Development of an Automated Design System for Oil Pumps with Multiple Profiles(Circle, Ellipse and Involute) (원, 타원 및 인벌루트 조합된 치형형상을 갖는 로터 개발)

  • A internal lobe pump is suitable for oil hydraulics of machine tools, automotive engines, compressors, constructions and other various applications. In particular, the pump is an essential machine element of an automotive engine to feed lubricant oil. The subject of this paper is the theoretical analysis of internal lobe pump whose the main components are the rotors: usually the outer one is characterized by lobe with elliptical and involute shapes, while the inner rotor profile is determined as conjugate to the other. And the integrated system which is composed of three main modules has been developed through AutoLISP under AutoCAD circumstance. It generates new lobe profile and calculates automatically the flow rate and flow rate irregularity according to the lobe profile generated. Results obtained from the analysis enable the designer and manufacturer of oil pump to be more efficient in this field.

  • Corrugated webs have been used for composite prestressed concrete box girder bridges. Innovative steel plate girders using corrugated webs have been proposed. It has been found that analytical and experimental researches conducted to determine the strength of trapezoidally corrugated webs can fail with respect to three different buckling modes: local, global, and interactive shear buckling. Shear buckling capacity equations based on classical and orthotropic plate buckling theories have been proposed,but these equations show some differences. In this paper, geometric parameters that influence interactive shear buckling behavior with interaction effects are identified via extensive bifurcation buckling analysis using the finite element meth.

  • In this paper we described an approach to automation of visual inspection of solder joint defects of SMC(Surface Mounted Components) on PCBs(Printed Circuit Board) by using neural network and fuzzy rule-based classification method. Inherently the surface of the solder joints is curved tiny and specular reflective it induces difficulty of taking good image of the solder joints. And the shape of the solder joints tends to greatly vary with the soldering condition and the shapes are not identical to each other even though the solder joints belong to a set of the same soldering quality. This problem makes it difficult to classify the solder joints according to their qualities. Neural network and fuzzy rule-based classification method is proposed to effi-ciently make human-like classification criteria of the solder joint shapes. The performance of the proposed approach is tested on numerous samples of commercial computer PCB boards and compared with the results of the human inspector performance and the conventional Kohonen network.

A Study on the Aerodynamic Load Characteristics of an Elliptic Airfoil (타원형 날개의 공력 특성 연구)

  • Using a wind tunnel testing, the aerodynamic load characteristics of an elliptic airfoil was described. The experimental data was obtained for angles of attack $-20^{\circ}$ to $+20^{\circ}$ with $2^{\circ}$ increments at a chord Reynolds number of $0.99{\times}105$ and $2.48{\times}105$. For each test case, chordwise suction pressure distributions and wake surveys were obtained. Static pressure measurements were made over a 10 sec averaging time at a 10 Hz sampling rate. For each case, wake survey was conducted with a pilot-static probe at 1.0c downstream from the trailing edge at very fine spacing to resolve the wake velocity deficit profile. As can be expected, suction pressure coefficient was increased with angle of attack. The normal force, CNmax, appeared peak value at the incidence angle of $12^{\circ}~14^{\circ}$, and the significant increase in profile drag at this range of angles of attack.

  • In the sheet metal forming process, the drawbead is used to control the flow of material during the forming process. The drawbead provides proper restraining force to the material and prevents defe cts such as wrinkling or breakage. For these reasons, many studies for designing the effective drawbead have been conducted. In this paper, the effect of the drawbead shape will be introduced. For the analysis, the numerical method called the static-explicit finite element method was used. The finite element analysis code for this method has been developed and applied to the drawbead process problems. In result, convergence problem and computation time due to large non-linearity in the existing numerical analysis methods were no longer a critical problem. Futhermore, this approach could treat the contact friction problem easily by applying very small time intervals. It is expected that various results from the numerical analysis will give very useful information for the design of tools in sheet metal forming process.

  • After scientific verification of the osteointegration of dental implants, the overall efficiency of dental implants has been generally accepted. Thus, implants now play a major role in the clinical treatment of an edentulous mandible, and in the prosthetic maintenance equipment for partial edentulous mandible patients. Yet, for the successful long-term maintenance of implants, careful consideration of the bio-mechanics is needed to ensure that the maximum stress in the mandible as a result of chewing is maintained under a critical value. Accordingly, this study focuses on reducing the maximum stresses in an implanted mandible, especially in the cortical bone. Thus, the stresses in the implant and mandible are analyzed using finite element packages, including I-DEAS and NISA II/DISPLAY III, using a local zooming technique for a concentrated stress analysis. In addition, the von-Mises stress and principal stress in the mandible are both checked to determine the best combination.

