오프셋 인쇄에서의 동기화 오차 정밀 계측 및 보정 연구 (Measurement and Compensation of Synchronization Error in Offset Printing Process)

  • Flexible electronics have been to the fore because it is believed that flexibility can add incredible value such as light weight and mobility into the existing electronic devices and create new markets of large-area and low-cost electronics such as wearable eletronics in near future. Offset printing processes are regarded as major candidates for manufacturing the flexible electronics because they can provide the patterning resolution of micron-size effectively in large-area. In view of mechanics, the most important viewpoint in offset printing is how to achieve the synchronized movement of two contact surfaces in order to prevent slip between two contact surfaces and distortion of the blanket surface during ink transfer so that the high-resolution and good-overlay patterns can be printed. In this paper, a novel low-cost measurement method of the synchronization error using the motor control output signals is proposed and the compensation method is presented to minimize the synchronization error.

H-UV 무습수 오프셋 인쇄에서 CMS 적용에 관한 연구 (Study on CMS Application in Hybrid UV Waterless Off-Set Printing)

  • This study found fit optimum C, M, Y, K solid density and $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ value to paper & ink as well as check about printing machine state for color management in H-UV waterless off-set printing first. These values applied to GRACoL G7 calibration method. This method is one of color standard management method of printing. GRACoL G7 calibration method is possible stable tone reappearance by controlling gray balance by NPDC(Natural Printing Density Curve). Also, this study used values to make device profile as result that is gotten by application of GRACoL G7 calibration method. This profile was applied to CMS(Color Management System) of H-UV waterless off-set printing, and the result was possible by color management that correspond in printing quality standard of ISO 12647-2 and GRACol 2006 specifications.

은 잉크를 이용한 그라비아 오프셋의 전극인쇄에서 닥터링 공정의 영향 (The Effects of Doctoring Process in Gravure Off-set Printing on Patterning of Electrodes with Ag Ink)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the effects of doctoring process on the patterns of Ag ink in gravure off-set printing. The parameters of doctoring process were the angle and the pressure, which was represented by the depth of blade movement to the gravure roll, of doctor blade to the surface of gravure roll, and the angle of patterns engraved on the gravure roll to the doctor blade moving direction. The proper parameters were extracted for the fine patterns and they were 15 mm for the pressure, $60^{\circ}$ for the blade angle. And the angle of patterns with respect to the blade movement should be less than $40^{\circ}$ for the best results. The gravure off-set printing with the above parameters was carried out to print gate electrodes and scan bus lines of OTFT-backplane for e-paper. The line width of $50{\mu}m$ was successfully obtained. The thickness of electrodes was $2.5{\mu}m$ and the surface roughness was $0.65{\mu}m$ and the sheet resistance was $15.8{\Omega}/{\Box}$.

  • Offset paper printing is a promising roll-to-roll technique for color printed materials. Although it is no doubt that understanding ink transfer mechanism in offset printing process is necessary to achieve high printing quality, investing the relationship between inks and substrates at the nip is difficult experimentally due to high printing speed. In this paper, rheological behavior and splitting point of the ink at the nip is studied using package software Ployflow and Flow 3D based on Navier-Stokes equation. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) ink and IGT printability tester were used for an model ink and experiment to compare with that of simulation data, respectively. As a result, higher viscosity at state flow and pressure increased ink transfer due to higher possibility of presence of cavitation at the nip and increase in covering area ratio. These results have shown good agreements with experimental data compared by measuring density of print through.

광대역 동축-마이크로스트립 수직 트랜지션의 전송 손실 저감 설계 (Design for Minimizing Transmission Loss of Broadband Right-Angle Coaxial-to-Microstrip Transition)

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 동축-마이크로스트립 선로에서 전송 손실을 최소화하는 수직 트랜지션(transition)의 설계 기법을 제안하였다. 동축-마이크로스트립 선로의 수직 트랜지션은 동축 선로와 인쇄 회로 기판이 수직으로 연결되는 구조로서 인쇄형 안테나 혹은 마이크로스트립 기판을 사용하는 마이크로파 송수신 장치 등에 널리 사용된다. 제안한 설계 방법은 넓은 대역폭을 가지면서 전송 손실을 최소화하는 방법으로, 접지 개구면(ground aperture)의 지름, 프로브(probe)의 지름, 접지 개구면의 오프셋과 스텁(stub) 길이를 설계 변수로 설정하여, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계 값을 구하였다. 동축 선로와 마이크로스트립 기판은 일반적으로 널리 사용되는 SMA 커넥터와 PTFE 재질의 두께 0.254, 0.508 및 0.787 mm 기판을 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 구한 설계 변수 값들을 입증하기 위하여 SMA 동축 커넥터와 0.787 mm 두께의 기판을 사용하여 수직 트랜지션 시험 블록을 제작하였다. 이 트랜지션의 특성을 측정한 결과 $0.05{\sim}20GHz$주파수 범위에서 반사 계수가 -22 dB 이하이고, 전송 손실이 0.45 dB 이하인 만족할만한 결과를 얻었다.
