우리 몸에서 가장 중요한 것은 얼굴과 두 눈이고, 아름다움도 얼굴에서 나온다. 세상에서 가장 아름다운 여인으로 서양에서는 클레오파트라(Cleopatra)이고, 동양은 양귀비(楊貴妃, 719~756)를 대표적 예로 든다. 미국 캘리포니아 대학의 Zadeh 교수는 강의 시 휴식시간에 '어느 교수의 부인이 아름다운가?' 라는 농담을 하면서 제일 예쁜 여자는 A그룹, 그 다음은 B 그룹 등으로 구분하는데 착안하여 Fuzzy 개념을 발견(1965)하였고, 그 후 연구계 및 산업체에서 이 이론을 확장해 퍼지세탁기, 퍼지냉장고 등이 가전 시장을 석권한 바 있다. 한편, 2004년 미국 하버드대 기숙사에서 친구와 함께 재미삼아 페이스북을 만든 마크 저커버그(28). 여자친구의 사생활을 여기에 올려 이별의 아픔을 맛보기도 했던 그가 8년 만에 세계적 282억 달러의 부호가 됐다. 세계 인터넷업계가 가슴을 졸이며 기다려온 페이스북의 기업공개(IPO 주식상장)를 통해서다. 1783년 스위스 수학자인 오일러(Euler, 1707~1783) : 학문적으로 방대한 업적을 남긴 만큼 오일러의 인생도 파란만장했다. 그는 20대 초반의 젊은 나이에 병으로 한쪽 눈을 실명하는 불운을 겪기도 했다. 러시아로 돌아간 말년에는 수학문제를 풀기위해서 사흘 밤낮을 꼬박 몰두하다 다른 쪽 시력마저 잃게 된다. 당시 파리아카데미에서는 수여하는 권위 있는 상을 수상하고자 저명한 수학자들도 몇 개월 붙잡는 어려운 문제를 단 사흘 만에 풀었는데 너무나 집중한 나머지 실명한 것이었다. 양쪽 눈을 모두 잃었지만 오일러는 비서에게 자신의 생각들을 받아 적게 하는 방식으로 계속해서 훌륭한 업적을 남겼다. 양 눈(안(眼)) 사이 거리는 6.5cm, 이 시각차가 오늘 3D TV 시대를 열었다. 본고에서는 최근 관심이 고조된 저커버그의 페이스북과 오일러 e에 관해 요약했다.

본 논문에서는 유니버설 조인트의 동역학적인 해석을 위하여 오일러 각 순서에 의한 방법과 4원수에 의한 방법으로 운동방정식을 유도하였다. 원동축과 종동축의 회전은 물론 세차운동을 하는 회전축을 포함할 때 각 방법의 상이점을 발견하였다. 이러한 시스템의 동역학적 정식화를 바탕으로 한 수치 예제를 통하여 기존의 오일러 각 방법과 제시한 4원수 방법의 해석 결과를 비교하였다.

A temperature preconditioning that modulates the derivative of density with respect to temperature is proposed to improve the convergence characteristics of the preconditioned Euler equations. Flows in a two-dimensional channel with a 10% circular bump in the middle of the channel were calculated at different speeds. The numerical dissipation terms of the Roe’s FDS scheme according to the temperature preconditioning are derived. It is shown that the temperature preconditioning accelerates convergence of the preconditioned Euler equations.

A latin square of order n is an $n{\times}n$ array with entries from a set of n numbers arrange in such a way that each number occurs exactly once in each row and exactly once in each column. Two latin squares of the same order are orthogonal latin square if the two latin squares are superimposed, then the $n^2$ cells contain each pair consisting of a number from the first square and a number from the second. In Europe, Orthogonal Latin squares are the mathematical concepts attributed to Euler. However, an Euler square of order nine was already in existence prior to Euler in Korea. It appeared in the monograph Koo-Soo-Ryak written by Choi Seok-Jeong(1646-1715). He construct a magic square by using two orthogonal latin squares for the first time in the world. In this paper, we explain Choi' s orthogonal latin squares and the history of the Orthogonal Latin squares.

오일러의 미분 방정식은 보조 방정식을 이용하면 쉽게 일반해를 구할 수 있다. 정의된 유사-오일러 미분 방정식을 풀기 위해 규정된 조건을 만족토록 하면 보조 방정식을 이용하여 일반해를 쉽게 구할 수 있음을 보였다.

A comprehensive study has been made for the investigation of the convergence and stability characteristics of the LU scheme for solving the Euler equations on unstructured meshes. The von Neumann stability analysis technique was initially applied to a scalar model equation, and then the analysis was extended to the Euler equations. The results indicated that the convergence rate is governed by a specific combination of flow parameters. Based on this insight, it was shown that the LU scheme does not suffer any convergence deterioration at all grid aspect ratios, as long as the local time step is defined using an appropriate parameter combination.

The effects of cancellation errors on the convergence characteristics of preconditioned Euler equations at low Mach numbers are analyzed. Flows in a two-dimensional channel with a circular bump are calculated at different Mach numbers. It is shown that the cancellation error in the energy equation grows faster than those in the other equations as the Mach number decreases. It is also shown that the cancellation problem of the energy equation can be alleviated by multiplying the inversion of the preconditioner.

This paper is aimed at studying a historical background of graph theory and we deal with the computer representation of graph through a simple example. Graph is represented by adjacency matrix, edge table, adjacency lists and we study the matrix representation by Euler circuit. The effect of the matrix representation by Euler circuit economize the storage capacity of computer. The economy of a storage capacity has meaning on a mobile system.

본 연구는 수정 오일러 법칙을 이용한 봉의 열전달문제를 엄밀해와 수치해를 수치해석적 해법을 이용해 비교한 것이다. 경계조건으로는 열전도 및 대류가 동시에 존재하는 경우의 모델을 가정하여 계산하였고, 봉의 길이가 원주방향에 비해 상당히 길다고 가정하여 1차원으로 지배방정식을 정리하여 2차 상미분방정식을 유도하여 계산을 수행하였다. 계산을 수행한 결과 적절한 초기 추측값인 ${\beta}$값을 정의하면 오일러의 방정식으로도 충분히 만족할만한 결과를 얻을 수 있다는 것을 알았고, 지수함수 형태의 유도 상관식이 엄밀해와 ${\pm}1%$ 범위 내에서 일치한다는 결과를 얻었다.

컴퓨터를 이용한 제품의 설계시 개념설계부터 최종설계에 이르는 동안 설계모델은 많은 수정을 요하게 된다. 이 과정에서 개념설계 단계부터 솔리드 모델을 채용하는 것은 불편하므로, 와이어프레임 모델이나 곡면 모델을 이용하여 설계를 진행하다가, 최종설계 단계에서 솔리드 모델로 전환하는 것이 바람직하다. 이 경우 이 3가지 모델을 모두 지원하는 모델러가 요구되는데 '복합다양체'를 지원하는 모델러가 이 요건을 만족시킨다. 또한 경계표현(B-rep)방식으로 모델링시 불리안 작업자를 많이 이용하는데, 모델링 도중에 불리한 작업으로 생성된 모델의 Undo작업은 용이하지 않은 일이다. 따라서 불리안 작업으로 생성된 모델의 수정작업을 위한 알고리즘이 요구된다, 일한 수정작업을 위해선 복합다양체를 지원하는 자료구조가 필요하다. 본 논문에선 이러한 복합다양체 자료구조를 갖는 형상모델러의 기본적 자료구조와 기본물체 모델링시 오일러 작업자를 구현하였다.
