Usefulness of Web-based Education System as a Method Supporting Constructive Pre-service Teacher Education (구성주의 교사양성교육을 지원하는 방안으로서 웹 기반 교육 체제의 유용성)

  • In this study, we applied a web-based education system to the teaching-demonstrations of the pre-service teachers and identified the usefulness of the system as a method supporting constructive education for pre-service teachers. The pre-service teachers performed the web-based activities for the teaching-demonstrations, and we interviewed them after the teaching-demonstrations. On the basis of the results, we found three situations showing the usefulness of the web-based education system. First, the pre-service teachers examined the materials on the constructive teaching-learning theories and constructed the related theoretical knowledge. At this point the web-based discussion board supported the environment where they thought deeply and investigated the theories carefully. Second, they experienced interaction with others and the academic adviser in the processes of preparing the teaching-demonstrations. This interaction was supported by web-based discussion board, and they were able to form the practical knowledge related to the planning and building constructive teaching. Third, they reflected on their own teaching after the teaching-demonstrations. At this point, the web-based discussion board was able to facilitate the interaction for the reflective thinking processes. In this study, we identified that the web-based education system could provide an effective environment where the pre-service teachers could learn constructive teaching-learning methods.

  • 'Interactivity' is considered as a key factor of user-centered interactive instructional systems design in Web environments. To provide an optimal level of interactivity for learners is an ideal goal in instructional systems design(ISD) process. Based on the primary concern of interactive systems design which pursues how the power of interactivity can be utilized and put to work, several interactive design strategies in Web-based systems are recommended through this research.

  • In this paper, we present a Web-based reading system. The existing Web-based reading systems have not provided adequate interactivity among students, teachers and parents so that those systems could not achieve good effects. Our system is designed and implemented to reinforce interactivity using advanced communication technologies. The design principle is based on the constructivism so that we let students learn for themselves. Our system also provide various evaluation processes for enhancing students' understanding.

  • 정보통신 분야의 혁신적인 기술개발로 최근 인터넷 기술을 이용한 다양한 분야에서 응용이 활발해지고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화는 인터넷 서비스의 하나인 웹의 사용과 함께 교육분야에도 원격, 가상교육이라는 대안적 교육 체제를 탄생하게 하였다. 웹 이전의 교육용 시스템들은 텍스트나 간단한 그래픽 기반의 단방향의 학습과 평가가 가능했었다면, 웹의 분산 환경 제공으로 양방향의 상호 작용적 학습이 가능해졌을 뿐만 아니라 실시간 학습과 평가를 가능하게 해 주었다. 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 문제은행 시스템의 장점을 이용하여 학습자의 평가 정보를 시스템이 분석하고 학습자의 수준에 맞는 문제를 제공함으로써 수준별 학습이 가능하도록 하였을 뿐만 아니라 학습자에게 가장 많이 틀린 단원의 문제에 대해서 보충학습의 기회를 제공함으로써 학습효과를 극대화할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • The purpose of the research is to designing of web-based expert system in assessment, programming, evaluation for infants and young children with developmental disability. For this purpose, research articles such as curriculum-based assessment evaluation, web-based expert system, use of the computer technology in special education were analyzed. The design of web-based expert system for infants and young children with developmental disability connected with information analysis, optimum levels, data collection, data analysis, decision-making, and intervention.

  • This study examined contents of interaction that played an important role in learners' accomplishment of educational goals at web-based educational system. The purpose of the study was to find out design strategies of web-based education website that could give learners more satisfactory interaction. The study firstly investigated concept and values of web-based education as well as interaction by literature study to analyze web-based educational design principles at actual web-based education websites from point of view of interaction and to examine what factors should be used and reinforced at existing teaching. The findings were as follow: Web-based education websites made use of interaction with 'each design factor', such as colors, texts and images, etc that were based on communication designs to give 'information' by systematic interaction more than by social interaction.

  • Operating Systems is a discipline which handles complex and concepts related to its components and how an operating system works. However, most of the OS courses have been textbook-oriented theoretical classes. Therefore, many instructors have tried to make use of educational tools to help students understand a lecture and arouse their interests consistently. This paper describes the design and implementation of a web-based page replacement simulator which shows the process of page replacement algorithms visually. The academic achievement evaluation and t-test results for 2010's students and 2011's show that the differences of the correct answer ratios for the exam about page replacement algorithms and the scores between two groups are meaningful. And the results of survey show that a page replacement simulator is useful as an educational tool which causes the interests about operating systems and enhances the understanding of a lecture.

  • After that Internet was introduced to Korea, Web page has developed from text centered to graphic-centered at its fist stage. At the present, it is improving to a design for users. Furthermore, with the acceleration of Information super-highway construction and generalization of basic technology for multi-media, the educational environment has transformed to demander-focused and internet basis service which transcends time and space. Consequently, the educational structure is converting from instructors unilateral lead to student-centered. Additionally, the common usage and digitalization of information have an effect on progress of education quality and cost saving. Although there are plenty of educational web pages on internet, we can notice that many of them are inconvenient for users to put into practice. The reason is that many experts overlook the fundamental which is the basic skill for design and understanding of Web must be accompanied with Web design. Therefore, this thesis will find out the points users should consider for use of Web page and realize the educational web page, reflected for VRML training.

  • 인터넷 웹 기반 교수-학습체제는 학습자 위주의 교육환경으로 변화하였고, 웹 환경에서도 학습자에게는 시간과 공간의 제약에서 벗어나 다양한 교육정보를 접할 수 있는 원격교육시스템이 대두하고 있다. 인터넷의 발달은 교육환경에도 많은 변화를 가져오고 있다. 이러한 변화는 인터넷을 이용한 웹기반 원격교육이 여러 분야에서 폭넓게 응용되고 있음을 대변하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 하지만 기존의 원격강의시스템의 경우 교사가 학습할 내용들을 파일형태로 업로드해 놓으면 학습자가 다운로드하여 쓰는 방식이어서 많은 전송비용과 강의내용 구성이 단순한 텍스트 위주의 형태로 구성되어 학습자의 학습효과가 의문시 되었다. 이는 학습자 위주의 자기 주도학습에 많은 어려움을 유발시켰다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 고등학교 정보산업교과의 [인터넷] 단원에 대한 학습을 체계적으로 언제 어디서나 학습할 수 있도록 이론과 실기강의내용을 웹을 통하여 교육에서 요구되는 음성과 교재 판서의 기능을 웹상에서 구현할 수 있도록 되어 있다. 이런 멀티미디어 자료들이 동기화되어 자기 주도적 학습을 할 수 있는 멀티미디어 원격강의시스템을 구현하였다. 본 연구의 원격강의시스템은 멀티미디어자료 들을 활용한 원격강의시스템이기 때문에 개별화된 교육과 자기 주도적 학습을 통해 시ㆍ공간의 제약을 받지 않고 학습 할 수있는 진정한 원격강의시스템이다.

Design and Implementation of an Automated Building System for Cyber School (사이버스쿨 자동 구축 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, Linux operating system is used for web server environment, but to build web server applications need to be operated many related softwares, such as installing web server, web and database system integration and programming for script language. Most of schools in korea do not have computer specialist for building web server or cyber school. In this paper, we describe design and implementation of an automated building system(AnyBuilder) for cyber school. AnyBuilder build web-based cyber school system, just clicking a few of button and some commands. Especially, it has two phases to build cyber school, one is to generate empty web-based cyber school and the other is to upload contents of lecture.
