정보검색(Information retrieval) 및 텍스트 분석을 위해 수집하는 비정형 데이터 즉, 자연어를 전처리하는 과정 중 하나인 불용어(Stopword) 제거는 모델의 품질을 높일 수 있는 쉽고, 효과적인 방법 중에 하나이다. 특히 다양한 텍스트 문서에 잠재된 주제를 추출하는 기법인 토픽모델링의 경우, 너무 오래되거나, 수집된 문서의 도메인이나 성격과 무관한 불용어의 제거로 인해, 해당 토픽 모델에서 학습되어 생성된 주제 관련 단어들의 일관성이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 분석가가 분류된 주제를 올바르게 해석하는데 있어 많은 어려움이 따르게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 일반적으로 사용되는 표준 불용어 대신 관련 도메인 문서로부터 추출되는 점별 상호정보량(PMI: Pointwise Mutual Information)을 이용하여 불용어를 자동으로 생성해주는 기법을 제안한다. 생성된 불용어와 표준 불용어를 통해 토픽 모델의 품질을 혼잡도(Perplexity)로써 측정한 결과, 본 논문에서 제안한 기법으로 생성한 30개의 불용어가 421개의 표준 불용어보다 더 높은 모델 성능을 보였다.

전문용어의 가짓수가 많고 생성빈도 또한 높은 분야에서 고품질의 정보검색과 기계번역 결과를 얻기 위해서는 상당 분량의 번역용어사전의 확보가 필수적이다. 이러한 분야에서 번역용어사전을 수작업으로 구축하는 것은 큰 부담이 된다. 본 논문에서는 이미 알고 있는 용어(원어)와 번역용어를 말뭉치에서 함께 표기한 부분을 찾아 패턴화하는 작업과, 생성된 패턴으로 추가의 용어-번역용어를 추출하는 작업을 반복하여 수행함으로써 번역용어사전을 자동으로 구축하는 방안을 제안한다. 인터넷 문서를 대상으로 본 제안방법을 적용해 본 결과 상당분량의 유효한 한글-영문용어들을 추출할 수 있었다.

To improve the efficiency of business, it is important to standardize the meaning of terminology. And then, terminology dictionaries have been actively being built and used in various fields. In defense area, the publication of defense terminology dictionary is useful for information exchange of each army and distribution of standardized terminology. Defense agency for technology and quality(DTaQ) publishes terminology dictionary of defense science and technology on a three-year cycle. DTaQ tries to standardize the construction process of terminology dictionary and improve service efficiency by using terminology dictionary in defense area. This proposed method is based on the result of previous study about standardization of terminology dictionary. We suggest the practical steps including terminology dictionary constructing process, composition and role of organization, definition of headword, selection of target documents to be extracted terminology candidate, terminology extraction, generation of terminology candidate group, workbench registration, construction and validation of terminology dictionary. Thesaurus and workbench are developed to use and support terminology dictionary effectively.

As the volume of unstructured data increases through various social media, Internet news articles, and blogs, the importance of text analysis and the studies are increasing. Since text analysis is mostly performed on a specific domain or topic, the importance of constructing and applying a domain-specific dictionary has been increased. The quality of dictionary has a direct impact on the results of the unstructured data analysis and it is much more important since it present a perspective of analysis. In the literature, most studies on text analysis has emphasized the importance of dictionaries to acquire clean and high quality results. However, unfortunately, a rigorous verification of the effects of dictionaries has not been studied, even if it is already known as the most essential factor of text analysis. In this paper, we generate three dictionaries in various ways from 39,800 news articles and analyze and verify the effect each dictionary on the accuracy of document classification by defining the concept of Intrinsic Rate. 1) A batch construction method which is building a dictionary based on the frequency of terms in the entire documents 2) A method of extracting the terms by category and integrating the terms 3) A method of extracting the features according to each category and integrating them. We compared accuracy of three artificial neural network-based document classifiers to evaluate the quality of dictionaries. As a result of the experiment, the accuracy tend to increase when the "Intrinsic Rate" is high and we found the possibility to improve accuracy of document classification by increasing the intrinsic rate of the dictionary.

