Antioxidant Contents and Antioxidant Activities of Hot-Water Extracts of Aronia (Aronia melancocarpa) with Different Drying Methods (건조방법에 따른 아로니아(Aronia melancocarpa) 열수 추출물의 항산화 성분 함량 및 항산화 활성)

  • This study determined the antioxidant levels and activities of hot water aronia extracts by different drying methods such as sun drying, sun drying after steam treatment, freeze-drying, and oven drying. The total polyphenol content, calculated as gallic acid equivalent, was the highest in the freeze-dried sample (910 mg), followed by sun-dried after steam treatment (779 mg), sun-dried (769 mg), and oven-dried (757 mg) samples. Similar patterns were observed for the total flavonoid and anthocyanin contents. Freeze-dried aronia samples contained the highest polyphenol, flavonoid, and anthocyanin contents as compared to the samples dried by other methods. All antioxidant activities were found to increase in a dose-dependent manner. For the hot water-extracted freeze-dried aronia powder (200 mg/mL), the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS) radicalscavenging activities were 65.5% and 61.7% and the hydroxyl and superoxide anion radical-scavenging activities were 50.5% and 52.1%, respectively. These results suggest that comparatively, freeze-drying is a better method for preserving the bioactive components and the antioxidant activities of aronia.

  • It is net easy to predict the shrinkage rate of a plastic injection mold in its design process. The shrinkage rate should be considered as one of the important performances to produce the reliable products. The shrinkage rate can be determined by suing the CAE tools in the design produces. However, since the analysis can take minutes to hours, the high computational costs of performing the analysis limit their use in design optimization. In this study, the surrogate models based on the DACE is used in lien of the original models, facilitating design optimization.

  • 잉크젯으로 인쇄된 실버 나노입자가 오븐, 레이저, 전기를 이용한 소결방법에 의해 소결되었다. 전도성 라인은 드롭 온 디맨드형(drop-on-demand) 잉크젯 프린터에 의해 유리 기판 위에 인쇄되었다. 레이저를 이용한 소결은 레이저 강도와 조사시간을 변화시키면서 실버나노입자를 소결하였고, 전기 소결은 인쇄된 라인에 정전류 방식을 이용하여 인가해주는 전류값을 변화시키면서 소결하였다. 소결방법에 따른 비저항변화, 단면적 변화, 미세구조변화를 관찰하였고 이 결과를 오븐 소결 결과와 비교하였다. 전기를 이용하여 소결하였을 경우 가장 낮은 비저항을 얻을 수 있었고, 은의 고유 비저항에 비하여 1.7배 큰 비저항을 얻었다.

Reduction of Stainless Steelmaking Dust by Microwave Heating (마이크로파 가열에 의한 스테인레스강 분진의 환원)

  • Reduction behavior of stainless steelmaking dust by microwave heating process was investigated using coke and charcoal as reducing agents. Pellet dust and stanless steelmaking dust pelletized with reducing agent were reduced by the heating upto $1000^{\circ}C$ in microwave oven. The results showed that charcoal and coke seemed effective in the reduction of metals from stainless steelmaking dust by microwave heating and charocal was found to be better than coke. Degree of reduction seemed similar with the power of 500W and 700W in microwave oven. Dusts were rapidly reduced within 20 minutes. Reducing degree decreased in the order of Fe>Ni>Cr.

  • Recently, the engineering designer of injection mould has become more and more dependent on the CAE. In the design factors of injection mould, the shrinkage rate should be considered as one of the important performances to produce the reliable products. therefore the shrinkage rate can be mostly calculated by the MoldFlow and Pro-engineering. in the design process. However it is not easy to predict the shrinkage rate of a plastic injection mold in its design process because the analysis can take minutes to hours, the high computational costs of performing the analysis limit their use in design optimization. In this study, the surrogate models, DACE model, based on the Kriging in order to optimize the shrinkage rate of electric microwave oven window is used in lieu of the original models, facilitating design optimization.

  • FDTD(Finite-Difference Time-Domain) 방법을 이용하여 마이크로웨이브 오븐 내부 전자파를 해석하였고, 열전달방정식을 이용하여 부하의 열 분포를 해석하였다. 다양한 형태의 오프닝구조를 갖는 캐비티에 관하여 수치계산을 수행하였고, 서로 다른 종류의 부하가 존재할 때 부하의 온도 분포가 어떻게 변화하는지 알아보았다. 또한 마그네트론의 안테나와 캡이 존재하는 실제 웨이브가이드를 모델링하여 수치 계산한 후, 적외선사진에 의한 부하의 온도분포와 비교하였다.
