An Implementation of Realtime Remote-Monitoring System for Distributed Photovoltaic Power Plants (분산형 태양광 발전 시스템을 위한 실시간 원격 모니터링 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time remote monitoring system for distributed solar power generation system. The proposed system consists of PVC, UTC, OTC and monitoring server. PVC collects the operational information from the PV's inverter via serial interface. The sensing data is transmitted to the server by wireless communications and stored in the DB server. The PV's status is monitored via UTC, and the operating of PVC and UTC are managed by OTC. In addition, by providing information about the power generated by PV system and failure diagnosis in real time, the proposed system shows the possibility of reducing the maintenance costs and improved failure recovery time.

  • 전력계통의 원방감시제어시스템(SCADA)은 원방의 전력계동을 화면에 표시하고 감시하며 필요한 제어명령을 실행하는 시스템을 말한다. 철도청의 기존 전력계통 제어시스템은 UNIX를 기반으로 하여 특별히 교육 받은 운용자만이 감시제어 및 관리할 수 있고 구축비용이 많이 소요되며 지역 사무소에서 운용되기 때문에 원격지의 전력계통 사고의 경우 시스템 운용자는 현장의 근무자와 연락하여 사고의 원인을 파악하고 조치해야 하는 단점이 있다. 또한 새로운 통합 SCADA 시스템이 구축되면서 기존 지역사무소에서 운용하던 전력계통 제어시스템이 없어지고 중요 역사마다 지역사무소의 전력계통 제어시스템을 대체할 수 있는 소규모 전력계통 제어시스템의 설치가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 UNIX를 기반으로 한 SCADA 시스템의 기능을 모두 수용하고 현장의 근무자들이 쉽게 감시제어 및 유지보수까지도 할 수 있는 경제적인 전력 계통 제어시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 소규모 전력 계통 제어시스템을 개발하기 위해 Cimon 이라는 산업자동화프로그램을 이용하였으며 철도청 철암 역사에 직접 시스템을 설치하여 원격소 장치(RTU)와 새로 추가 설치된 전자식배전반을 동시에 수용할 수 있는 소규모 전력계통 제어시스템을 개발하고 실험하였다.

  • Because most of vehicle provide users with the very limited information regarding the performance of vehicle, it is quite difficult for users to drive vehicles safe, and to maintain and repair vehicles properly. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, several ways of research and development for the vehicle control and diagnosis system have been recently carried out. However, a lot of complicated problems and difficulties were arising due to the complexity of the developed system, degradation of the reliability for the vehicle performance control system, operational malfunction and so on. In this paper, for the purpose of solving the difficult problems and technical limitations, a system for vehicle performance which might be able to diagnose the reliability of vehicle performance by measuring and analyzing the real time performance of vehicle using the satellite telemetry technology was conmance oly defined and deehiced.hihe results derived from the cormance ofdvehiclactivities in this study shall be used as not only fundamental data but also materials for the detailed design for the implementation of vehicle performance diagnosis system in the near future.

  • This paper presents a system that remotely monitors lone seniors at home and promptly alarms caregivers to recommend appropriate medical care services upon detecting abnormal behavior and critical conditions such as collapsing, excessive coughing, degradation of sleep quality, fever, and unusual indoor moving lines. Our system offers contactless monitoring techniques based on heterogeneous IoT sensors and deep learning to minimize the disruption to lone senior's daily life. In addition to the design and implementation of the sensor data collection and analysis system, we share our experience in installation, deployment, configuration, maintenance of the system through the case study conducted on the actual lone seniors living in Seoul Metropolitan. Based on our research, we recommend further development directions to prepare for the nationwide expansion of our system.

  • To assess hydraulic connections between sub-components of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) diagnostic port plug, the laser welding and ablation cutting process were investigated in order to be applied the remote handling maintenance. In this study, laser ablation cutting, which vaporizes a small amount of solid material directly into gas by focusing a laser beam of high density energy, is adopted in order to overcome the limitation of the normal laser cutting technology that the head should be placed as close to the work piece as possible to blow out melt metal at a distance. Complete cutting of a work piece is obtained by repetitive multi-passes of the laser beam. The welding and cutting process were tested on the sample work pieces and finally on a prototype of a hydraulic connection module for remote handling. The results showed that this process can be a promising candidate for hydraulic connections by remote handling.

