Etching properties of BeCu Foil using $FeCl_3$ solution (염화제이철 용액을 이용한 베릴륨동 기판의 식각 특성)

  • 구리와 강철의 성질을 혼합한 것과 같은 우수한 성질을 갖고 있어서 열전도율이 좋고 내마모성이 뛰어난 베릴륨동 기판(BeCu foil)에 대한 식각 특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 일반적으로 베결륨구리에 대한 식각용액은 염화제이철($FeCl_3$)이 널리 알려져 있으며, 이 용액은 농도와 온도에 따라 식각시간이 달라지게 되어 식각되는 면의 상태가 영향을 받게 된다. 염화제이철의 농도를 변화시켜 본 결과 염화제이철의 농도가 증가할수록 식각률이 증가하였고, 염화제이철에 염산(HCI)을 첨가한 결과 식각률이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이는 염화제이철의 성분 중에서 염산(HCl)의 농도가 식각률에 영향을 미치고 있음을 나타낸다. 또한 염화제이철의 온도가 $40^{\circ}C$일때 식각률이 가장 우수하며 식각되는 면의 상태가 매우 양호해지고 각각 되는 면의 각도도 수직에 가까워진다.

Monitoring of Quality Properties with Drying of Citrus (감귤의 건조에 따른 품질특성 모니터링)

  • The response surface methodology was performed by central composite design for moisture content, titratable acidity, hunter's color value and organoleptic properties based on drying temperature and time of Citrus, to apply basic data to preparation of dried Citrus. Moisture content, b value and organoleptic color were affected by drying temperature ; That decreased with increase of drying temperature. Titratable acidity was affected by drying time. Organoleptic flavor and taste were affected by drying temperature and time. The optimum drying conditons for organoleptic taste were 67.56$^{\circ}C$ in drying temperature and 8.06 hr in drying time.

An Experimental Study on the Cooling of Unburned Surface due to Water Droplet (물액적에 의한 미연소면의 냉각에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The objective of the present work is to examine the cooling characteristics of water droplet on the unburned surface. The hot solid surface material used brass, carbon steel and copper at temperature ranging from 70 to $116^{\circ}$. the droplet size is from 2.4 mm to 3.0 mm. The CCD camera was used to record the evaporation histories of the droplets. and the evaporation time of the droplet on the hot solid surface could be determined by using frame-by-frame analysis of the video records. It is found that during the droplet evaporation process for copper the temperature remains nearly constant, whereas for carbon steel the temperature continuously decreases about $1^{\circ}$. During the droplet evaporation process on the hot solid surface, regardless of solid materials, nondimensional droplet volume decreases nondimensional evaporation time increases.

  • This experiment was carried out to examine the effect of iron oxide roasting for Sr-ferrite magnet. Chloride content was decreased with raising the 2 nd roasting temperature of iron oxide for ruthner process iron oxide. The optimization temperature for roasting of ruthner process iron oxide was around $800^{\circ}C$ as average particle size 1.5∼1.9 $\mu\textrm{m}$, apparent bulk density 1.4 g/$m\ell$ and chloride content 0.05%. The relation between Br and HcJ by sintering temperature for Sr-ferrite magnet was found to be Br≒-0.258HcJ+494. In case of having a vibrating disk mill for the ruthner process iron oxide, the magnetic properties were Br 421 mT and HcJ 251 kA/m.

  • The dynamic behavior of the Ko-ri Unit 1 nuclear reactor following some credible and postulated accidents has been analyzed to a certain extent by means of neutronics and temperature equations formulated in terms of point reactor model. In general, the result of numerical calculation is harnessed to be incorporated in more elaborate models so as to predict transient behavior in a reliable mode as a part of accident analysis. It is shown in the case of power response upon an uncontrolled withdrawal of rod cluster control assembly at hot full power that the point reactor kinetics model proves to be good enough to reproduce the generic features described in the final safety analysis report of the Ko-ri Unit 1.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental heating design data for the large public enclosures as gymnasium. This study executed indoor thermal environment verification of the existing gymnasium by measuring temperature distribution with and without heating the space in winter. Heating loads from human body was not considered. We examined various indoor thermal environment factors of the large enclosed space in this study which include vertical and horizontal temperature distribution, supply and return air flow feature, thermal comfort environment feature, amount of ventilation and etc.

  • 200kW급 가스엔진 열병합시스템에서 엔진 냉각수는 엔진을 냉각시키는 기능 뿐아니라 배열회수용 열원으로 사용된다. 전력부하나 냉·난방 부하가 변할 때 엔진 냉각수의 온도가 민감하게 변하므로 이를 일정하게 제어하기 위하여 PID 제어기를 사용하고 있다. 본 연구는 이 제어기의 적정 이득값(gain)을 설정하기 위하여 공정 전달함수를 실험적방법을 이용하여 일차시간지연함수(First Order Plus Dead Time)로 근사한 후 여러 조율방법을 사용하여 이득값을 구하였다. 이 이득값과 전달함수를 가지고 공정모사기인 “MATLAB”을 사용하여 시스템에 적합한 적정이득값을 선정 하였으며 실증실험 결과 시스템의 온도동특성이 안정됨을 보였다.

