Perceptions of Distance University Learners' Satisfaction on Online Lecture Content by Age Group (우수 온라인 강의콘텐츠에 대한 원격대학 학습자의 연령별 인식)

  • In this study, we examine the satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors on the perceptions of online lecture content among open and distance university learners, especially focusing on age groups differences. The result of the study shows that clear differences exist between age groups in regards to the factors which insure excellent course in online learning. For example, young adults in their 20s and 30s determined 'useful for practical life, 'screen sensitive to audiovisual', and 'recently created lectures' as the most influential factors for online learning content satisfaction. However, older age groups in their 40s and above apparently showed a high preference for factors such as 'instructor's enthusiasm and attitude', and 'clear and easy-to-understand explanations.' The findings of the study imply that learners' recognition concerning content satisfaction may differ depending on age groups. Moreover, this study suggests that considering the growing importance of online learning in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, age groups should be considered in developing online course content.

The effect of contents presentation types, levels and metacognition on concept map in online learning (온라인 학습에서 콘텐츠의 제시유형과 제시수준, 메타인지가 학습에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was executed to give a help in planning and implementing online learning. For this purpose this study investigated the effect of contents presentation types, levels and metacognition on concept map composition and learning process in online learning. Learning contents types were two, meaning-centered or context-centered. Contents levels were divided into two; basic or deficient. Metacognition was divided into two levels according to the scores of scale. Results showed that meaning-centered type(M=45.00, SE=1.97) got better scores in concept map than context-centered(M=34.71, SE=1.98), Presentation levels and metacognition had no significant influence on concept map. There were interaction effect(F=.002, p>.05) between presentation levels and metacogntion levels. The upper group in metacognition got higher score in deficient types whereas the lower group got higher score in basic type. In online learning process, learner's metacognition was an important factor to complement the contents' defect and lack.

  • This study intends to find a positive effect on the learning of elementary school students by developing the exhibition contents of on-offline museum. This on-offline museum contents were combined with existing exhibit types and direct experience elements, and the theory of [blended learning]. Through this study, analyzing the limitations of existing online museum and finding with experiment to see if the new contents had a learning effect compared to the existing online museum. As a result of the experimental study, the content with a [direct experience] was counted as a high satisfaction and frequency index, and the [play] and [experience] type of direct experience contents showed higher satisfaction than the indirect experience type contents. Through this study, we want to provide new implications and development possibilities in the development of contents that online museums can provide, and to promote various effects on children's education.

  • 국내 IT산업은 지난 몇 년간 급속도로 발전해 왔고 이제 우리는 세계 어떤 나라와 비교해도 뒤쳐지지 않는 IT인프라를 구축하고 있다 하지만 앞으로 3~4년 뒤에도 우리가 세계 속에서 IT강국으로 남을수 있을지는 미지수다. 특히 세계는 지금 IT를 기반으로한 온라인디지털콘텐츠 시장 선점경쟁이 치열하게 전개되고 있다. 국내에서도 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 발전을 위해 지난해부터 정부와 산학연 관계자들이 함께 노력하고 있으며, 특히 디지털 콘텐츠 분야에서 나타나는 특징은 기존의 하드웨어 산업에 비해 여성의 역할이 더욱 중요할 뿐만 아니라 실제로 여성의 파워가 점차 커지고 있다는 점이다. 지난 98년 '워바이블'이라는 온라인게임을 통해 온라인 게임 시장에 진출한 이후 국내 온라인 게임 업계의 한 축을 이루고 있는 제이씨엔터테인먼트의 김양신(49) 사장을 만났다.

The number of online video content distributors are rapidly increasing in China. But, at present, Online video content distributors in china has the following problems: severe similar content, copyright infringement issue and profit model absence. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of these distributors, especially YoukuTudou and iQiyiPPS. This study also reviews the stage of development and current situation of online video content market in china.

  • Online service has been emphasized in various studies for content uses and diffusion of cultural heritage domain. This study purports to investigate the status of contents organization and information services for online cultural heritage services and to suggest improvement directions. This study conducted case studies and expert interviews based on contents, search systems, additional services, and expansion services. It also suggested an integrated information retrieval service for cultural heritage contents as well as the provision of high-quality content and various types of contents. The flexibility of the search function through the content hierarchy, the expansion of access points through the construction of controlled vocabulary, and authority data were also focused. As an additional service, the study proposed a curation-based, user-customized service, data sets open and share, and user participation.

  • 중국 콘텐츠산업에서 온라인 동영상 서비스의 이용자와 시장규모는 빠르게 증가하고 있으며, 그 배경에는 중국 특색의 환경 요인이 작용했다. 특히, 중국의 온라인 동영상 서비스 관련 업체들은 인수합병을 통해 시장 우위를 지속하며 경쟁력 강화를 시도하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 중국 온라인 동영상 서비스의 성장요인을 살펴보는 한편, 대표적인 업체인 유쿠투도우와 아이치이PPS의 인수합병을 통한 비스니즈 사례를 비교하고자 한다.

Effects of Online Engagement on Uses of Digital Paid Contents (온라인 관여가 디지털 유료 콘텐츠 이용에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to empirically investigate how users' online engagement behaviors predict their uses of paid contents. To this end, the data from the 2016 Korean Media Panel Survey, which has been conducted annually by the Korea Information Society Development Institute(KISDI), were analyzed. Major findings(N=8.313) were as follows. First, the active type of online engagement(e.g., posting, commenting), which contributes to direct creation of online contents, was the most powerful predictor to explain the DV. On the other hand, relatively passive actions of user engagement(e.g., sharing, endorsing, voting) turned out to have no significant effects on the uses of paid contents, just as personality traits and online privacy concerns did. Based on these results, it is recommended that online contents or platform service providers should try to establish clearly-targeted marketing strategies, after thoroughly collecting and analyzing the data of users' various online behaviors.

  • The demand for cyber education in Korea is constantly increasing and the need for research on online lecture on contents design that increases the learning effect is rising. In this research, the online lecture contents about the technical information type provided by Korea Cyber University was understood and we researched about the most preferred lecture type and the most effective lecture type in learning among the 1,173 students in Korea Cyber University who participated in this online survey. Also, we analyzed if the students' preference for the lecture type depended on their experience on that lecture type and we studied the students' claims postulated on the interface design of the lecture contents. The most preferred lecture type among students was e-Stream+flash and they answered that multi-media type lectures were the most effective lectures in learning. The majority of the students preferred lecture contents that they have experienced before and preferred the menu on the left side of the page in interface design. Not only the completeness, but the applications in design in lecture contents are also an important factor in online lectures. As the demand for cyber education in Korea is increasing, content design that can increase the academic performance should be further researched.

  • 지난달 3일 서울 송파구 잠실 롯데호텔에서는 정보통신부 주최 한국소프트웨어진흥원 주관으로 온라인디지털콘텐츠산업육성 전략수립을 위한 정책토론회가 개최됐다. 200여명의 업계 관계자들이 참석한 이 자리에서 디지털콘텐츠 각 분야의 전문가들이 참석해 국내 디지털 콘텐츠 산업을 위한 4가지 주제에 대한 발표와 토론이 진행됐다. 이날 개회사를 맡은 이단형 한국소프트웨어진흥원장은 "우리나라의 IT인프라는 세계 최고 수준이지만 양질의 온라인디지털콘텐츠 생산력은 매우 미흡하다"며 "정부차원의 전략적이고 집중적인 육성정책을 수립하고 있으며 이번 토론회를 통해 각계의 의견을 수렴해 정책방향을 최종확정할 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
