A Study on the effect of welding wire diameter on the welding quality detection (용접 와이어 직경이 용접 상태 검출에 미치는 영향)

  • Using the welding current and voltage signal processing, we have studied the influence that the diameter of the welding wire to the welding quality detection. For the experiments, We have analyzed the signal with respect to large and small artificially a gap between base materials than the welding wire. In this experiment, the 1.2 mm diameter of the welding wire was used, and distance between the welding base materials was respectively 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm. In the welding with a large defect than the diameter of the welding wire it was able to detect a change in the welding current and welding voltage. But it could not detect a change in the welding current and welding voltage in the welding has a small defect than the welding wire diameter.

  • 용접변수는 재현성을 보장하기 위하여 명시되어져야 할 모든 변수라고 정의 되어질 수 있다. 이러한 용접변수는 이음 설계, 용접부 청소, 홈가공, 예열, 후열처 리, 용접법 변수(예, 용접속도, 전압, 잔류) 등이다. 이러한 용접 변수는 용접절차서 (welding procedure apecification)에 그 내용과 측정값을 기술하도록 되어 있다. 본고에서는 좁은 의미에서 용접변수인 용접전류, 전압, 용접속도, 용접부의 온도 측정 방법을 설명하고 그 활용방법에 대하여 기술하고자 한다. 이러한 용접변수는 컴퓨터 에 접속하여 측정이 이루어 지도록 하여 측정자료의 평가, 기록 및 공정제어에 이용 될 수 있다.

  • Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is currently the most widely used arc welding processes in the industry because of its high metal deposition rate, flexibility and low cost. It is attractive for high-productivity manufacturing applications and is well suited to automatic or robotic welding. Welding voltage and current have a significant impact on the weld bead. However, welding voltage and current are changed variously according to welding condition and user environment, and prediction is impossible. To determine the welding conditions, the welding current and voltage are applied to the appropriate data analysis techniques. In this paper, we used the moving average filter to the welding voltage and current data, and normal and abnormal welding waves were distinguished.

  • 하나로 핵연료의 피복관과 봉단마개 재료로 사용되는 Aluminum 1060의 전자빔 용접부의 비드 특성을 조사하기 위하여 bead-on-plate 용접을 하였다. 비드의 단면을 절단하여 가속전압, 빔 전류, 용접속도에 따른 비드의 폭과 용입 깊이의 변화를 측정하고 용접부에 발생한 용접결함을 관찰하였다. 실험결과 가속전압과 범 전류의 증가에 따라 용입 깊이는 직선 비례적으로 계속 증가하였지만 비드폭은 그 증가율이 감소하는 경향이었다. 용접속도의 증가에 따라서 비드 폭과 용입깊이는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 범 출력이 높은 용접부의 root부에 다수의 porosity 가 발생하는 것을 관찰 할 수 있었으며 핵연료 봉단 마개의 porosity와는 다른 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 용접게에 퍼지이론을 적용하여 작업자의 비숙련성 및 용접모재의 형상에 따라 변동되는 아크상태에 항상 일정하게 유지되도록 하는 제어방식ㅇ르 제안한다. 기존의 방식은 작업자 스스로 아크상태를 판단하고 아크길이의 변화를 주었다. 이에 비하여, 퍼지 용접기는 적업자가 기준 용접전압 및 용접전류를 설정한 후, 용접을 할 때 발생하는 아크상태를 숙련자의 경험에 바탕을 둔 퍼지제어기를 이용한다. 그러므로써 퍼지제어기의 출력부가 출력전압을 조절하여 균일한 용접효과가 나오도록 하는데 목적을 두었다.

  • This study evaluated the tensile properties of SAPH440, a hot-rolled steel for automotive structural applications, based on GMAW lap welding, the welding current, the welding voltage, and the feed rate. Tensile tests were performed according to the joint parameters of the GMAW process, for which specimens were fabricated according to KS B ISO 9018 by lap welding. The bead appearance was observed in each condition, and the weldability was evaluated by the tensile test. Higher the welding current resulted in a deeper weld, but the tensile strength was not significantly different from when the parameter was fixed due to the fracture of the base material. When the current was higher than the voltage, as in the case of a welding current of 200 A and welding voltage of 17 V, a large amount of spatter is generated, the welding is unstable, and the welded part breaks. Higher the voltage resulted in the bead not causing defects in general, and it also affected the weldability. If the current and voltage were too low, the welding was not performed normally, and the tensile strength could not be measured. However, as the current increased, the increase of the voltage and the feed rate did not affect the tensile strength.

  • A new method of on-line monitoring of spot weld quality is proposed by analysing weld votage signal. Weld voltage signal has been modeled by autoregressive model which is suitable for on-line modeling scheme, and order of the model is determined by F-test. From the chosen model, strength. Upon experimental results, it has been shown that fundamental frequency dispersion of weld voltage can be used as a good parameter like maximum thermal expansion in on-line monitoring of spot weld quality. Microcomputer implementation of the proposed monitoring method is also developed and presented.
