남한과 북한은 같은 언어를 사용하지만 거의 반세기 동안 교류가 없었고 정치사회적 환경 등이 달랐던 탓에 언어에서도 차이가 생기기 시작했다. 근래까지 남북한에서 쓰던 학술용어는 대부분 외래어나 일본식 한자말이었다. 그러나 최근 북한에서는 국가적으로 말다듬기운동을 일으켜 대부분 학술용어를 쉬운 우리말로 다듬었다. 남한에서는 대부분 의학용어가 아직도 일본식 한자말로 되어 있다. 최근 대한해부학회에서는 일본식 한자용어에 익숙한 사람들의 저항을 줄이면서 우리말다운 의학용어를 만든다는 데 바탕을 두고 1990년대에 새롭게 다듬은 해부학용어집을 펴냈다. 이들 용어를 비교하며 남북한 의학용어의 공통점과 차이점을 생각해보기로 한다. (일러두기:보기에 있는 용어의 순서는 (옛)-(남)-(북)이며, '옛'은 일본식 한자용어, '남'은 다듬은 해부학용어, '북'은 다듬은 북한용어를 가리킨다. []속의 용어는 앞의 용어와 함께 쓸 수 있도록 허용한 것이고, 용어 가운데 있는()속의 용어는 생략해서 쓸 수 있는 것이다.

정보검색 시스템의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서 다양한 용어가중치 공식이 제안 되어왔다. 용어가중치는 질의와 문헌을 비교하는 검색의 경우뿐만 아니라 문헌과 문헌을 비교하는 자동분류에서도 성능에 영향을 미칠 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 용어가중치 공식에 대해서 살펴보고, 문헌 자동분류 성능에 미치는 영향을 문헌 클러스터링 실험과 범주화 실험을 통해 확인해 보았다.

In this study, the meteorology terms in the geography text books of North Korea which includes all of the meteorology educational contents in secondary school curriculum are compared with those in the earth science text books in South Korea. Forty science terms which are the same meaning but composed of different words are picked up to investigate the degree for 89 high school students in Chonnam province to perceive the meanings correctly. High school students' perceptions is on the average 30% higher in terminology of South Korea textbooks than in those of North Korea. But, students' perceptions on 9 North Korean terms is rather higher compared to South Korean terms. Twenty six (83.9%) terms which are difficult for high school students to perceive correct meanings are those lately composed of North Korean native words. Most of meteorology terms in South Korean textbooks are derived from the Chinese characters or imported from foreign language terms are easier for high school students to perceive correct meanings than those of North Korean terms derived from North Korean native language.

시소러스는 정보검색과정에서 용어를 통제하여 색인과 검색에서 중요한 기능을 수행하는 도구로 사용되고 있는 통제용어집이다. 그러나 정보검색시스템 환경의 변화에도 불구하고 기존의 시소러스와 시소러스의 작성지침으로 사용되고 있는 국제 표준인 ISO 2788이나 Z39.19에서 제시하고 있는 기준은 용어간의 관계를 단순히 표현하고 있어 색인이나 검색시 용어통제의 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구는 시소러스의 용어관계를 국제 표준과 현재 사용되고 있는 각종 시소러스를 비교 분석하여, 시소러스 용어관계의 확장방안을 제시한다.

전문용어는 특정 분야의 전문가 사이에서 통용되는 표현 매체이며, 일반용어에 비해 생성과 소멸의 주기가 짧은 특징을 가지고 있다. 이런 특징 때문에 일반용어 사전구축과 달리 전문용어 사전을 구축하기 위해서는 신속한 대응전략이 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 전문용어 사전 구축을 위한 다음과 같은 두 단계의 과정을 제안한다. 우선 형태소 후처리와 결합규칙을 이용하여 1,200만 어절의 신문 말뭉치로부터 단일어 10만과 복합어 30만의 용어후보를 추출하고, 고빈도 용어 후보 6만개를 선별해 용어지배지수(Term Dominance Value)라는 개념을 도입하여 전문용어를 선정한다. 실험을 통해 용어지배지수 순위와 누적빈도순위 및 최근연도 순위를 비교한 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 용어지배지수가 전문용어 활용도를 나타내는 훌륭한 지표역할을 할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in terminologies used in child and family domains of family life education in South and North Korea. The terminologies relevant to child and family domains in North Korea were selected from various sources including dictionaries that are developed to compare South-North Korean languages, reports and websites by ministry of unification in South Korea, magazines and news articles about North Korean daily life. The collected terminologies were analyzed using the content criteria on core concepts, 'development' and 'relations' from the 2015 proclamation of the ministry of education on home economics curriculum. The major differences between the two Koreas were as follows: first, the terms categorized under human development were more divergent compared to the terms categorized under family relations. Specifically, there were big differences in terminologies in the love and marriage section, the life and labor in pregnancy section in human development and the child caring section in family relations. Second, dissimilar terms were more frequently appeared in content area of kinship, marriage, and child-rearing. Third, the discrepancies of terms between the two Koreas were brought about primarily by differences in political and social system, language refinement, and transcription techniques. These findings including the terminology list would be a practical resources providing for students to familiarize with the differences in the usage of terms and for teachers to develop a home economics educational program in provision of reunification of the Koreas.

This research was conducted to provide standardization method for new dental hygiene curriculum by identifying the overlapping of education content of the Department of Dental Hygiene and analytic syllabus. To complement these overlapping education programs, I would like to make some proposals. First, unified course shall be provided by compromising specific terms of overlapping subject, overlapping curriculums for the necessary skills required for job analysis of dental hygienist and overlapping class time. This shall increase the efficiency the class time and required curriculums. Next, proactive and continuos research for standardized approach to the Department of Dental Hygiene education content is necessary and Dental Hygiene academic circle shall build trust.

이 논문에서는 전자 사전의 뜻 풀이말을 이용하여 용어를 자동 분류하는 용어 클러스터링 시스템을 설계하였다. 클러스터링 성능에 영향을 미치는 요소로 자질 선택 자질 표현 그리고 유사도 측정 등이 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 요소들이 용어 클러스터링에 미치는 영향을 평가해보았다. 클러스터링 결과를 객관적으로 비교하기 위해서 용어 클러스터링 결과와 한국어 의미 계층망에서 추출한 정답 클러스터를 비교하였다 실험 결과, 용어의 뜻 풀이말만 자질로 사용한 방법보다는 뜻 풀이말 자질을 확장하는 방법이 훨씬 더 좋은 결과를 보였다.
