Magnetic and Infrared Spectral Studies of Oxovanadium (IV)-Carboxylate Complexes (옥소바나듐 (IV)-카르복실레이트 착물의 자기적 및 적외적 분광학적 성질)

  • Four oxovandium(IV) complexes with carboxylate ligands, $VO(picn)_2$, $VO(htmq)_2$, $VO(quin)_2$ and $VO(pyra)_2{\cdot}2H_2O)$ have been prepared and studied. Infrared spectral data coupled with the results of magnetic susceptibility study strongly suggest that there are relatively strong intermolecular interactions in $VO(picn)_2$ and $VO(htmq)_2$. In all oxovanadium(IV) complexes studied in this work, the carboxylate ligand coordinates to the metal ion in the unidentated fashion. Some fundamental vibration modes of oxovanadium(IV) complexes were empirically assigned from the difference in the spectrum of metal complex with free ligand.

Small Angle X-Ray Scattering Study on the Oxopolymer Variations of BaTi-ethoxide Sol by Catalysts (촉매제에 의한 BaTi-에톡사이드 솔의 옥소폴리머 변화에 대한 저각 X선 산란연구)

  • Small angle X-ray scattering was used to study on the oxopolymers of sols derived from BaTiethoxide. The growths of the oxopolymers in tools obtained with NH40H as catalyst and catalystfree sol are similar. Their radii of gyration are 1.66-2.08nm. They exhibit a mass fractal behavior with a dimension of 1.6, which is almost inde pendent with amount of NH40H addition. Sols catalyzed with CHSCOOH have greater radii of gyration of 3.24-4.OOnm. Their scattering curves are similar in the intermediate Q region, showing a mass fractal dimension of 1.8. The oxopolymers of the tools from the base and the neutral hydrolysis conditions may have a short chain structure.

  • A Kerr cell was utilized as an optical shutter to generate a shortened pulse and as an isolator between amplifiers in an iodine laser system. By rotating the polarization of incident laser pulse only during the timing window of high voltage applied to the Kerr cell, shortened pulses of 5 ns and 1 ns, corresponding to the difference in propagation time of two coaxial cables, were obtained. It was also noticed that more than one timing window of Kerr cell was produced with a long incident laser pulse from the oscillator. The measured transmittance of Kerr cell with respect to applied voltage was compared with the theoretical estimation using the electro-optic Kerr effect theory. Through the amplification of the shortened pulse in iodine amplifiers. a pulse of 0.5 GW(2 J in 4 ns) was obtained. ained.

  • PWR-GALE Code is a computerized mathematical model for calculating the releases of radioactive material in gaseous and liquid effluents from PWRs. In PWR-GALE Code, Auxiliary building iodine removal efficiency, one of the code input data, did not reflect adequately the new design of KSNP which has two auxiliary buildings(PAB and SAB). In this study, we developed a revised method how to correct iodine removal efficiency in KSNP. And newly proposed methodology through case study using Ul-Jin 5, 6 design data was verified.

  • The substituted quinolinium salts of pentachlorooxomolybdate (V) have been synthesized and characterized by means of the investigation of elemental analysis, infrared spectra, electron spectra, electric conductivity. The results of elemental analysis were well coincided with the theoretical value and all prepared salts were mononuclear complexes. The complexes were binary univalent electrolytes and analyzed d-d transition and charge transfer transition.
