The Optimized Integration of Single-baseline GPS Solutions for Network-based Kinematic Positioning (네트워크 기반 키너매틱 위치결정을 위한 단일기선 GPS해의 최적 결합)

  • For several years, although the demand of high accuracy kinematic positing using multiple bases has been increased, most of the commercial GPS processing softwares can provide the single-baseline solutions only. Thus, we studied the methods to improve the accuracy of the kinematic positioning using the network configuration based on the several single-baseline solutions. As discussed in this study, the positioning accuracy as well as the network stability is improved by introducing the geodetic network adjustment theories into the kinematic positioning application. Three different methods to remove the rank-deficiency, RLESS, BLIMPBE and SCLESS, are analyzed in this study. The 3D RMS error has been improved from 3.5cm(max) to 2.1cm using the network-based kinematic positioning, and it is desired to choose BLIMPBE and SCLESS depending on the accuracy of the base stations.

  • 본 논문은 지상에 배치된 의사위성의 배치에 따른 측위 정확도 분석에 대한 연구결과이다. 의사위성의 배치 간격에 따라 수신기에서의 측위 정확도(DOP, Dilution of Precision)가 결정된다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 배치에 따른 측위 정확도를 이론적인 연구결과를 이용하여 분석한 결과를 제시하였다. 특히 의사위성의 배치 시 디지털 지형 지도를 이용하여 정확한 위치에서 계산 될 수 있도록 하였고 측위정확도를 계산하기 위한 프로그램을 구현하였다.

  • 긴급 SOS 시스템을 구축하기 위하여 빠르고 정확한 위치추적 기술의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 긴급한 상황에 처한 사람의 위치를 빠르고 정확하게 추적하기 위하여 핸드폰기지국 망을 이용한 광역위치추적 기술과 근거리 위치추적 기술로 제안된 능동형 위치추적 기술이 융합된 신개념의 긴급 SOS 시스템을 제안하고, 근거리 위치추적 기술인 능동형 위치추적 기술에 Zigbee 통신 방식을 적용하여 링크 버짓과 채널 모델을 이용한 근거리 위치추적 성능을 분석 하였다.

Analysis of Economic Effect of Accuracy Improvement in Location Based Services (개인위치정보 측위 고도화 정책의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • This paper analyzes quantitative economic effect of accuracy improvement in location based services. This analysis is motivated from the situation that Korea Communications Commission is preparing the notification for 'location accuracy standard.' The analysis includes three level of impacts. Firm level analyzes the impact on revenue of firms. Social level additionally includes consumers' surplus in LBS industry. Lastly, economywide level includes ripple effects to another industries, which uses input-output analysis. The result of analysis shows that the economic value reaches to considerable amount and cost-benefit ratio is considerably high. The consumers' surplus is much larger than revenue increase. This result supports the intuition that many of location based services are for public interest and that the services have much externalities among firms and consumers. This means that the role of government is very important in the execution of accuracy improvement.

  • For the efficient and stable operation of autonomous vehicles or advanced driver assistance systems being actively studied nowadays, it is important to determine the positions of the vehicle accurately and economically. A satellite based navigation system is mainly used for positioning, but it has a limitation in signal blockage areas. To overcome this limitation, sensor fusion methods including additional sensors such as an inertial navigation system have been mainly proposed but the high sensor cost has been a problem. In this work, we develop a vehicle position estimation algorithm using in-vehicle sensors and a low-cost imaging sensor without any expensive additional sensor. We determine the vehicle positions using the velocity and yaw-rate of a car from the in-vehicle sensors and the position and attitude of the camera based on the single photo resection process. For the evaluation, we built a prototype system, acquired test data using the system, and estimated the trajectory. The proposed algorithm shows the accuracy of about 40% higher than an in-vehicle sensor only method.