  • The Advanced Spent Fuel Conditioning Process(ACP), which is the process of the reduction of uranium oxide by lithium metal in a high temperature molten salt bath for spent fuel, was developed at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). Since the ACP equipment is located in an intense radiation field (hot cell) as well as in a high temperature, it must be remotely operated and maintained. The ACP hot cell is very narrow so the workspace of the wall-mounted mechanical Master-Slave Manipulators(MSMs) is restricted. A Bridge Transported Servo Manipulator(BTSM) system has been developed to overcome the limitation of an access that is a drawback of the mechanical MSMs. The BTSM system consists ot a bridge crane with telescoping tubeset, a slave manipulator, a master manipulator, and a control system. We applied a bilateral position-position control scheme with friction compensation as force-reflecting controller. In this paper, the transmission characteristics on the tendon-and-pulley train is numerically formulated and analyzed. Also, we evaluate the performance of the force-reflecting servo manipulator.

  • 지리정보의 중요성이 널리 인식되고 사회 각 분야에서 지리정보에 대한 수요가 날로 증가되고 다양해지고 있지만 GIS의 개발, 설치, 유지, 보수의 어려움에 따른 고가의 비용과 시장에 대한 적응력부족으로 GIS의 광범위한 활용이 저해 받고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 개인을 위한 GIS 서비스나 응용프로그램의 하나의 기능 컴포넌트로서의 GIS 서비스가 GIS의 주류로 발전할 것으로 예측되고 있지만 이를 지원하기 위한 GIS 개발, 배포 모델과 기반기술이 결여되어 있다. 그러나, 사용자가 월 정액요금을 지불하고 인터넷 또는 인트라넷을 통하여 ASP (Application Service Provider)에 의해 원격 중앙 서버에 설치, 관리되고 있는 소프트웨어 응용프로그램을 사용하는 형식은 혁신적인 소프트웨어 개발과 배포 모델로서 차세대 컴퓨터 환경의 기초로 각광 받고 있으며 이를 GIS에 적용할 때 GIS의 광범위한 응용과 원활한 유통을 크게 추진할 것으로 기대된다. 그러므로, 현시점에서 GIS ASP를 위한 합리적인 모델과 이에 근거한 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 대한 연구와 개발이 절실히 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ASP 환경 하에서 더욱 신속하고 편리한 GIS 개발, 통합, 배포를 가능하게 하고 보다 나은 질의 GIS ASP 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 마이크로소프트의 ASP 플랫폼인 .NET 기반의 3 계층 GIS ASP 모델을 중심으로 하는 GIS ASP 소프트웨어 플랫폼의 설계를 제시하였다.

Trouble in Source Driving System of a $^{60}Co$ Teletherapy Unit ($^{60}Co$ 치료장치의 선원 구동상의 문제점)

  • An asymmetry in dose profile of a $^{60}Co$ teletherapy unit was found by means of water-phantom measurement. The reason of that trouble was confirmed to be the abnormal 'ON' position of the source, which is resulted from the high friction between contiguous surfaces of the spring for driving the source to 'OFF' position. Lubrication in the spring improved the mobility a little, but was not a radical repair. The radical repair was to replace the old spring by new one. Periodic maintenance for source driving system and periodic measurement of field symmetry are required for prevention of abnormal 'ON' position of $^{60}Co$ source.

  • The process equipment for handling high level radioactive materials, such as spent nuclear fuel, is operated within a sealed facility, called a hot cell, due to high radioactivity. Thus, this equipment should be maintained and repaired by remotely operated manipulator. In this study, to carry out the sale and effective maintenance of the process equipment installed in the hot cell by a servo type manipulator, a collision free motion planning method of the manipulator using virtual prototyping technology is suggested. To do this, the parts are modelled in 3-D graphics, assembled, and kinematics are assigned and the virtual workcell is implemented in the graphical environment which is the same as the real environment. The method proposed in this paper is to find the optimal path of the manipulator using the function of the collision detection in the graphic simulator. The proposed path planning method and this graphic simulator of manipulator can be effectively used in designing of the maintenance processes for the hot cell equipment and enhancing the reliability of the spent fuel management.

  • There is a need to substitute offshore met-mast with remote sensing equipment such as wind lidar since the initial installation and O&M costs for offshore met-mast are quite high. In this study, applicability of wind lidar is verified by intercomparison test of wind speed and direction data from offshore met-mast and wind lidar for simultaneous operational period. Results at various heights show no statistical difference in trend and size and data from wind lidar is found to be more accurate and have less error than data from offshore met-mast where error from structural shading effect is significant.
