A case study to test the open API service functions of Geographic Information Open Platform(Vworld) for Environmental Impact Assessment was carried out for improving the function of Environmental Impact Assessment Geographic Information System(EIAGIS) which is one of Environmental Impact Assessment Supporting System(EIASS) used for current Environmental Impact Assessment. Followings are the summary of the study. First, utilization of EIAGIS was low since DB renewal was limited and the quality of 2D based topographic information was low. A new service which could respond to practitioners' needs could be developed to use a open API service of Vworld provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to make up those disadvantages. EIASS with Vworld could provide a consulting service from the beginning stage of business plan and make improvements of confidence as well as fast agreements since both consultation agencies and assessment agencies are using a same program during Environmental Impact Assessment process with customized information.

A software birthmark means inherent characteristics that can be used to identify a program. Because the software birthmark is difficult to remove by simple program transformation, it can be used to detect code theft. In this paper, we propose a birthmark technique based on API k-gram of Android applications. Android SDK provides various libraries that help programmers to develop application easily. In order to use Android SDK, we have to use API method calls. The API call instructions are hard to be replaced or removed, so they can be a inherent characteristics of an application. To show the effectiveness of the proposed birthmark, we compared it with previous birthmarks and evaluated it with open source applications. From the experiments, we verified that the credibility and resilience of our birthmark is higher than previous birthmarks.

Many developers utilize specific APIs to develop software, and to identify the use of a particular API, a developer can refer to a website that provides the API or can retrieve the API from the web. However, the site that provides the API does not necessarily provide guidance on how to use it while it can be partially provided in many other cases. In this paper, we propose a novel system JACE (Java AST collocation-pattern extractor) as a method to reuse commonly-used code as a supplement. The JACE extracts the API call nodes, collocation patterns and analyzes the relations between the collocations to extract significant API patterns from the source code. The following experiment was performed to verify the accuracy of a defined pattern: 794 open source projects were analyzed to extract about 15M API call nodes. Then, the Eclipse plug-in test program was utilized to retrieve the pattern using the top 10 classes of API call nodes. Finally, the code search results from reference pages of the API classes and the Searchcode [1] were compared with the test program results.

Software birthmarks, which are unique characteristics of the software, are used to detect software plagiarism or software similarity. Generally, software birthmarks are divided into static birthmarks or dynamic birthmarks, which have evident pros and cons depending on the extraction method. In this paper, we propose a method for extracting the API sequence birthmarks using a dynamic analysis and similarity detection between the executable codes. Dynamic birthmarks based on API sequences extract API functions during the execution of programs. The extracted API sequences often include all the API functions called from the start to the end of the program. Meanwhile, our dynamic birthmark scheme extracts the API functions only called directly from the executable code. Then, it uses a sequence alignment algorithm to calculate the similarity metric effectively. We evaluate the birthmark with several open source software programs to verify its reliability and credibility. Our dynamic birthmark scheme based on the extracted API sequence can be utilized in a similarity test of executable codes.

최근 빌링(billing, 과금), 벤치마킹, 확장성(scalability), 통계적 목적을 위해 오픈스택 클라우드의 개별 컴포넌트를 모니터링하고 메터링하는 텔레메터링 서비스가 Ceilometer라는 코드명으로 정식 프로젝트로 추가되었다. 초기의 빌링만을 위해 필수 요소만 모니터링하는 것에서, 상태를 감시하여 클라우드 자원의 오토스케일링 등의 오케스트레이션 기능을 위한 다목적성으로 발전하고 있다. 특히 이것은 빅데이터 등의 데이터 분석에 있어서 중요한 힌트를 제공해 준다. 본고는 소스분석을 통한 Ceilometer의 데이터 수집 구조, Ceilometer 모니터링의 핵심 키워드, 비정형 데이터 DB인 MongoDB, 외부인터페이스로써 API(Application Interface) 혹은 CLI(Command Line Interface) 명령어를 소개하고자 한다. 결론에서는 ceilometer의 전반적 구조에 대한 나름대로의 평가를 기술하였다.

사람들의 대화에 사용되는 단어는 사전적으로 정의되어 있으나 개인마다 단어의 의미를 다르게 받아들이기도 한다. 단어에는 단순히 사전의 정의만 담겨 있는 것이 아니라 개인의 감정과 삶의 시간 또한 담겨 있기 때문이다. 각기 다른 의미로 단어를 사용함에 따라 야기되는 소통 장애를 해소하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 단어의 일반적 정의뿐 아니라 개개인 각자의 의미를 담을 수 있는 오픈사전 앱을 개발하였다. 일반사전에서는 공공 API를 통해 국립국어원의 우리말샘 사전을 사용하며, 오픈사전에서는 웹서버를 연동하여 MySQL에 사용자가 정의한 단어를 등록한다. 또한 본 앱에서는 해상도별 이미지를 구현하여 다양한 화면에 대응하였다.

A special library using Web 2.0 technologies should explore a new service to meet appropriately the needs for users. By applying the RSS and OPEN API, this paper developed a new information service for the Korea Institute of Public Finance(KIPF). In order for the library to sustain in the future challenges, it should participate actively in the developments of new strategic options and technological changes.

Tizen은 삼성전자와 인텔(Intel), 리눅스 재단(Linux Foudation)이 공동으로 개발한 리눅스(Linux) 기반의 오픈 소스 플랫폼(Open Source Platform)이다. Tizen은 스마트폰(Smart Phone)과 태블릿 PC(Tablet PC)를 위한 운영체제이지만 GPS(Global Positioning System) 내비게이션을 포함한 자동차 인포테이먼트(In-Vehicle Infotainment) 시스템과 넷북(Netbook), 스마트 TV(Smart TV)에서도 사용될 수 있도록 개발되었다. Tizen은 안드로이드(Android)와 마찬가지로 리눅스 커널(Kernel)에서 실행할 수 있지만, 소프트웨어 프레임워크(Software Framework)는 HTML5(Hypertext Mark-up Language 5)로 설계되었다. 또한 Tizen은 HTML5 를 기반으로 다른 플랫폼에서도 쉽게 호환될 수 있는 웹 어플리케이션의 실행을 지원한다는 특징을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Tizen 웹 어플리케이션 개발의 기반이 되는 HTML5 API 와 Tizen 웹 API 를 중점적으로 살펴 본다. 그리고 이 두 가지 핵심 요소에 대한 이해를 통해 Tizen 의 향후 발전가능성을 조명한다.

In the field of urban planning and disaster prevention, various geographical information systems (GIS) and design softwares have been in use. Recently urban planners and disaster managing officials face new challenges, as three dimensional GIS, web environment, and smart phone app are rapidly developed. Technical progress in open API and mashup opens a possibility of making the citizen participation-based smart phone applications in the field of urban planning and disaster prevention. Our suggested smart phone applications will have technical, economic, and administrative impacts on the society in general; and play an effective role in developing U-City, U-health, and disaster prevention.
