국립산림과학원 산림조사과에서는 지식정보화사업의 지원 하에 남한 전체 낱장/정사항공 사진 영상 DB툴 구축하고， 항공사진검색시스텀 (aerophoto.kfri.go. kr)을 개발하여 대국민 인터넷 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 5TB 대용량 항공사진 원본 영상과 메타자료를 웹 지리정보 서비스에 적합하도록 자료의 변환 방식，소프트웨어와 하드웨어의 최적 구성안, 그리고 응용 검색 시스템의 개발 기능을 소개 한다. 또한，항공사진 웹 검색 시스템은 벡터 지리정보와 항공사진 영상을 각각 전송하여 융합하고 분석하는 기능을 담당하는 클라이언트 모듈을 한정된 네트워크 환경에서 대용량 자료의 검색 속도 향상을 위하여 비동기식 처리 방식으로 개선하였다. 그리고 국가 지리정보 인프라인 정사항공사진 자료를 타 시스템과 연계 활용하기 위한 방안으로 ESRI ArcGIS 의 Plug-in 적용 사례를 제시한다.

국책기술 개발사업 연구성과와 국가 GIS 구축 기술개발사업 연구성과로 약 4억 원의 순수 연구개발비를 투입하여 개발한 순수자바 컴퓨팅 기술의 벡터형 공간정보 입출력 기능, 복합 공간분석 기능, 공간 데이터베이스 연동에 의한 저장, 관리, 색인, 질의 기능 등을 수행할 수 있는 웹 기반 GIS 공간 엔진 기술이다.

Ajax(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)를 이용한 표준 기반의 웹 응용프로그램 개발로 플러그인(Plug-In) 방식의 비표준 웹이 특정 브라우저에 종속적이지 않은 환경으로 변화하였다. 그러나 Ajax 타일지도는 몇 가지 한계점이 있으며 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 새로운 HTML5 표준과 인코딩 된 data-URL을 이용하여 레스터웹 지도 서비스에 활용될 수 있는 공간정보 전송 및 저장기법을 제안한다.

기존의 WebGIS는 구현방법에 따라서 서버중심과 클라이언트중심의 WebGIS모델로 구분할 수 있다. 서버중심의 WebGIS모델은 결과데이터가 이미지(JPG,GIF)로 클라이언트에 전송되므로 사용자는 기본적인 GIS 기능만을 처리할 수 있고, 데이터 확대 시 데이터가 손상되는 문제들이 있다. 클라이언트 중심의 WebGIS모델은 벡터데이터(Java-applet, ActiveCGM) 전송을 위해 고가의 특정 소프트웨어를 구입해야 하고, 플랫폼에 의존적이며, 표준화된 포맷이 아니므로 웹에서 데이터 상호 전송 및 호환의 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 WebGIS모델의 전반적인 분석을 통해서 각기 구축된 WebGIS의 구현방법과 문제점에 대해 고찰해 본다. 그리고 이런 문제점들이 대안인 XML(extensible Markup Language)으로 기술된 GML (Geographic Markup Language)과 SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics)를 이용한 WebGIS에 대한 연구와 향후 우리가 연구해야 할 방향에 대해 모색해 본다.

최근 정보화 사회에서 정보의 처리와 공유에 대한 관심이 크게 증가하지만 기존 지리정보시스템(GIS)이 갖고 있던 상호 이질적인 지형공간데이타 포맷을 가지고는 효율적인 정보의 처리와 공유가 어려운 형편이다. 이러한 지형공간데이타 포맷의 문제로 인해 지형공간 데이터의 중복수집의 문제가 발생하였으며, 또한 많은 시간과 경비가 중복 투자퇴고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지형공간 데이타 중복수집의 문제점을 효과적으로 해결하고, 이미 구축되어 있는 지형공간 데이타를 필요로 하는 사람들과 공유하고 유통하기 위하여 KGDC(Korean Geospatial Data Clearinghouse)를 설계 및 구현하였다. KGDC를 통하여 ESRI와 Intergraph사의 상용 지리정보시스템들의 데이타를 별도의 처리과정 없이 공유할 수 있으며, 또한 OGC(OpenGIS Consortium)의 OpenGIS 구현명세에 기술되어 있는 표준 OpenGIS 인터페이스를 지원하는 지형공간 데이타 서버의 데이타도 효과적으로 공유할 수 있다. 특히, KGDC는 다양한 검색 기능과 다양한 정보를 제공하여 손쉬운 지형공간 데이타의 공유 및 유통을 가능하게 하며, 검색을 위한 정보와 검색의 결과로 이용하기 위해 ISO/TC211 표준 메타데이타를 부분적으로 지원하고 있다.