  • In recent days, some techniques to prevent from radar detection have been applied on aircraft system. RWR(Radar Warning Receiver) can be used for estimating the source location of the aircraft which emits radar pulse. Current existing method of localizing radar pulse emission source is using AOA(Angle Of Arrival) and most techniques are focused on finding exact AOA to find exact location. In this case, however, the exact AOA does not always result in finding exact source location while target aircraft is moving fast. In this paper, a localization method using the phase delay of the radar pulse's low frequency applies and so a scanning method for the interest area does in order to estimate exact source location by using phase delay.

The Improvement Method of Position Accuracy of Digital-Map in Small Area (소규모 지역에서 수치지도의 위치정확도 향상 방안에 관한 연구)

  • With increasing of utilization of 1/1,000 Digital-Map being constructed with NGIS project, it is entering upon the stage that problem as the inspection of position accuracy of Digital-Map before its use. This paper evaluated position accuracy of Digital-Map being based on the construction of college facility management system into small area and presented modification/renovation of Digital-Map on area being occurred position error. With a view to evaluation of position error to building using RTK survey, position error was shown more than 0.5mm that is prescribed in survey-law. In order to acquire good position accuracy, first we carried out Static survey to college and selected control point. And, we evaluated coordinate value to important building from control point and compared these results with RTK survey results. Second, we carried out Affine transform based on the control point of building being surveyed with RTK, transformed pre-constructed Digital-Map and compared these results with RTK Survey results. We analyzed first and second method and presented improvement method of position accuracy of Digital-Map suited on small area.

Evaluation of Airborne LiDAR Data using Field Surveyed Ground Control Points (현지 측량기준점을 이용한 LiDAR 데이터의 정확도 검증)

  • In this paper, airborne LiDAR data were evaluated in horizontal and vertical accuracy. By using zigzag scanning type of LiDAR, GCPs are not tested directly. So points around GCPs were used in this evaluation. Building corner points were made from LiDAR's building planar and compared with ground surveyed GCPs, in horizontal accuracy test. Its accuracy shows 19cm average and 21cm RMSE and 15 points were within 20cm among 16 points. In vertical accuracy test, 41 GCPs were used and it shows 11cm average and 14cm RMSE and 75% of GCPs were within 15cm. This could be a criterion in topographic map modification and basic geographic DB and 3D data construction using airborne LiDAR data.

Performance Analysis of the Localization Compensation Algorithm for Moving Objects Using the Least-squares Method (최소자승법을 적용한 이동객체 위치인식 보정 알고리즘 성능분석)

  • The localization compensation algorithm for moving objects using the least-squares method is suggested and the performance of the algorithm is analyzed in this paper. The suggested compensation algorithm measures the distance values of the mobile object moving as a constant speed by the TMVS (TWR Minimum Value Selection) method, estimates the location of the mobile node by the trilateration scheme based on the values, and the estimated location is compensated using the least-squares method. By experiments, it is confirmed that the localization performance of the suggested compensation algorithm is largely improved to 58.84% and 40.28% compared with the conventional trilateration method in the scenario 1 and 2, respectively.

  • LPMS(Loose Part Monitoring System)는 원자로 및 냉각재계통내에서 발생하는 금속파편의 검출 및 분석을 위하여 사용되는 진단 장비이다. 본 논문에서는 RPV(Reactor Pressure Vessel)의 상부헤드(closure head)와 하부헤드(lower head)에서의 금속파편의 충격위치를 평가하는 LPMS를 위한 새로운 기법을 제안하고, Mock-up에서의 실험을 통하여 그 효용성을 검증하였다. 즉, 수정된 원교차법을 제안하고, 이를 반구로 모델링된 RPV의 상ㆍ하부헤드에 존재하는 금속파편의 위치평가에 적용하므로써 정확한 충격위치를 찾을 수 있음을 보였다. 이들 결과는 충격물질의 질량이나 에너지를 계산하는데 정확한 정보를 제공해 줄 수가 있다.
