High gain and broad bandwidth antenna design using cylindrical magneto material (원통형 자성체를 이용한 고이득 및 광대역 안테나 설계)

  • This paper describes patch antenna design method of antenna high gain and broad bandwidth using cylindrical magneto material around feeding line. Strong current induction method applied combination to generate magnetic fields around feeding line for antenna high gain characteristic and principle of PIFA designed application for design of antenna broadband. In case of single CMM, gain increased 3.96 dB compare with the reference antenna gain however bandwidth characteristic not increased compare with the reference antenna. In case of dual CMM, gain improved about 10 dB compare with the reference antenna and -10 below bandwidth is 700 MHz(50 MHz~750 MHz) with this paper designed high gain characteristic.

  • In this study, we have performed systematical FEM analysis for design of open-ended 3-layer magnetic shield. For the simulation to calculated shielding factors, the relative permeability was varied in the range of $2{\times}10^3\sim1{\times}10^5$, and the length of the magnetic cylinders and length difference between layers were changed. We found that the shielding factor of -60 dB were obtained with the relative permeability of over 20000 and the lengths of magnetic layers of 40 cm, 45 cm and 50 cm, and the uniform magnetic field could be obtained in the range of $10cm{\times}10cm-\phi$.

  • This paper proposes a simulation design for feeding probe with the CMM(Cylindrical Magneto Material) structure for broad bandwidth of a dipole type antenna. In order to ensure low frequency bandwidth, the magnetic material with high relative permeability was considered in design calculation. It was confirmed that the broad bandwidth was independent on the relative permeability value and depended on the control of distance($r_m$) between magnetic material and feeding probe, and of magnetic material thickness($t_m$). Furthermore, an antenna size with the CMM was miniaturized about 18 % comparison with its size without the CMM.

  • Magnetic force calculation methods such as Maxwell stress, virtual work principle, equivalent magnetic charge, and equivalent magnetizing current are widely used until now. The force density is still controversial issue even though it is common sense that all of these methods have legitimate results. The surface force densities of each method are quite different with each other in the point of numerical result and final expression. In this paper, it is shown that a unified expression of body force density is derived using virtual air-gap scheme for an analytic model in which cylindrical magnetic material with a vertical current runs through its center.

Operation Frequency Dependence of Output of Orthogonal Fluxgate Sensor Fabricated with Ferrite Core (페라이트 코어를 이용하여 제작한 직교형 플럭스게이트 센서의 감도에 미치는 구동주파수의 영향)

  • In this study, we have investigated that the operation frequency dependences of the output properties of the orthogonal fluxgate sensor which was fabricated with a ferrite core. An orthogonal fluxgate sensor should be operated in as high as possible frequency to enhance its sensitivity in the case of small sized sensor, because sensitivity of the sensor is proportional to cross section area, winding number and operation frequency. In this study, we investigated the correspondence of the frequency dependence of output and the reactance (inductance and capacitance) of pickup coil and cable. Experimental results represented that we could obtain maximum output (= sensitivity) at optimal frequency which is near LC resonance frequency of the pickup coil and cable.

EEM Analysis of Open-Typed Cylindrical Shieldcase (양끝이 열린 실드케이스의 FEM해석)

  • Four-shell open-typed shield case was analyzed using 3D FEM. Analysis Dimension was $2m{\times}2m{\times}2m$. Length of shield case was 0.6m and its diameter was 0.1m, 0.08., 0.06m and 0.04m. Thickness and permeablility of shield case was all 1mm and 50,000. The excited magneic fields were earth magneic fields, which were 24A/m in the holizontal direction and 36A/m in the vertical direction, respectively. During FEM analysis, shield case was located at the direction of holizontal magnetic field and was rotated $90^{\circ}$. Magnetic field was $4.45{\times}10^{-2}A/m$ at the direction of holizontal magnetic field and $6.66{\times}10^{-4}A/m$ at the $90^{\circ}$ rotated direction.
