Effects of Breeds on Body Weight, Age, Body Conformation, Backfat Thickness and Steroid Hormone Concentrations at First Estrus and Mating of Gilts (첫 발정과 종부시 체중, 연령, 체형, 등지방 두께 및 스테로이드 호르몬 농도에 미치는 종빈돈 품종의 영향)

  • This study was carried out to get a fundamental information fur improvement of reproductive performance in gilt. We investigated the effects of breeds on body weight, age, body length, wither's height, girth and backfat thickness, and the serum concentrations of estradiol-17$\beta$, cortisol and progesterone at first estrus and mating of gilts. A total of 47 gilts of Duroc, Landrace and Yorkshire, produced at Livestock Experiment Station, Chungnam Livestock Sanitation Research Institute from 2000 through 2002, were used for this experiment. Body weight, age and girth of Duroc at first estrus and mating were higher than those of Landrace and Yorkshire. There were no differences on body length among the three breeds at first estrus and mating. Wither's height of Duroc and Yorkshire at first estrus and mating was higher than that of Landrace. Backfat thickness of Yorkshire was thinnest among the three breeds at first estrus, but there were no differences on backfat thickness among the three breeds at first mating. Serum estradiol-17$\beta$ concentration of Landrace (45.0 pg/ml) at first estrus was higher than that of Yorkshire (27.4 pg/ml) and Duroc (21.8 pg/ml), but there were no differences on estradiol-17$\beta$ concentration (from 18.5 to 31.9 pg/ml) among the three breeds at first mating. Serum cortisol concentration of Duroc at first estrus and mating was higher than that of Landrace and Yorkshire. There were no differences on serum progesterone concentration among the three breeds at first estrus and mating of gilt.

후보 종빈돈의 품종, 출생계절 및 등지방두께가 첫발정일령과 첫수정일령에 미치는 영향

  • 번식효율이 높은 우수한 후보종빈돈의 조기선발기술을 개발하기 위해 후보종빈돈의 첫발정일령과 첫수정일령에 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 본 시험에 공시된 후보종빈돈은 충남 천안시에 위치하고 있는 양돈장에서 자돈을 생산ㆍ육성하여 체중 80~90kg에서 선발하였고, 체중이 약 110kg 도달하였을 때 최종 선발하여 이용하였으며, 사양관리는 양돈장의 관행에 따라 실시하였다. 첫발정조사는 생후 22주령때 부터 매일 아침, 저녁으로 2회씩 외음부의 충혈과 부종상태를 관찰하고 승가허용 자세유지 등을 통하여 발정여부를 조사하였다. 교배는 첫발정발견 후 2차 발정이 발현되었을 때 실시하는 것을 원칙으로 하였다. 첫발정 및 첫수정시에 등지방측정기(Lean-meater; Renco, U.S.A.)를 이용하여 제 10늑골의 정중선으로부터 좌측 또는 우측으로 약 5cm 이격된 지점을 2회 측정하여 평균치로 하였다. 후보종빈돈의 품종별 첫발정일령과 첫수정일령은 랜드레이스종이 171.91일과 202.18일, 요크셔종은 178.56일과 208.39일, 랜드레이스종과 요크셔종의 F$_1$은 190.20일과 213.60일로 랜드레이스종이 첫발정일령과 첫수정일령이 가장 빨랐으나 품종간 첫수정일령에 대한 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 출생계절별 첫발정일령 및 첫수정일령은 봄에 출생한 후보종빈돈은 194.14일 및 222.05일, 여름에 출생한 후보종빈돈은 163.25일 및 193.00일, 가을에 출생한 후보종빈돈은 160.25일 및 199.20일, 겨울에 출생한 후보종빈돈은 159.72일 및 190.11일로 봄에 출생한 후보종빈돈의 첫발정일령 및 첫수정일령이 겨울, 가을, 여름에 출생한 후보종빈돈보다 유의적으로 늦게 나타났다(P〈0.01). 등지방두께가 13~16mm인 후보종빈돈의 첫발정일령 및 첫수정일령은 180.32일 및 211.12일, 17~20mm인 후보종빈돈은 172.24일 및 202.43일, 21~23mm인 후보종빈돈은 162.20일 및 195.43일로 등지방두께가 얇을수록 첫발정일령 및 첫수정일령이 지연되었으나 유의적인 차이는 인정되지 않았다.