피라미드 형상 및 반사방지막 조건에 따른 태양전지 효율 개선

  • 태양에너지는 신재생 에너지 중에서 무한한 에너지원으로서 태양에너지에 대한 활발한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중에서도 결정형 실리콘 태양전지에 대해 다양한 연구가 진행 중이다. 이러한 실리콘 태양전의 제작은 실리콘 식각 용액을 이용하여 기판의 절삭 손상된 부분을 식각한 후 텍스쳐링(texturing) 공정을 통해 표면의 흡수율을 높이고, 반면에 반사율을 감소시킨다. 텍스쳐링 공정이 끝난 후 도핑 공정을 통해 에미터(emitter)를 형성, 반사방지막을 증착, 기판의 전면과 후면에 페이스트를 바르고 스크린인쇄법으로 전극을 형성한 후 마지막으로 형성된 전극을 소성 공정을 통해 전극이 에미터와 접촉하면 태양전지가 완성된다. 하지만 텍스쳐링 공정을 통해 만들어진 피라미드 구조는 도핑공정을 하게 되면, 꼭짓점 부분의 균일한 도핑이 이루어지지 않는다. 이러한 균일하지 않은 공정으로 인해 전극 소성 공정에서 일부의 에미터층을 뚫어버리게 되므로 누설전류가 증가하게 된다. 그래서 본 논문에서는, 변환 효율을 개선시키기 위해 표면 구조와 반사방지막의 열처리 공정에 대한 연구를 하였다. 우선 피라미드 구조를 균일하게 만들었으며, 반사방지막 형성 후 열처리를 하여 소수 캐리어 수명을 증가시켰으며, 누설전류를 감소하였다. 균일한 도핑 및 전극 형성을 용이하게 하는 부드러운 피라미드 구조를 형성하기 위해 HND (HF:HNO3 : D.I wafer=5 : 100 : 100) 용액을 사용하여 식각하였다. 그 결과 직렬저항은 NHD용액을 사용하여 300초 동안 식각하였을 때 $1.284{\Omega}$ 낮아지는 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 도핑을 균일화하여 누설전류를 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • A cause of noise and vibration which come from a Combustion of gas heater are a combustion roar and Combustion oscillation. A character of a combustion roar is that sound pressure is distribute with broad band frequency. otherwise, The presence of combustion oscillation caused by positive Feed Back in Combustion Chamber break out a noise and vibration. Accordingly, The method that be solved a noise and vibration is to make each natural frequency different frequency. first, in order to solve problem, we control ratio of fuel and air. that is, Keep away resonance. second, in order to changing natural frequency of Combustion Chamber, We changed the shape of Economizer.

  • 배전선로는 항상 각종 공작물과 아주 가까운 상태에서 존재하고 있어 배전선로 근접 작업 시 전력선에 근접으로 인한 섬락 또는 접촉으로 작업원이 감전 재해를 입을 수 있으며 또는 비, 바람, 조류 등에 의한 이물 접촉으로 설비 고장을 유발 시킬 수 있다. 이러한 감전재해 및 설비고장을 예방하기 위하여 22.9kV-y 전력선의 직선부분에 사용할 수 있는 직선형 방호관을 개발하여 건설현장 주변의 전력선에 방호조치 함으로서 전력선 근접 작업 시 작업종사자의 안전 확보에 이바지함은 물론 정전사고방지에도 크게 기여하여 왔다. 그러나 22.9kV-y 배전선로의 점퍼선부분과 변압기의 인상선 등 곡선으로 되었거나 구불구불한 형상으로 된 부위는 직선형 방호관으로는 방호조치가 불가능하여 산업안전보건법이 정한 산업안전기준에 관한 규칙 제327조 제2호에 의한 방호조치를 취하지 않고 근접작업이 진행되어 감전재해와 정전사고가 발생되어 왔었다. 한전에서 협력업체와 공동으로 연구개발한 소용돌이형 점퍼선방호관을 그동안 방호조치를 취하지 못한 점퍼선이나 구불구불한 전력선부위에 방호조치를 함으로서 감전재해의 예방과 정전사고 발생을 획기적으로 감소시킬 것으로 기대된다.

  • A small amount of misch metal and/or Zr was added as a dopant to 70.5wt----Cu-26wt----Zn-3.5wt----Al shape memory alloy in order to study the effect of grain refinement and heat treatments on the transformation behavior, stabilization of martensite, and shape memory ability. It was found that the addition of misch metal and Zr was very effective for reducing the grain size. The fracture mode has been changed from intergranular brittle fracture to ductile fracture with void formation and coalescence by the addition of misch metal and Zr. Aging of the ${\beta}$-phase decreases the $M_s$ temperature, but that of the martensite phase increases the $A_s$ temperature. The hysteresis of transformation temperature ${\Delta}T(A_s-M_s)$ has an increasing tendancy by grain refinement. The crystal structure of martensite was identified as monoclinic structure. As the grain size decreased, martensite stabilization more easily occured and the shape, memory ability has been reduced by the grain size refined.
