and maintenance. This study aims to increase the durability of a ship by improving equipment quality through failure mode effects analysis for the preventive maintenance of an electrostatic precipitator that was developed for reducing fine dust particles emitted from the 2,427 kW marine diesel engines in ships with a gross tonnage of 999 tons. With regard to risk priority, failure mode 241 (poor dust capture efficiency) was the highest, with an RPN of 180. It was necessary to determine the high-risk failure mode in the collecting electrode and manage it intensively. This was caused by clearance defects, owing to vibrations and consequent pin loosening. Given that pin loosening is mainly caused by vibrations generated in the hull or equipment, it is necessary to manage the position of pin loosening.

Assessment of Field Application of Contaminated Sediment Removal Efficiency Using PVDF Combined Hybrid Tunnel Drainage (PVDF(Polyvinylidene Fluoride) 필름형 트랜스듀서 하이브리드 터널배수재에 대한 오염퇴적물 제거효율의 현장 적용성 평가)

  • Typically, contaminated sediments cause clogging of the drain pipe, which increases the residual water pressure in the drain pipe; this study constructed a system for improving drainage efficiency of tunnels by reducing physical and chemical obstructions through ultrasonic energy generated by a PVDF film. The developed hybrid drainage system utilized a PVDF material film fused with an existing drainage tunnel and maintenance system resulting in the ability to initialize the reverse piezoelectric effect, which was evaluated through an on site application. In order to investigate the maintenance performance of the tunnel drainage system, contaminated sediments were simulated in a drainage pipe to test the effect of ultrasonic conditions on drainage efficiency in the laboratory. As a result of applying the developed portable equipment, the ultrasonic energy was generated for about 20 minutes resulting in a reduction of 74.62% of the contaminated sediments and improving drainage efficiency. From the tunnel, acoustic pressure measurements were taken to calculate the response rate while taking into account the laboratory results. In addition, PVDF film was attached to the transverse and longitudinal side of the drainage pipes where contaminated sediments occur most often in the field tunnel. these calculations show contaminant removal was 90% effective.

  • 최근 들어 IT 기술의 비약적인 발전과 더불어 사용자의 편의성을 극대화 시키는 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 기술이 주목을 받고 있다. 이러한 기술은 일반인 뿐만 아니라 장애인들에게 큰 도움이 될 것이고, 현재 관련된 연구들이 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 청각장애인을 위해 개발된 웨어러블 단말 인터페이스 기술을 소개하고자 한다. 웨어러블 단말장치는 소형 마이크로폰을 통해 입력된 주변의 소리로부터 미리 정해진 주요한 소리를 실시간 감지하여, 시각과 촉각 정보로 변환하여 소리의 종류 및 방향을 청각장애인에 알려주는 기능을 한다. 시각정보는 안경식 소형 디스플레이를 통해 상황에 맞는 그래픽아이콘을 보여주고 동시에 소형 진동자들이 부착된 햅틱 슈트를 통해 촉각 정보가 전달된다. 본 연구에서 개발한 웨어러블 단말장치를 통해 청각장애인이 일상생활에서 발생되는 여러 가지 위험상황 또는 긴급상황에 적절하게 대처할 수 있도록 도와주고자 한다.

  • 굴삭기는 다양한 산업 분야에서 폭넓게 이용되고 있는 대표적인 장비임에도 불구하고 작업 환경은 매우 열악하여 굴삭 조종자는 각종 소음이나 진동, 분진에의 노출뿐만 아니라 산업재해의 위험성 또한 높다. 이러한 문제점들을 타개하기 위하여 현재 국내에서는 2006년부터 지능형굴삭시스템(Intelligent Excavating System)에 의한 자동화된 굴삭기의 개발을 위하여 연구를 진행 중에 있다. 자동화 굴삭시스템 구축에 있어서 센싱(sensing)을 통해 획득된 지형 및 주변 환경정보를 활용하여 숙련공의 휴리스틱스(heuristics)를 바탕으로 설계된 모듈을 통해 최적의 굴삭 작업 계획을 세우고, GUI (Graphic User Interface)를 제공하여 실시간 작업진행 상태 파악 및 모니터링(monitoring) 내용을 굴삭기 조종자와 공사 감독관에게 제공하는 Task Planning System의 개발은 생산성, 안전성, 작업의 품질 및 장비의 성능에도 지대한 영향을 미치며 자동화된 굴삭시스템을 개발함에 있어서 필수적으로 요구되어지는 핵심기술이다. 본 논문에서는 자동화 굴삭시스템을 위한 자동화 계획생성 시스템인 Task Planning System의 현재까지 진행된 연구 내용과 모니터링 및 작업에 대한 최소간섭을 위한 Task Planning System Interface를 소개한다.

