In this paper, we suggest an edge-based surface segmentation algorithm of 3D image using curvature. For the first, in this proposed method, we approximate 3D depth data to second order curves by each scan line and decide splitting points of 3D edges by curvature of the approximated curves. And finally make a group as 3D surface with the region of input image by the 3D edges. In the conventional algorithms, there are some difficulties in detecting 3D edge with the separated processes for the jump edge and the crease edge and especially, in deciding the ambiguous discontinuity of surface directions about the crease edge. The proposed algorithm decides curvature discontinuity using curvature which is simply calculated by a geometrical approximation. Furthermore, the algorithm has a cooperated process to calculate the jump and crease edges. The results of computer simulations with several 3D images show that the proposed method yields better performance as comparing with the conventional methods.

The World Wide Web (Web) is one of the most popular internet tool on now, In this reason most of common user, they understand the Web is internet and Web content is also important issues on this side. However, commonly Web content created by one of Web content creator and sometime they refer the another document and link. In these kinds of environments cause tile delivery of incorrect information or linking to another Web user. There are lots of way to protect the incorrect information deliveries to Web user and the most famous one is Computer Supported Cooperation Work (CSCW). This supports the multi-user environment on single system environment, but this needs more additional things in the current internet environment Current internet defined as distributed information network not tile traditional client-server environment. Specially, Intranet environments need to support the heterogeneous system environment like several Rinds of database, systems like PC, Mac and UNIX workstation, and etc. In this reason, we need collaboration and this would serve the common user interface to all of Web user. In these paper, we review the current concept of CSCW and grouoware that are major concept of collaboration and definition, classification and problem analysis of the collaboration. Finally, we suggest the construction method of collaboration environment for Web.

Existing usability testing method, particularly lab-based usability testing, has been widely implemented for development of user interface. However, the method has critical disadvantages such as high cost, time and effort, unnatural testing environment, and lack of user's direct participation in information architecture. With these backgrounds, this paper aims to develop the web-based participatory tool with particular focus on card sorting. Our tool was developed for allowing user to participate in card sorting with his own computer through web. All the data generated while user is participating in the test are automatically sent to the server, which makes it very easy to collect card sorting data. Users can drag cards of interface elements directly and build the interface structure in their own from their computer-screen so that they can represent their mental models on interface structure of testing website. These functions of our tool can help designers to implement card sorting without tedious and time consuming procedures and improve the method of usability testing by reinforcing user's active participation in building an information architecture.

Cloud services are used for improving business. Moreover, customer relationship management(CRM) approaches use social networking as tools to enhance services to customers. However, most cloud systems do not support the semantic structures, and because of this, vital information from social network sites is still hard to process and use for business strategy. This paper proposes a collaboration framework based on social semantic web for cloud system. The proposed framework consists of components to support social semantic web to provide an efficient collaboration system for cloud consumers and service providers. The knowledge acquisition module extracts rules from data gathered by social agents and these rules are used for collaboration and business strategy. This paper showed the implementations of processing of social network site data in the proposed semantic model and pattern extraction which was used for the virtual grouping of cloud service providers for efficient collaboration.

Knowing about each student's reading motivation is important to school librarians in producing life-long readers in their students This research asks the questions. are there any significant differences of reading motivation between grade level gender and birth order? and what kinds of reading motivation can encourage students to read books? The questionnaire method composed of 25 items was used for 278 students. The sample consisted of 142 students in 2nd, 136 in 5th grade, 140 boys and 138 girls. and 119 first born and 159 other birth order students. Finding shows that significant differences were observed for the reading motivation in 2nd and 5th grade, no significant differences between boys and girls. and no significant differences between birth order students were observed. It concludes with recommendations of reading motivation to each student or group.

This study investigated the self-archiving venues that university faculty members have used, the types of content that they have made publicly accessible on the web, and their rationales for such decisions. The present study was based on the analysis of 480 survey responses and 41 telephone interviews from professors at 17 Carnegie Doctorate-granting universities in the U.S. It was found that faculty members tended to self-archive referred articles on their personal websites or research group websites. This indicated that the faculties perceived peer-review process to be important in self-archiving practices as a quality-control mechanism. The rate of self-archiving in institutional repositories was low, although several interviewees envisioned the potential of the repositories regarding the ability to preserve various types of research works in digital form.

Recently in the area-based stereo matching field, Adaptive Support-Weight (ASW) method that weights matching cost adaptively according to the luminance intensity and the geometric difference shows promising matching performance. However, ASW requires more computational cost than other matching algorithms do and its real-time implementation becomes impractical. By applying Integral Histogram technique after approximating to the Bilateral filter equation, the computational time of ASW can be restricted in constant time regardless of the support window size. However, Integral Histogram technique causes loss of the matching accuracy during approximation process of the original ASW equation. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm that maintains the ASW algorithm's matching accuracy while reducing the computational costs. In the proposed algorithm, we propose Sub-Block method that groups the pixels within the support area. We also propose the method adjusting the disparity search range depending on edge information. The proposed technique reduces the calculation time efficiently while improving the matching accuracy.

The purposes of this study were to find out what attitude teachers have toward adopting ICT education to educational programs for gifted students, and how ready they are for carrying out ICT education for gifted students. For these purposes, this study surveyed 191 teachers that are currently working for gifted students in various school levels, from elementary schools to junior high and high schools. The major results of this study were as follow: (1) most teachers recognized that enhancing ICT-related capabilites of gifted students is very important, and (2) ICT-related activities in current education programs for gifted students are limited to the basic level, such as web searching for collecting information and making visual presentations using well-known commercial software. Based on the common recognition on the importance of ICT-related capabilites for gifted students, this study suggests that training teachers, as well as employing well-trained teachers, should be the first and most important step for ICT education for gifted students.

XML(eXtensible Markup Language) has emerged as a prevalent standard for document representation and exchange on the Internet. XML documents contain information of different sensitivity degrees, so that XML Document must selectively shared by user communities. There is thus the need for models and mechanisms enabling the specification and enforcement of access control policies for XML documents. Mechanisms are also required enabling a secure and selective dissemination of documents to users, according to the authorizations which the users have. In this paper, we give an account of access control model and mechanisms, which XML documents can be securely protected in web environments. We make RBAC Based access Control polices to the problem of secure and selective access of XML documents. The proposed model and mechanism guarantee that the secure use for XML documents through definition of authority for element, attribute, link within XML document as well as XML document.

The purpose of this paper is to develop and apply an electronic English textbook for the teaching and learning of 3rd grade students. For this purpose, the textbook was based on XML to maximize the advantages of the electronic textbook format, and avoid the disadvantages of the CD-ROM that $3^{rd}$ grade classes currently use. After electronic textbook was developed, focus group interview was implemented to confirm the effectiveness of that based on interaction, satisfaction, and interests. As a result of this study, interaction, satisfaction, and interests of students will be improved through the use of electronic textbook and it is anticipated self-directed learning ability will be improved. Also, we anticipate that the students' learning effectiveness will be enhanced.