참외식초/농축액을 함유한 참외농축음료의 저장조건 모니터링

  • 현재 참외는 생산량의 대부분이 생과로 소비되고 있으나, 저장성이 낮아 새로운 가공식품 개발이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 참외식초/참외농축액을 함유하는 참외농축음료를 제조하였으며, 유통기간 동안 품질변화를 알아보기 위해 저장온도 및 저장시간에 따른 품질변화를 조사하였다. 배합조건에 따라 배합한 참외농축음료를 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 30분간 살균한 후 저장온도 및 시간에 따른 품질변화 및 관능적 특성변화를 모니터링하였다. 저장온도(20, 30, 40, 50, 6$0^{\circ}C$) 및 저장시간(0, 2, 4, 5, 8 week)을 독립변수(Xi.)로 하여 달리한 각 실험조건을 -2, -1, 0, 1, 2의 다신 단계로 부호화하고 실험조건을 설계한 다음 각 조건에서 저장된 참외음료의 품질특성(종속변수, Yn)을 모니터링하였다. 관능검사는 선정된 패널요원을 대상으로 4$^{\circ}C$에서 저장한 대조구와의 색상, 향, 맛 및 전반적인 기호도가 어떻게 달라지는가를 평가하였으며, 색도 및 갈색도를 측정하였다. 또한 제조된 참외 농축 음료를 저장하면서 미생물의 생육유무를 확인하기 위해 Petrifilm을 사용하여 미생물의 유무를 확인하였다. 참외식초/참외농축액을 이용한 참외농축음료를 제조하여 음료의 저장온도 및 저장시간에 따른 관능적인 특성 및 품질 특성을 모니터링하면서 저장성 실험을 통해 저장안전성을 평가한 결과 저장시간 및 저장온도에 따른 관능적인 색상은 1.6~4.0의 값을 나타내었으며, 향은 2.3~4.0의 값을 나타내었으며, 맛은 1.8~4.0의 값을, 전반적인 기호도는 2.1~4.0의 감을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 이화학적 품질 검사 결과, 색도L(백색도)값은 21.79~87.23, 색도 a(적색도)값은 -1.27~35.79의 값을 나타내었으며, 색도 b(황색도)값은 16.57~18.89의 값을 나타내었다. 갈색도는 0.386~3.214의 값을 나타내었으며, PH는 4.02~4.24의 값을 나타내었다. 일반미생물은 검사 결과 모든 조건에서 검출되지 않았다. 참외농축음료를 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 30분간 살균하여 미생물학적 품질 검사 결과 저장온도 및 저장시간에 따라 미생물이 검출되지 않았으며, 유통하기에 적합한 음료가 제조됨을 검증할 수 있었다.

Reduction leaching of manganese nodule with copper matte (동매트를 이용한 망간 단괴의 환원 침출)

  • The leaching characteristics of manganese nodules were investigated in dilute hydrochloric acid solution using copper malie as a reductant. Thc capper matte has been found to be an effective reductant for exhacting morc than 96% of Mn, 95% of Ni, 91% of Ca, 88% of Cu and 36% of Fe when leached in 2.5 M HCI at 70$^{\circ}$C for 2hr. The dissolutions of Mu, Co, and Ni depend on thc amaunt of added cappcr matte. 7he ratin of liquid and solid is an important [actor on the extraction of metals during leaching The dissolution af Mn, Co, Ni and Cu incrcascd w~th the increase in temperalure of leachant. The leaching rates of Mn, Co, NI and Cu from manganese nodule m the presznce of copper matte is limited by bath thc surface chemical reaction and pare diffusion processes. Thc activation energies far Mn. Co: Ni and Cu were 17. 61, 12.8, 17.2 and 57.88 KcaUmol, rcspcctively.

  • The recently developed marine engines for propulsion of ships have higher torsional exciting force than previous engines to improve the propulsion efficiency and to reduce specific fuel oil consumption. As a result, a viscous damper or viscous-spring damper is installed in front of marine engine to control the torsional vibration. In the case of viscous damper, it is supposed that there is no elastic connection in the silicon oil, which is filled between the damper housing and inertia ring. However, In reality, the silicon oil with high viscosity possesses torsional stiffness and has non-linear dynamic characteristics according to the operating temperature and frequency of the viscous damper. In this study, the damping characteristics of a viscous damper used to control the torsional vibration of the shafting system have been reviewed and the characteristics of torsional vibration of the shafting system equipped with a corresponding viscous damper have been examined. In addition, it is examined how to interpret the theoretically optimal dynamic characteristics of a viscous damper for this purpose, and the optimum design for the propulsion shafting system has been suggested considering the operating temperature and aging. when the torsional vibration of the shafting system is controlled by a viscous damper filled with highly viscous silicon oil.