Development of Cam Die for Processing Four Lateral Switch Box (스위치 박스 4측면 가공용 캠금형 개발)

  • A switch box is metal box for electric wire pipes in building. In manufacturing this box, the first press is used to mold and the second to fifth presses are used to process four-sides of a box. So four presses, four molds and four workers are needed. This leads to raise the manufacturing cost including machine lease rent, molding fee, and wages. To make matters worse, the roaring sound, vibration, and dangers of safety accidents make employees avoid from working that job. To solve this problem, a new Handling Mechanism and a cam die which combined four-die-involving processes into one die process were developed. That results job automation of the Job with one press and one die. The job avoidance problem is solved and manufacturing cost is reduced as well.

  • 2005년도에 저압 지중함에서 감전사고가 발생한 후 감전예방을 위한 다양한 개선대책이 현장에 적용되었다. 사고발생 직후에는 지중전선의 접속부에 테이핑처리에 의한 보완조치가 적용되었으며, 그 이후 전선 접속 부를 방수형접속재로 교체하는 작업이 시행되었으며 전선 접속부 위를 감전방지용 절연고무판으로 덮거나 차량의 통행이 없는 일부 지중함의 뚜껑을 절연재질인 고강도플라스틱(FRP)으로 교체하거나 그 이외에 다중접지된 중성선과 지중함의 틀을 본딩하는 개선대책 등이 현장에 적용되었다. 이러한 다양한 개선대책은 지중함에서의 감전사고를 예방하기 위한 것으로 그중 틀접지는 이미 적용된 지중함 내의 접지설비와 중성선이 공통접속된 상태에서 지중함과 맞닿는 틀에 접지도체를 연결하는 것이다. 계통의 중성선을 이용한(TN-C)방식의 틀접지는 효과가 있으나 뚜껑부분의 진동방지를 위하여 삽입한 고무패킹은 성능저하를 일으키므로 그에 대한 대책이 필요하였다.

  • 감조하천이 위치한 연안 지역의 경우, 강우 및 태풍과 발생과 동시에 만조위가 겹치게 되면 큰 홍수 피해를 입는 지역이다. 감조하천은 조석의 영향으로 인해 물의 흐름 및 수위가 주기적으로 진동하는 특성을 보이고 있다. 조석 현상은 주로 기조력에 의한 주기적인 운동이 발생하지만, 풍속, 저기압 등의 영향도 함께 포함되어 있다. 연안 지역에 대한 홍수 위험 관리를 위해, 본 연구에서는 연안 지역 내 위치한 조위 관측소의 조위 자료를 주기적인 운동을 보이는 조석 성분과 확률론적인 운동을 보이는 파고 성분으로 분리하고자 하였다. 자료 내 각각 세부적인 특성을 확인하기 위해 주파수 대역별 필터링이 가능한 이산형 웨이블릿 변환을 통해 자료를 6단계로 분해하였다. 분해된 각 성분 별 주기성 및 주파수 분석을 실시하여 조석 성분 및 파고 성분으로 분리하였으며, 최종적으로 자료 내 각각 66% 및 34%의 비중을 차지하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 활용한다면, 파고의 영향을 고려한 연안 지역의 홍수 관리의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In this paper, an auxiliary device was implemented to help blind people more safely from obstacles or risk factors while walking. The ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles in the front, so that the noise gap and the vibration intensity of the buzzer can be heard differently by distance and angle, and so the situation can be perceived by pedestrians. When the ambient light becomes darker than the light intensity set using the CdS resistance value of the light sensor, the LED automatically turns on, makes it easier for pedestrians to recognize the position of the auxiliary device through buzzer if the pedestrian misses the aid using the gyro sensor's slope. Moreover, the location and situation of the blind were transmitted to the caregiver to check safety and behavior using GPS and Bluetooth.

  • This study presented the basic data for determining reasonable construction method and evaluating the structural safety of suspension bridges. The analytical program was developed to conduct initial shape and natural frequency analysis, construction stage analysis and reliability analysis considering construction sequences. This program was based on analysis models of suspension bridges and reliability theories used in the previous study. A construction method was established considering various construction variables such as construction order and construction direction of girder and synchronized construction of main and side span etc. The dynamic construction analysis by a construction scheme was conducted with the developed program. Benefits of the characteristic analysis by the construction scheme was presented estimating structural response of critical members respectively. Structural reliability analysis by construction stage was conducted considering aleatory uncertainties. The safety of suspension bridges by established construction method was quantitatively estimated using reliability index and failure probability. Analytical results were re-estimated considering epistemic uncertainties, and critical percentile distributions of risk at the construction stage were presented using the frequency histogram.