  • This paper focuses on the design of microspeakers with minimum flux leakage, for use in radiotelegraphy. The response surface methodology (RSM) is applied as the optimization technique for obtaining a large magnetic force and a small flux leakage on diaphragm. The object functions of this optimization are the magnetic force and the flux leakage along three factors; pole piece thickness, magnet grade and yoke thickness, which are determined by the design of the experiment. The magnetic force and the flux leakage are calculated for each condition and optimized by results evaluated with RSM. For a pole piece thickness of 0.9 mm, a magnet grade of N42H and a yoke thickness of 0.75 mm, the magnetic force is satisfied as initial model and flux leakage is decreased to 11.8% than initial model.

A Study on Adhesive Joints for Composite Driveshafts (복합재료 동력전달축의 접착조인트에 관한 연구)

  • Substituting composite structures for conventional metallic structures has many advantages because of higher specific stiffness and specific strength of composite materials. In this work, one-piece driveshafts composed of carbon/epoxy and glass/epoxy composites were designed and manufactured for a rear wheel drive automobile satisfying three design specifications, such as static torque transmission capability, torsional buckling and the fundamental natural bending frequency. Single lap adhesive joint was used to join the composite shaft and the aluminum yoke. The torque transmission capability of the adhesively bonded composite shaft was calculated with respect to bonding length and yoke thickness by finite element analysis and compared with the experimental result. Torque transmission capability was based on the Tsai-Wu failure index fur composite shaft and the failure model which incorporated the nonlinear mechanical behavior of aluminum yoke and epoxy adhesive. From the experiments and the finite element analyses, it was found that the static torque transmission capability of the composite driveshaft was highest at the critical yoke thickness, and saturated beyond the critical length. Also, it was found that the one-piece composite driveshaft had 40% weight saving effect compared with a conventional two-piece steel driveshaft.

  • 본 논문에서는 세탁기용 외전형 BLDC 전동기를 기본 모델로 하고, 이를 FEM 상용프로그램인 Maxwell을 이용하여 해석 및 설계를 하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 설계대상으로 하는 외전형 BLDC 전동기는 기존에 사용중인 모델로서, 내부의 고정 전기자는 기존의 모델에 맞도록 외경을 그대로 유지하면서 Teeth 등을 설계변수로 하였고, 외부의 회전 자석계자는 주어진 외경의 치수 범위 내에서 영구자석의 형상과 두께 회전자 요크의 두께 등을 설계 변수로 하여 코깅 토오크가 최소가 되도록 최적 설계를 하였다. 유한요소법을 적용하여 자속분포, 코깅 토오크, 토오크 둥을 해석하였고, 코깅 토오크의 최소화를 통하여 효율 및 전동기의 성능을 향상시켰다.

Analysis of Magnetic Flux Leakage based Local Damage Detection Sensitivity According to Thickness of Steel Plate (누설자속 기반 강판 두께별 국부 손상 진단 감도 분석)

  • To diagnosis the local damages of the steel plates, magnetic flux leakage (MFL) method that is known as a adaptable non-destructive evaluation (NDE) method for continuum ferromagnetic members was applied in this study. To analysis the sensitivity according to thickness of steel plate in MFL method based damage diagnosis, several steel plate specimens that have different thickness were prepared and three depths of artificial damage were formed to the each specimens. To measured the MFL signals, a MFL sensor head that have a constant magnetization intensity were fabricated using a hall sensor and a magnetization yoke using permanent magnets. The magnetic flux signals obtained by using MFL sensor head were improved through a series of signal processing methods. The capability of local damage detection was verified from the measured MFL signals from each damage points. And, the peak to peak values (P-P value) extracted from the detected MFL signals from each thickness specimen were compared each other to analysis the MFL based local damage detection sensitivity according to the thickness of steel plate.