지리정보의 중요성이 널리 인식되고 사회 각 분야에서 지리정보에 대한 수요가 날로 증가되고 다양해지고 있지만 GIS의 개발, 설치, 유지, 보수의 어려움에 따른 고가의 비용과 시장에 대한 적응력부족으로 GIS의 광범위한 활용이 저해 받고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 개인을 위한 GIS 서비스나 응용프로그램의 하나의 기능 컴포넌트로서의 GIS 서비스가 GIS의 주류로 발전할 것으로 예측되고 있지만 이를 지원하기 위한 GIS 개발, 배포 모델과 기반기술이 결여되어 있다. 그러나, 사용자가 월 정액요금을 지불하고 인터넷 또는 인트라넷을 통하여 ASP (Application Service Provider)에 의해 원격 중앙 서버에 설치, 관리되고 있는 소프트웨어 응용프로그램을 사용하는 형식은 혁신적인 소프트웨어 개발과 배포 모델로서 차세대 컴퓨터 환경의 기초로 각광 받고 있으며 이를 GIS에 적용할 때 GIS의 광범위한 응용과 원활한 유통을 크게 추진할 것으로 기대된다. 그러므로, 현시점에서 GIS ASP를 위한 합리적인 모델과 이에 근거한 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 대한 연구와 개발이 절실히 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ASP 환경 하에서 더욱 신속하고 편리한 GIS 개발, 통합, 배포를 가능하게 하고 보다 나은 질의 GIS ASP 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 마이크로소프트의 ASP 플랫폼인 .NET 기반의 3 계층 GIS ASP 모델을 중심으로 하는 GIS ASP 소프트웨어 플랫폼의 설계를 제시하였다.

Due to the rapid advance in web and mobile computing technologies, normal users have become to produce, provide, and share a varied form of spatial data and information. In the domain of spatial information, numerous researches on GIS have been conducted to provide spatial information services based on a geo-sensor network and a data integration and processing technology. However, to provide user-oriented information, a context information model is necessary to associate GIS data with web and sensor data. Context awareness services is designed to provide specific information, minimizing users' interference. For which, the context information model expresses the relationship of various data from sensor networks and mobile applications and provides a user-specific information considering location and area of interest. Thus, this research aims to develops a context information model based air-pollution information system that obtains and analyses air pollution data and reflects the analysis results on an air-pollution policy. Also, this system aims to raise citizens' awareness on air-pollution and to promote citizens' participatory to improve city's air quality.

지리정보데이터는 공간개념을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 대부분 2차원 평면 위주의 공간 자료로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 GIS 데이터는 2차원 평면위주의 공간자료보다 3차원 공간자료를 기반으로 한 시각화를 통하여 다차원적인 분석이 가능해지고 있다. 최근 인터넷 환경에서 구동되는 3D GIS의 중요성이 인식되기 시작하였고, 3D GIS는 초기에는 지형을 단순히 3차원 가시화 하는 기능 위주에서 최근 3차원 지형분석, 3차원 도시, 3차원 시설물 등의 현실감 있는 모델링과 분석기능을 제공하는 단계는 물론, 가상현실 기능이 강조된 3D GIS까지 등장하는 단계에 이르렀다. 본 연구에서는 GIS 툴(ArcView)을 사용하여 대학캠퍼스의 부지, 구조물 및 시설물의 3D GIS를 구축할 수 있었으며 3D 모델링을 통해 다양한 각도에서의 조감도 작정과 경관분석을 행하였고 향후 시설물 확충에 따른 공간활용계획의 기본 자료로서 그 활용성을 검토하고자 하였다 이것은 GIS의 가장 발전적 형태인 Web GIS구축을 위한 인터넷 데이터베이스로서 정보 공유와 조회는 물론 사용자 측면의 분석까지 가능하도록 이용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 추후 웹 GIS 기법을 적용하여 캠퍼스의 3차원 관리를 위해 웹서버를 구축하고 2D를 기반으로 한 인터넷 맵의 한계를 벗어나 3D 모델링으로 웹상에서 사용자에게 다각도의 3차원 공간을 구현함으로써 2차원 데이터와 더불어 3차원 공간영상의 공유가 가능하도록 시도하고자 한다.

There are currently tremendous amount of geotechnical information saved, which has been qcquired for essential application of site selection, plan, design, constructin, repari in the builing work. However, due to the lack of the location data attribute, there has been a trouble in its analysis and GIS implementation. In this study, the geotechnical information aquisition program(PGeo) for real-time database in the field and geotechnical information reporting program(GeoReport) by Web-GIS for additional data input and its reporting function has been developed.

A large suite of official statistical data sets has been compiled for geographical units under the national directives, and it is the quantitative regional analysis procedures that could add values to them. This paper reports our attempts at prototyping a statistical GIS which is capable of serving over the Web a variety of regional analysis routines as well as value-added statistics and maps. A pilot database of some major statistical data was ingested for the city of Seoul. The baseline subset of regional analysis methods of practical usage was selected and accommodated into the business logic of the target system, which ranges from descriptive statistics, regional structure/inequality measures, spatial ANOVA, spatial (auto) correlation to regression and residual analysis. The leading-edge information technologies including the application server were adopted in the system design and implementation so that the database, analysis modules and analytic mapping components may cooperate seamlessly behind the Web front-end. The prototyped system supports tables, maps, and files of downloadable format for input and output of the analyses. One of the most salient features of out proposed system is that both the database and analysis modules are extensible via the bi-directional interface for end users; The system provides users with operators and parsers for algebraic formulae such that the stored statistical variables may be transformed and combined into the newly-derived set of variables. This functionality eventually leads to on-the-fly fabrication of user-defined regional analysis algorithms. The stored dataset may also be temporarily augmented by user-uploaded dataset; The extension of this form, in essence, results in a virtual database which awaits for users commands as usual. An initial evaluation of the proposed system confirms that the issues involving the usage and dissemination of information can be addressed with success.
