플래시 저장장치는 순차 쓰기패턴에 높은 성능을 보이고, 랜덤 쓰기패턴에 낮은 성능을 보인다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 실제 응용 프로그램은 동작 방식에 따라 복합적인 패턴을 보일 수 있다. 본 논문은 대표적인 모바일 응용으로서 웹 브라우저 응용의 파일시스템 접근 특성을 정량적으로 분석하고자 한다. 최근에 안드로이드 스마트 폰에 채택된 Ext4 파일시스템을 기준으로 웹 브라우저 응용의 파일시스템 요청들을 성능개선점을 지적하고자 한다.

일반적인 사이버 범죄 중에서 포탈사이트 게시판에 명예를 훼손할 목적으로 글을 올린 경우를 생각해보자. 인터넷 웹브라우저 내용을 출력하거나 화면캡쳐 도구를 이용하여 생성한 파일은 웹브라우저 내용을 클라이언트가 임의로 수정하여 출력하거나 화면캡쳐 파일을 수정할 가능성이 존재하고 무결성 보장이 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 실제 내컴퓨터의 모니터에서 보이는 화면은 얼마든지 조작이 가능함을 예를 들어 보일 것이며 화면캡쳐 파일의 무결성 보장을 위한 시스템을 제시하려고 한다.

사용자의 접속 빈도를 분석하여 즐겨 찾기 사이트를 구성하는 크롬의 Front Page는 매우 유용한 기능이나 해당 브라우저에서만 사용할 수 있다는 제약이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 웹 브라우저에 대한 제약을 받지 않고 사용자의 취향에 맞는 웹 브라우저에서 Front Page를 구성할 수 있는 MyHome에 대해 기술하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 일반적인 HTML 브라우저의 구조 및 WML 브라우저의 구조를 연구하고, 각 브라우저와 다루는 마크업 언어의 차이점들을 고려하여 서로 다른 마크업 언어를 모두 처리할 수 있는 통합 브라우저의 구조를 제안하고, 설계시 고려할 부분 및 각 브라우저의 모듈을 공통으로 사용할 수 있는 구조를 설계하여, 이를 투선 인터넷 서비스 시스템에 적용한다.

KT 홈엔(HomeN) TV포탈 MiniMOD(Music On Demand) 서비스에 적용되어 있는 TV기반의 웹브라우저 상주서비스용 시스템을 소개하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 웹브라우저 네비게이션과 독립적으로 동작하는 기능으로써 상주서비스 적용시 셋탑박스 플랫폼 수정없이 서비스 적용이 가능하게 하는 시스템이다. 따라서 본고에서는 TV기반 웹브라우저 상주서비스용 시스템의 개요, 시스템의 구축배경 및 목적, 시스템의 구성요소 등을 알아보고 앞으로의 발전방향에 대해 진단해보고자 한다.

인터넷 및 휴대폰들이 일반화되고 음성처리 기술이 실용화 단계로 발전함에 따라 음성 응용분야가 새로운 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 음성처리 기술은 사람의 말을 알아들을 수 있는 귀와 사람에게 말을 할 수 있는 입을 마련해주는 새로운 분야다. 그리고, 음성으로 웹의 컨텐츠를 개발하기 위한 표준 언어인 VoiceXML, SALT가 빠르게 보급되고 있다. 음성인식과 음성합성 기술이 꾸준히 발전하여 음성 포털 서비스나 자동 음성 안내 시스템 등에 음성인식과 음성합성 기술이 채택되는 등 상용화 수준에 이르렀다. 사람에게 가장 편리한 정보 습득 방법은 음성이고 이러한 음성을 적용한 음성 웹 브라우저를 현재 유선 상에서 사용하고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 무선 플랫폼에 적용하여 사용하는 브라우저는 개발되지 않고 있다. 사용자에게 친숙한 무선인터넷 환경을 제공하고자 무선 음성 웹 브라우저를 구현방안을 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문은 음성 인식이 가능한 브라우저를 이용하여 가전을 제어하기 위한 서비스 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 가전기기 제어 서비스 시스템에서는, 웹 브라우저 실행 장치가 홈 서버로부터 가전기기 제어를 위한 웹 페이지를 불러와 명령 리스트를 사용자에게 들려주면, 사용자는 필요한 명령을 선택하여 음성으로 입력하고, 웹 브라우저 실행 장치가 이를 인식하여 홈 서버로 전송함으로써, 홈 서버가 사용자의 음성 명령에 따라 각종 가전기기들을 제어한다.

Before the Internet was available, most application programs were executed using terminals, connected to host computers, as standard input output devices. The Internet is popular today and many services are provided on web browsers connected to the Internet. Since the standard I/O method used for terminals is different from the communication I/O methods used for web browsers, it is not possible to execute many application programs developed for the conventional terminals on web browsers. In this paper, we describe Web Input Output(WEBIO) library that enables application programs conventional on terminals to be executed on web browsers by recompilation without source modification. The WEBIO libraries for C and Prolog languages have been developed and they are under test now.

Korea is one of the most advanced countries in the world in terms of information technologies (IT) applications and usages. However, its web browser market is so dominated by one company, and its web cross browsing according to international guidelines isquestioned. In this research, we have empirically examined web cross browsing of web sites of major companies and pubic institutions in Korea through different web browsers which conform international guidelines. In general, web cross browsing through Firefox was lower by 19% than that through Internet Explorer. Web cross browsing of public institutions was better than that of companies, and financial institutions were the worst. Typical cross browsing problems found with Firefox were inability to pay online, failure to play multimedia contents, and frame display errors. Causes of web cross browsing problems and suggestions for improving cross browsing are discussed.