Genetic and of environmental effects for economic traits in pigs (돼지 주요 경제형질들에 영향을 미치는 유전 및 환경효과 추정)

  • This study was conducted to estimate the effect of sex, breed and on the basis of the records on 300 pigs of Duroc, Landrace and Yorkshire breeds raised at the National Institute of Animal Science. Yorkshire was observed to be superior to other breeds between 90 to 110 kg of body weight. Thicker backfat was estimated in the B-mode than in A-mode of 110 kgs range than in 90 kgs. Loin eye muscle area was larger in the final weight of 110kg than in 90 and the Duroc had significantly (p<0.05) larger loin eye muscle area than other breeds. Thinner backfat was observed in males than in females in both modes of backfat measurements and in both of the final weights of test. Females had significantly larger loin eye muscle area than males, and the difference between the two sexes were larger in the final weight of 110 kg than in 90 kg. Analysis models concluded that backfat thickness certainly influences the body weight gain when at 90 kgs and 110 kgs analysed with A-mode and B-mode respectively.

Changes rate in selection of Yorkshire pig for productive traits using the integrated test records among GGPs (핵돈군간 산육형질의 통합자료를 이용한 요크셔 종돈의 선발비율 변화)

  • Heritability estimates for daily gain (g), backfat thickness (mm), days to 90kg (day), loin eye depth (mm) and meat percent (%) were 0.40, 0.44, 0.40, 0.25 and 0.48, respectively. Estimates of correlation between breeding value and rank for meat productivity traits by model 1 and 2 were 0.995 1.000 and 0.991 1.000, respectively and highly significant (p< 0.0001), and they were almost identical to the breeding values estimated by different farms. When top 5% and top 10% animals were selected by meat productive traits at different farms, markedly different animals were selected by farms since the selected improvement traits in each farm maintaining closed herds were different. Therefore, it seems to be desirable that superior pigs should be selected after the establishment of evaluation system for genetic performance at national level using the integrated data obtained from various farms.

  • 드라이브 샤프트는 일반적으로 엔진에서 발생된 회전력을 바퀴에 직접 전달하는 동시에 조향기능을 수행하는 자동차 부품이다. 최근에 경량화를 통한 에너지 절감을 위하여 기존 스틸소재를 알루미늄으로 대체하는 방안에 대한 연구가 집중되고 있다. 그러나 알루미늄 단일소재로 드라이브 샤프트를 제조하는 것은 비경제적이며 또한 기 개발된 자동차 부품들과의 연결을 고려하여 알루미늄 튜브와 스틸 요크의 이종금속 접합기술이 요구된다. 전자기 펄스용접은 전자기력을 이용하여 용접대상물을 고속으로 충돌시켜 용접하는 기술로서 열 발생이 적어 재료의 특성차로 인한 결함 및 변형이 발생하지 않아, 이종금속간 고품질 용접이 가능하며, 전자기 펄스 용접부의 품질과 밀접한 관계를 갖는 공정변수 경우 모재와 접합재의 재질 따라 적정 공정변수 범위가 변화되므로 공정에 따른 데이터의 축적은 대단히 중요하다. 전자기 펄스 용접을 이용한 이종금속 접합시 접합부 품질에 영향을 미치는 공정변수는 충전전압, 모재와 접합재 사이의 간격 및 접합재의 직경과 두께의 비(D/T비)로서 보고되었으며, Al/Steel 이종 금속 접합시 이들 공정변수가 접합부에 미치는 영향 및 최적의 공정변수 도출을 위한 연구는 시도되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 전자기 펄스 용접기술을 이용한 Al/Steel 이종금속 접합 실험을 통하여 전자기 펄스용접의 적정성과 최적의 충전전압, 모재와 접합재 사이의 간격, D/T비를 도출하고자 한다. 전자기 펄스 용접 장치는 한국생산기술연구원과 웰메이트(주)에서 공동으로 개발한 $120{\mu}F$의 캐패시터 6개로 구성된 'W-MPW36'을 사용하였으며 이 장치의 최대충전전압과 최대접합용량은 각각 10kV, 36kJ이다. 접합재는 전기 전도율의 높은 Al 1070 파이프를 사용하였으며 모재는 기존 스틸 요크재인 SM45C 환봉을 사용하였다. 기보고된 연구를 통하여 코일과 접합재 사이의 간격이 좁을수록 높은 전자기력이 접합재에 작용하는 것을 확인하였으나 코일내 접합재와 모재 삽입 편의를 위하여 1mm로 설정하였다. 접합부의 품질 평가를 위하여 수압시험을 실시하였으며, 시험 후 접합부 단면을 주사전자현미경(SEM)을 이용하여 관찰하였다.