국방분야에서는 국방용어 사전 발간을 통해 각군의 효율적인 업무 연계 및 표준화된 국방 용어 유통 체계를 정립하는데 노력하고 있다. 국방기술품질원에서도 국방 과학기술 분야의 전문용어 사전 발간을 통해 각군의 과학기술 용어를 표준화함으로써 업무 연계 및 효율성 제고에 노력하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전문용어 사전 구축 표준화 프로세스를 준용해서 국방 과학기술 전문용어 사전의 후보 용어 선정부터 정제, 시소러스 구축, 검수에 이르는 전주기 과정에 대한 실제 구축 내용을 기술하고 있다. 또한 전문용어 사전의 효율적 구축 및 관리를 위해 개발된 워크벤치의 기능을 중심으로 용어 선정, 정보 입력, 관리 기능을 기술하고 한다.

The sensory quality characteristics of 5 different types of traditional Korean cookies, i.e. Yackwa, Gangjung, Sanja, Dasik and Yutgangjung were investigated. A total of 77 questionnaires were collected and over 90 different terms describing the sensory characteristics of Hankwa were appeared, among which 58 terms were explained in Korean Dictionary. The important quality characteristic of Korean cookies were identified from the frequency of the appearance of sensory describing terms. The cookies were stored at room temperature for 10 days in various relative humidity of $0{\sim}68%$, and the changes in the quality characteristics were examined organolleptically by scalar scoring test. The changes in overall acceptance were evaluated by hedonic test. The results were shown by quantitative descriptive analysis(QDA) diagram The QDA diagram could visualize the effects of storage relative humidity on the sensory quality profile of the cookies.

2002년 10월 유럽통계협회는 품질지수개발을 위해 협회소속국가들이 연합하여 특별연구팀을 발족시켰다. 이 팀의 주목적은 유럽통계협회에서 생산되는 자료의 품질을 측정하기 위해 대표성이 있으며, 계산하기 쉽고, 이해하기 쉬운 지수를 개발하는 것이었다. 유럽 통계협회는 연구팀에서 개발한 지수를 이용하여 내부품질보고서를 작성하도록 결정하였다. 개발된 풀질지수들은 유럽 통계협회 소속 국가에 의해 생산된 통계에 적용하기 적합해야하며 유럽전체를 위해 Eurostat 이 보유하고 있는 통계에도 적합해야한다. 그러므로 지수들은 각 국이 합의한 용어, 공식, 변수, 도메인, 분석의 정도를 고려하여 개발되도록 하였다. 이러한 지수는 정기적으로 생산되도록 규정하고 있으며 이 규정이 지켜지기 위해서는 동일한 변수, 공식 통이 적용되어야함은 물론이고 시계열의 유지를 위해 관련된 메타데이터가 제공되어야한다. 서로 다른 조사결과로부터 관련된 통계량의 측정과 개념들간의 차이를 확인하기 위해서 메타데이터는 반드시 필요하며 품질보고서가 있는 경우 많은 도움이 릴 것이다. 본 연구에서는 동계생산자의 관점에서 본 각각의 품질 요소에 따라서 생산된 다양한 통계의 풀질을 평가하기 위해서 개발된 일련의 표준화된 품질지수를 제시할 것이다. 각 지수들의 정의와 가장 대표적인 지수산출을 제안하고 지수산출을 위해 필요한 메타데이터를 선명한 것이다.

경유을 디젤 엔진의 연료로 사용하기 위해서는 세탄가가 맞아야 한다. 경유를 엔진에 주입하면 쉽게 착화되지 않는다. 개솔린은 점화가 너무 잘 되어 탈인데, 경유는 착화가 더디어서 탈이다. 착화 지연을 수치로 표시하는 용어로서 세탄가, 세탄지수, 디젤지수의 세 가지가 있다. 세낱가는 경유의 품질을대표하는 가장 중요한 규격 항목이다. 세낱가의 높고 낮음에 따라 경유의 품질을 쉽게 판정할 수 있다. 세탄가가 낮으면, 연소가 거칠어 지고 검은 연기가 치솟는다. 미국 ASTM은 경유의 세탄가 규격을 40으로 정하고 있다. 우리나라 경유의 세탄가 규격은 45로 정하고 있다. 미국의 경유 세탄가 규격은 40이지만, 미국 대도시의 버스, 트럭에서는 검은 연기가 치솟는 일이 드물다. 우리나라의 경유 세탄가 규격은 미국보다 훨씬 높지마, 우리나라 대도시의 버스, 트럭에서는 검은 연기가 치솟는 일이 많다.
